I was looking for a coat with a hood and longer than my last North Face and this one fits the bill!!! I AM LOVING THIS COAT!!! I live in Michigan and I work in the downtown area off of the water and this jacket does not disappoint! I have been so warm in this jacket during my walk to and from the parking garage! This is my best buy this year and I would buy it again!!!

This is by far my favorite jacket I have ever purchased. The fit is perfect, it's not too long and not too short. It's got just a tiny bit of give, so you can move freely. The zippers are smooth and the zipper from the bottom is an excellent feature. Thought I wouldn't use it, but on cold days I jump in the car and can open the bottom just a bit to make driving just that much more comfortable. First day I wore it in pretty heavy rain, the water just wicked off. Super warm when I get outside but also feels comfortable for the commute. I can't recommend this jacket enough.

I love this coat. I have long arms and TNF coats seem to fit me length-wise. I ordered a medium in this based on reviews but exchanged it for a small. It is a "standard" fit and not too snug. I have wide hips in proportion to a smaller waist and I liked how this jacket flares out a little. I also like the added length in the rear. It is very warm and I got many compliments. The grey is a nice color and it was not shiny. The inside pocket is big enough maybe for ski tags but not a phone, which is my only complaint. The hood is removable which I appreciated but I used it the first day I wore. I am a 32C and a small on top and a medium size 8 in bottoms and the small fit me well without being too tight. I am a photographer so I use my arms a lot and am constantly moving up and down in the coat and it is not constricting at all. I have another North Face jacket that is more form-fitting in a size medium.

This was just what I was looking for. It kept me super warm in 40 degree weather. Im sure it would be fine in colder weather too. The length is perfect and not too puffy. I ordered my regular size (L) and it fit great.

I only wear North Face and this is one of the best jackets I've purchased. Fantastic quality, very warm and flattering! Thank you North Face!

I wear this jacket throughout the winter months in California. It keeps me very comfortably, warm. I love how the fit doesn't make it huge around the waist. It actually has a flattering fit. I also love that it's a bit longer so when I sit on a cold bench, the coat covers that area and I sit on my warm coat instead. We like this so much that my daughter wanted and we got her the same jacket.

Lightweight, attractive, and very warm. I love the slightly longer length.

The fit is a perfect 2X and roomy enough for a sweater and turtleneck underneath but warm enough without layers underneath even in weather below freezing. The Purple Galaxy color is beautiful and the coat is lightweight and has a double zipper and well placed pockets. I could not be happier with this winter jacket!!!

This is a great jacket. I love the cut (slightly nipped in at the waist so it doesn't look completely marshmallowy). It keeps me warm in Minnesota winter, but it's light enough that it isn't uncomfortable to wear on the bus or briefly inside. Very, very happy with this purchase.

I live on a cold climate and this is a coat I wear everyday.

I love this coat! I live in Boston, where it is very windy and cold in the winter. I walk to and from work, 1 mile each way every day and this coat has kept me warm on the chilliest and windiest of days. It stops the wind and I don't have to wear a lot of layers underneath to keep me warm. It is very lightweight and not at all bulky looking. It is also waterproof-- I wouldn't wear it in a rain storm, but it has held up so well in wet snow or light rain. I was originally worried about the shorter length, as my old coat was knee-length and this one goes to my upper-mid thigh (I'm 5'7). However, I actually prefer the shorter length, feel like I haven't sacrificed any warmth with the shorter length, and it feels like less of a "winter coat" so I can start wearing it a bit earlier in the season.

I bought this jacket for my wife for xmas. She loves it. It is much more form fitting than it appears in the pictures online.

I bought this jacket rather than newer Northface styles because it is all down rather than down+synthetic and thus lighter, warmer and more comfortable. I was sorry I had to return it because of too slender fit.

use them everyday in the winter

I needed a jacket for my trip to Europe. I knew some of the places would be extremely cold or snowing so I decided to invest in a good jacket. Let's just say that it was one of the best decisions I made. As soon as I tried it on in my house I started sweating. I don't need to put on extra layers with this jacket. Warm and soft to the touch.

I like the style, warm and comfort without being bulky or heavy

Love this jacket! Fits true to size, isn't too bulky or heavy, comes in at the waist for a flattering fit, and best of all keeps me warm. I originally ordered the deep purple one but I didn't like the color of the lining (it was a pale fleshy pinkish color). I exchanged it for the black one and I am very happy. I would have preferred the purple one if the lining was the same color as the exterior.

Wear it daily during the winter in Minnesota. Love the feel and comfort of the jacket.

I bought this for snowy weather and it is the warmest coat I have ever had. It's not bulky and easy to move around in. I love it!
