I ordered these 1 full size larger, because i planned on using them in cold weather with heavy socks. Im so glad i did! I trekked all over London and Paris. Walking an average of 5-8 miles a day. No break in time needed. No blisters or sore feet. I absolutely recommend these boots. Pricey but worth it!

This boot is the best! I purchased them with three days to go before a trip to Montréal and Québec. Lots of walking tours and rainy forecast. Had no time to break them in, but hoped for the best. Have worn them for two days now and walked many miles and no blisters. I normally wear an 8 or 8.5 but in Merrell boots I wear a 9. I use a nice weight, but not heavy, sock and they are perfect. They are completely water proof, comfortable and, I think, stylish. Look great with jeans tucked in, but can look dressed up with a skirt. I am so glad I purchased these even though they were a bit pricey, but like my other Merrell boots, with regular care, they should last for 10 or more years, so I will get my money's worth. Now I wish Zappos carried them in black.

Totally agree with one of the reviews of the Travvy Tall boot - the rubber traction isn't anything special on this boot. Like sneakers. BUT - great for warmth and truly waterproof. I wear a size 10/41/medium width, with flat arches and this is an all-day office/shopping after work, flattering to a larger size support boot. Very pleased with this. No breaking in period. It hold my ankles in nicely without pronating. Almost didn't buy these because of the two tone leather wrap design element - it cuts what is a great subtle structured design flow to this boot. They are too short & the leather too muted (and not Italian in sleekness) to pull that off. I was going to cut the leather "belts" off, but then realized you can unsnap lighter brown leather band, and double back it on itself- go back around your heel. Snaps easily w/ the two darker gold/brass snaps looking sharp. Right over the Merrell logo (ha). This totally changes the look of the boot for the better. *The tall Travvy boot can't do the rewrap/snap/or cut off options is & you are stuck with the rivet snap punch look either way. BOOOO, may return those. Other than that, pick up this boot on seasonal clearance - well worth the try for foot comfort.

I just got these boots in the tan color (elsewhere, sorry! If Zappos carried them I would have bought them here!) I absolutely love them; comfortable straight out of the box and cute as can be! Not just for rain either; they're fashionable enough to wear as just cute boots. I adore the arch support in them and the fact that there is enough toe room while the fit is snug so I don't feel like my foot will be slipping around inside them (which can lead to a twisted ankle for me.) I highly recommend these boots!

Gave these to my 2-year-old daughter for Christmas, and she wears them almost every day. Comfortable and waterproof and warm, covering all requirements for a DC winter.

I have barely taken these boots off since they arrived. They are SO cute and ridiculously comfortable. I need arch support so much so that I wear orthodics in my running sneakers even...but these boots are so comfortable my feet haven't ached once. I also have very cold feet and these boots are as warm as my Uggs! I highly recommend these wonderful boots. Oh and the contrast on the "tan" boots is not as dramatic as the pictures make it look (in a good way).

Love these. Pants can be worn tucked in, or leggings, looks great with a skirt and comfortable fit. 9.5 is my normal fit, with enough room to wear a heavier sock

This boot is comfortable, casual, and ready to go right out of the box. My feet were warm all day and looked great with my leggings.

Super comfortable boots, good from day one. Good width for my bunions. The removable insole allows for replacement with a Smartfeet insole for a more firm feel, though you may like them just as they are. They are indeed waterproof, and the very thin insulation does the job. With thin socks my feet are warm but not overheated. Look good with pants out, skinny pants in, or with a skirt and leggings.

very nice looking, but a little stiff

Cute boot, and comfortable but was concerned that these boots wouldn't be warm enough for a Minnesota winter so am returning. Ordered a 1/2 size up to allow for thick socks but with the wide toe box these seemed plenty wide and would not order a 1/2 size larger.

Leather is stiff, not flexible - heel rubs and these are a bit heavier and clunkier than I expected. They do have good arch support and look nice

This shoes was a disappointment. There are quite a few more boots out there that are much more comfortable. This shoe is just not that comfortable and may need time to break in to be what all the other reviews say it is? I have tried other boots that are much more comfortable straight out of the box and are water resistant!
