I am over 300 pounds, 6'6" tall, and I have problems with my feet from injuries working in construction and I have a toe issue that needs special attention. I needed a pair of shoes that were comfortable to work out in. I have a desk job now, and work out at the gym on a regular basis now. The Asics GT-2000-5 shoe is by far the best shoe I have ever worn. Having large feet (16), with the troubles with my toes rubbing (bent toe) I went up to a 17, and they say this shoe is small for it's size anyway. Very comfortable. Very Light too. So light, so much support, it will blow your mind. I have a request in for the black one when they get the size that will look a little more dressy so I can wear it with different color slacks. I was talking to my boss the other day and noticed he was wearing the same shoe, a normal size guy who is very athletic, but he has had issues with his heel. He told me Asics were the best shoe made and it was the best shoe he has ever worn. He must love it because he is constantly wearing them. Do yourself a huge favor and get a pair. Well worth the money. You only live once.

This updated version runs more narrow and shorter than the previous edition. My father wore ASICS for many years, but had to return these because they were tight in width and length.

I love every other aspect of this shoe except that the heel fabric breaks apart within a month of average use. The fact that the heel dissolves BEFORE the white soles get dirty is telling. The fact i'm buying my 4th pair in less than 12 months (because the heel looks tacky at work) is even more telling. Great shoe for flat footed folks, minus the tacky heel design. Hopefully they'll resolve this issue before I realize how much money i'm spending and experiment with a different brand.

Another great pair of Asics. I bought a pair of the GT-2000s 2 years ago and put hundreds of miles on them walking and running. When it was time to replace them, I had no doubt I would get this year's model, and they are as great as I expected them to be. Lightweight with a firm supportive sole and breathable outsole, I love these and expect that they will last a long time. Very happy with this purchase.

Returned these shoes because they run narrow. Did not have this shoe color in a wide width so ordered a wider width in another color.

Have always worn ASICS shoes. I have the same pair and the heel is getting a hole. This has not happened before so not sure what is wrong with that pair. Hope to have better luck with this pair.

Amazing that all shoe manufactures do not use the same size matrix. These shoes were about 2 whits to narrow and should have fit perfect. Third set returned just because they were/are built wrong for the size. Sad!! I will not buy shoes anywhere except from Zappos because they understand the problem.

Best shoe for walking, standing all day. My husband is a surgeon. He stands all day. We've tried many, many brands---this is his favorite shoe ever! Offers the support, but lightweight so it doesn't make his feet tired!

Bought these shoes for my son who wears a size 17EE. There is no chance of buying this large size in a store. I have had excellent luck with ASICS from Zappos. They are true to size. He thinks they are very comfortable, and they wear well. Kudos to Zappos for easy returns, although usually not necessary with ASICS.

Just got these a few days ago and used them for awhile before running in them to begin the break in process. I've run a few miles on them so far and being a Pronated runner they work great. For a long time I've used minimalist shoes but a recent bought of Planters Faciitis have made me rethink my shoes. Normally after a run my foot was badly swollen but these are amazing. Little to no swelling and no pain afterwards either. If you're dealing with Planters Faciitis or a Neutral to Pronated runner look into these. I like them so much I'm considering another pair and model by Asics for a daily shoe! Great shoes and very happy.

This is my 5th or 6th pair of GT-2000, and these are as good or better than the prior versions. Everything fits as it should, very little break in required. The color scheme is also a bit better, at least for my taste.

Unfortunately the backing behind the heel wore out after just 4 months of use and I am going to have to buy a new pair of shoes this month. Generally, I felt right from the start these were of lesser quality than previous Asics that I have worn.

Huge disappointment. Padding in heel wore out in 6 months and I only walk in them and not everyday.

I guess I have bought my last Asics. It is too bad Asics has cut corners and no longer makes a true 4E wide running shoe. They all run narrow, including this GT -2000 5. I had to return.

The extra wide sizing accommodates my orthotics perfectly. Very comfortable and stable, even on longer runs.

I have flat feet and this is the absolutely best the fitting running shoses. I always bought your most expensive model thinking if they were going to be the best for my feet. It's not always True thanks to your chart online I was able to pick this year that was right for my foot.

I've been wearing GT-2000's since they came out. Since the 6 came out I've stock piled 5's. The 4E fit perfectly so no need to change, daily wear.

Good shoes with solid comfort. I have used two pairs in a row of the these shoes and they have been great. Went through several shoes where the side by the toe area broke open after about 6 months but these have held up.

I recently was fortunate to purchase the GT-2000 5 after trying the new GT-2000 6/ I've worn this series for many years and have loved every upgrade and model until the 6. It felt totally different(wider tow box?)and caused knee pain after the first run. I was very disappointed and will never wear the 6 again. Did Asics do something different with the 6? It's important that you fix the problem(s) as I've spoken with other runners who also have problems with it. Would it be possible to purchase another pair of 5's in size 12 M? Many thanks from a loyal Asics customer.
