FYI, instead of a button and zipper this pair of jeans has five buttons for a fly.

I don't understand this "vanity sizing" thing other people are talking about. I went down 2 sizes and I can't even get these things halfway up my legs.

Some grey jeans have a formal look, and can almost pass for dress pants, but not these. The bright white weft showing through the grey warp, combined with the red leather patch, creates a very casual look. Be aware that the leather patch contains an image of a topless woman. You can wear your belt over or under the patch. I don't think the Zappos measurements for these jeans are correct. Go to the Naked and Famous web site, click "Fits" on the top, click the Weird Guy icon on the left, then click "Details" on the right. This will give you the size chart, which shows that the waist measurement is 2" larger than the tag size up to size 34, then 1.5" larger for 36 and 38. I am normally size 30 in pants, and I ordered these jeans in both 28 and 29. Both pairs measurements matched the N&F size chart. Size 28 fit me the best. Like most raw denim, these jeans will stretch a bit in the waist and hips. My size 28 jeans waist stretched from 30" to 32" with just a few days wear. The best way to determine your size for these jeans (and other raw denim) is to measure your best fitting pair of jeans (not your body), and compare with the manufacturer's size charts. Check the thigh and knee measurements to make sure you have enough room for your thighs and calves. If you like your jeans to fit tight, then go down one or two sizes to allow for the stretch that will occur when your jeans break in. The jeans should initially be difficult, but not impossible, to button up. After a few days wear, they will stretch out in the waist and hips to fit you perfectly. If you prefer a more relaxed fit, then go with your measured jeans size. If you are looking for casual, grey jeans, then you should definitely consider these. I love mine!
