Ive been loyal to The North Face for years! I bought this for my 16 yr old son for Christmas. He loves it. My son is 6' 200# athletic build (quarterback) and the Large was perfect. I have a T shirt kid (hates long sleeves and wears t-shirts all year round) this coat is amazing because it keeps him warm in just a T.

When the jacket arrived I was a little surprised because it didn't match up to what I had seen online. I would recommend you let it air out and puff up for a bit if it is being shipped to you. Since owning the jacket I've worn it almost every day. It's extremely durable but most importantly comfortable. I live in Seattle and it's perfect for the weather here but I was back home in Los Angeles for the holidays and was perfect there as well! I am thinking of buying different styles now because the quality is top not. I haven't noticed a single thing wrong.

I was in the market for a replacement down jacket, as my old one (not a North Face) has a few years on it and the zipper was getting a bit finicky. This one does the job - it seems to fit true to size (I'm 5'10', 220) with the XL size (which is what I wear in most outer-garments), not real loose with nothing bulky under it, but room to accommodate a single layer over street clothes (like a sweater) and still have a reasonable amount of free motion. It seems to be warm and fairly well made (so far, only a few of the tiny down feathers have peeked out of the seams), and the price certainly was right (given that it was bought at the end of the season). If it gives me 3+ years of fairly good service (with relatively constant winter wear), and the zipper stays in shape, I'll be a very happy camper.

When I was searching for a jacket, I looked at all kinds of different brands, sizes, and styles, I needed something warmer than normal as I live Michigan and it gets quite cold. Let me say I did not think this was going to be as warm as I needed because it's so thin, but man was I surprised, this coat is extremely warm and I couldn't be happier.

Great for Bay Area weather

A lot warmer than you think, fantastic price point and quality, I'd say it's on point with my Tri-climate but that's an unfair comparison. For what it's worth, this is a grand slam.

I really like this jacket. It is a little more "boxey" than I prefer but was to my advantage when I layered up underneath it. I've hiked extensively in the 20's in this jacket and stayed warm. I appreciated the large inner pockets for stuffing gloves or gaiters in when I got a little warm. I would recommend a light shell if you find yourself in snowy or cold windy conditions. The jacket itself does not repel water/snow will quickly "wet out" and I felt the wind got through it a little. But in stable cold weather conditions, I was nice and toasty in this jacket!

Its very cold Winter here in Kazakhstan, so my choice was between comfort, style, and warmth. Thanks to North Face for providing their products.

I wear this jacket in a region where the weather and temperatures swing wildly from one minute to the next, it's always perfect for what the day has in store. It also compliments my casual style of dress. I'm tempted to buy an additional jacket in an alternate color due to how much I like this one.

This was a gift from my Mother. I picked it out. I really like North Face anyway so I picked this jacket. It's perfect. Just the right length. Really keeps me warm and dry in bad weather. Glad I have it! Love North Face

Nice, lightweight jacket that is extremely comfortable and looks good.

Just got my second one and it's very cool! Lightweight and warm in Minnesota ! Of course if it's very cold I wear a fleece hoodie underneath and I'm good to go. I have a heavier parka for extreme cold but this one does the job 95% of the time here in the ice box!
