I have been a Rockford fan for many years but these shoes I am very dissatisfied with. They have one problem and one problem only. The shoes are painted with a rubberized paint and the leather is not dyed. The paint flakes off and you can not cover the problem with polish. Wondering what moron came up with the idea to paint shoes. Until they go back to dying Rockports will not be something I would consider.

I very much like the shoe; they are perfect for daily use at work. That being said, BEWARE of size. I am never less than a size 10, usually a 10.5. I ordered 10.5's in these shoes and they were MASSIVE. I ended up returning several pairs until I got down to a size 9, which fits. 1.5 sizes less than what I usually wear. Great shoes, probably tough to size without having them on hand.

I got the shoes and they look great, but they run too big. I had to return then the next day.

bought for my bf and he loves it !!! I was on the hunt for a few months looking for a waterproof dress shoe that wasn't black. this shoe is so comfortable my bf even wears it when it doesn't rain. the color is really nice and fits the business environment without looking cheap/tacky. he is a usual 10.5 and the 10.5 fit perfectly

Well this is my fifth pair,I am a Engineer ,up and down on my feet a good bit, great shoe, I highly recommend for comfort and support.

Excellent overall, could use a little more arch support and heel padding.

Perfect travel shoe. Classic styling for business meetings. Very comfortable. Structure for after-hours walking; with a touch extra room for a slightly thicker sock. And waterproof for bad weather. Finally bought both colors. The brown is also great with business-casual jeans.

These were just a little too big for me, not by much, but my toes had a bit too much room, and the heel moved a bit when I walked, not enough for the shoe to completely slide off, but it still slid a bit. Also, I alternate between khakis and jeans a lot at my job, so I'm looking for a shoe that goes well with both, but these are almost far too nice for jeans. The shoe is very comfortable, I'm a heel striker and there is plenty of padding for the heel. Width felt nice, materials felt nice. Overall I loved the shoe and if I needed some dressier shoes I would have just reordered a half size down.

Unexpectedly good fit; comfortable, supple. Great walking shoe. Classic styling. Waterproof features are a valuable bonus.

Love these shoes, on my second pair. I find these nearly as comfortable as tennis shoes. While normally my work shoes I decided to wear these all day while traveling and walking 10 miles a day with no problems. Best dress shoe ever.

The brown color is much brighter in person than the photos. Not in a bad way, but if you are picky on the color, you'll have to condition it down some. Other than that, it looks and feels fantastic. I returned the shoe for a smaller size, and would rather not comment further, yet.

I bought these shoes for my husband about a year ago and he loves them! He wears them almost every day, they're super comfortable, and they've actually held up pretty well to the constant wear. They dress up a pair of jeans nicely and overall just look really classic and nice. I highly recommend!

I've never had a wide shoe that fit the first time. It might actually be the best fit in a show I've ever had. I wish it didn't have water proof branding on it, but oh well.

I bought these shoes for my husband because he was looking for something that was water resistant and comfortable but didn't look stupid. These definitely fit the bill, and they've held up remarkably well after almost-daily wear for 8 months!

Great comfortable shoe. I read some other reviews and I decided to size down. I wear a 10.5 usually but ordered a 10 and they fit great. I've only worn them a few times so I cannot comment on the durability but they are indeed waterproof and they look good.

I own 4 pairs of these, two cap toes & two wing tips in black and burgundy respectively. I have fairly large feet at size 13 and medium width but these fit perfectly and are incredibly comfortable. They're great for business travel as well especially to cold climates as they are completely water proof and have non-slip soles so if you're walking through snow or ice (or even step completely in a puddle as I once did) you'll have no issues. Moreover I shine them once a month at home so they can last for years and their comfort is second to none. In fact I think I just convinced myself to buy two more of these, one cap toe and one wingtip in brown/tan so my collection will be complete. (Black, burgundy/oxblood, brown in cap toe and wingtip for each.) These are awesome shoes, kind of like a mullet. :) (Business up front and party in the back.) For these it would be, "Dress shoe on top, sneaker below." Keep up the great work Zappos.

Front toe area is very tight.

Very comfortable shoe that also looks great. The fact that it is wterproof is an added benefit in the wet conditions of the midwesr.

This is my husband's go-to work shoe in a wet climate. It's comfortable, stays dry, and looks sharp. He typically wears a 10.5w, and that size fits him perfectly in this shoe.

I normally wear the New Balance M990v3 in 12 EE. The 11.5 W in these fit me perfectly. You don't want leather shoes to be too loose initially because they'll soften up over time. The arch support isn't great, but I'll use them because my orthotics took up too much space even with the insoles removed. Love the color and hope they'll last.
