I have had this shoe before. It is a great running shoe for me.

The GT-2000 5 is the only shoe I can wear comfortably with my prescription orthotics. All other outlets have stopped carrying this model. I have worn these shoes since they came out. Please don't stop making them available. I purchased two extra pairs as a back up. Great shoe !!

This is my 3rd pair of 2000 5's. None of the tear issues reported on the 6's. This is a great shoe, up to the high standards of the ASICS brand.

I have been wearing GT-2000 shoes for several years and have found them durable and comfortable. The size and width are accurate and the arch support is very good. They are very lightweight and breath well to prevent moisture buildup.

These were a replacement for older GT-2000. Excellent fit, very light, and stable heel. Love the colors

I bought this shoe 2 months ago and couldn't be happier. This shoe puts all others to shame in performance, and durability.

At the stage in life where I appreciate a very comfortable walking shoe- this is IT ! Super cushioning - I have a couple of pair. Looks great.

This is my second pair of the GT 2000. In the past when I have purchase other brands, my running shoes compress and tilt to the outside after about 6 months. These shoes are built to keep your foot in line and stable. Over a year later they still sit straight up and provide great support. A great shoe.

I actually haven't used it yet, but I've been buying the same ASICS model for years and have always liked its styling, support and comfort so I'm sure it will be the same. Truly love this shoe/model, and will continue to purchase it in the future.

I have pretty severe overpronation. As a result, walking or running too far used to result in pretty bad pain for me. Ever since I switched to the GT-2000, I can go much further without any pain. I couldn't get around without these.

Not sure why I ever tried other brands (I guess we all make mistakes!)...Great fit and comfort...I will never buy another brand of running shoe.

ASICS makes it easy to order an appropriate shoe. I overpronate, have custom orthotics AND need a wide shoe. The GT series is always a solid selection. The GT series keeps my foot stable, easily accommodates the orthotics and give me the 4E width. I'm a fan.

Bought this shoe two months ago and it's stood up well to workout five times per week. Lots of cardio. I'd buy another.

Bought these for my grandson, who has very narrow, hard to fit feet; in ASICS brand he can wear a medium width. Based on that, after trying several brands, this one seems to run more narrow. He absolutely loves these shoes, and says they are extremely comfortable, with good arch support.

I picked these uo while wandeting around Modell's looking for a deal and stumbled across the GT2000-5 zip tied together on clearance in the beautiful directorie blue. I'm usually an 8 but all they had was 8.5, so I tried em on and they fit comfortably. Turns out asics tend to run a half size small. I've owned/own adidas, nike, saucony, reebok. Asics is one of my new favorite brands.

Got these shoes for OCR racing only because the ASICS Kayano shoes work great for my running style and most shoes I can wear or my knees will start to hurt, especially my IT Band. Well I used these at a Toughest Mudder for 25+ miles over 8 hours and they were amazing. They held up and got me through the race without any knee pain.

Wanted to wait awhile before reviewing. Not a runner, but a walker. 2-3 mile daily at aggressive pace for age .. 75 and these hoes are super comfortable with best cushioning I've experienced for my old feet & body. Only caution is the web toe cover which may in time tear through as I've experienced on other shoes with similar toe fabric?
I'd also recommend:
Hoka yes! Brooks no!

Great Asics shoe, as usual. Perhaps slightly narrower than my last pair but still fit fine.

The shoe is light and cool which is especially good for the summer. It looks good too. It runs a little small but that should not change the size you normally get.

This has been my favorite shoe in years--so much so that I'm on my 3rd pair. My only complaint has been the liner in the heel at the top where the material touches my Achilles seems to wear out faster than expected. Otherwise this shoe is tops for comfort and stability.

I purchased the GT 2000-5 two weeks ago and they are great. I did go one half size bigger as suggested on several reviews I had read. Fit perfect. I take a C width but can only find D widths which is fine in this model. May be a little narrow for anyone with wider widths requiring the EE. I run four miles each day and they are very comfortable and supportive. I used to run 100 miles per week and had trouble with pronation ending up with orthodics which are not needed with these shoes. I have run in Asics since the early eighties after trying many other brands which had caused several injuries. I will always go with Asics and preferably the GT 2000's which have the extra arch support I need.
