I ordered 2 pairs of Birkenstock Arizonas with the soft footbed. The silver (birko flor) and the metallic anthracite. I am a size 8.5 normal width shoe normally so I ordered one pair in a 38 and one in a 39, both in the narrow. I am glad I ordered the narrow as they do run wide and I think the normal would have been too loose. I think I will keep the 38 (silver) as they are a little more comfortable than the 39 (anthracite). If I understand correctly, the birko flor pair I got in silver are not real leather but the metallic anthracite is. All I know is they both look like nice "leather" but the silver is softer than the metallic. I also like the silver a little more in person. The only reason I bought these is I have a bunion on my right foot (hereditary issue for females in my family) that I am very self conscious about. The strap on these hides it perfectly yet they are still comfy. I also think the silver makes them a little more feminine and trendy. Also, Zappos literally has the BEST customer service of any online retailer ever!

Fit great right when I put them on. Love the color however when spraying bug spray it left lots of spots where the droplets landed. I was sad at first but it gave it a cool design. So I’m ok with it. Overall very comfortable.

The metallic bronze is a gorgeous color, but the straps on these sandals are stiff and unyielding. Very bothersome to the top of my toes and instep so I am returning them.

Love the unusual color. I was disappointed to see how easily it scratched, even with only a two hour wearing. If I had it to do again I may have gone for a less shiny finish.

Love these! Comfortable right out of the box and they fit exactly like my other Birks. I was hesitant to buy these after reading some reviews complaining about how easily the metallic finish scratches. I've worn them a handful of times and haven't experienced this. The finish still look great and they're so fun and fashionable! The Metallic Anthracite is surprisingly neutral and pairs well with a lot of colors. I'm typically a 6.5 but have to size down to 5.5 (36) in Birkenstocks. If you like the metallic look, I'd say go for it. Even if they scuff a bit over time I imagine that they'll just have a fun/funky worn in look.

This is my second pair of Birkenstocks. I wore my last pair for many years and LOVED them. I wear a true 7 and have size 37. The 38s were way too big - they were flopping off my feet and had too much room in the back. The 37s fit perfectly. You WILL have to break in the straps, but once you do, you and your feet will be so happy. One way to break them in is to wear them with socks first. I'm super happy with the color - they are modern looking, I'll be able to wear them both dressed up and down, and color-wise they will go with most outfits.

This is such a cool color. Dark black but with a metallic sheen. Definitely a "different" look that just plain black. I love these!

These Birkenstocks are beautiful and comfortable. I loved them right out of the box, but was quickly disappointed after only the first wear. The leather scuffs and scratches super easily, and there’s no way to buff them out. Sadly, I don’t recommend this, or any of the metallic style, Birkenstocks.

Very cute and the color goes with everything, but they are REALLY stiff compared to my other Birks and I realized just how much they rubbed my feet raw when I wore them outside, so I couldn't return them. After two days of flexing the leather by hand and softening the edges with some super fine sandpaper,I can now wear them without getting blisters but now they are squeaking when I walk because the sides are still stiff. I wont say not to buy them because they will eventually break in and they will last for years, just don't expect them to be comfortable right out of the box.

The metallic leather shows wearand scratches faster than expected in the grey vs the pink.

Love these shoes. The soft footbed feels great. Based on other reviews I was expecting to need time to break these in, but I found that I had no trouble at all. I just made sure to wear them one day and then wait a day before I wore them again and my big toe felt a little sore the day after where the strap hits, but I had no blisters and no pain while wearing them. Love the metallic color as it goes with everything.

Runs large. Needed size 9M so ordered a 40 per suggestion. Should have ordered the 39.

So, I own WAY TOO MANY Birkenstocks, AND I knew that the metallic leathers have the problem of scratching easily. But I like shiny things and wanted to TRY [and see if I got a good pair] the Metallic anthracite. Fit wonderful BUT they came out of the box with several spots already having the color rubbed off [see photos]. I will be returning. Over the last several years, Birkenstocks quality control is hit and miss, thus I pretty much only order from free return sites, or use paypal, so if I need to return them, I can apply for reimbursement. TOO BAD Birkenstock is so successful, I think the increased production has also increased the flaws [I now expect them, whether it is glue where it souldn't be or some other flaw not acceptable for any shoe over $50, much less over $100!]. Wearer of birkenstocks for 30 years.

I was so excited to get these but I have to say I'm pretty disappointed in them. The leather straps dig into my feet and they also get scratched up when buckling them. I would return them but unfortunately have already worn them. I'm hoping that my feet eventually get used to the straps.

I mainly chose these sandals because of the dark metallic color. I really love the color and they are super comfortable!

Birkenstocks have been a part of my wardrobe, both professionally and recreationally for many years. They offer wonderful arch support and help with leg fatigue. I normally wear an 8 narrow and ordered size 39 narrow. The fit was comfortable from the start , especially the soft sole. The color is very interesting and makes the tried and true birkenstock look softer and much dressier. I am hoping that the soft metallic look remains as it is and does not become scuffed, as those with other metallics have mentioned. It would make this lovely sandal look tired and worn. For now I will just enjoy it !

The straps were stiff and hard at first but softened up quickly after a couple of wears.

Standard Birkenstock break-in process. Grateful for the narrow width... my standard width ones (in the same size) had some wiggle room buckled on the tightest setting. I have a couple notches left in both buckles on these.

Love these, was a little nervous cause of some of the reviews saying the straps where stiff, but they where just like any other pair of Birkenstocks I have had to break in. Very happy with them, and the color is great, it is different, but goes with a lot

So cute…in Birkenstock adjusted terms. The Copper appears to be sold out nearly everywhere, but I think I will end up loving Anthracite even more!

I'm a huge fan of Birkenstock sandals, and these do not disappoint!

I love the neutrality of this color and feel like it "dresses up" a typical Birkenstock sandal. I have been wearing them inside only to break them in as there are a couple places on the side of my foot where they rub. I wanted to be sure they were a good fit (for the money) before I wore them outside. It's been over a week and with each passing day they feel better on my feet.

I've been searching for the right Birkenstock sandal and thought that I'd give this one a try. I ordered a 39 narrow and it was a good fit for my 8 1/2 med. width foot but the leather straps are super stiff and uncomfortable. I decided to return them and try another style.

I like the style. I am usually an 8 got the 39 and was too big. Returning and hopping smaller size fits
