I ordered these in the silver ink/limeaid and mirage/twilight purple. The purple is more of a light periwinkle. The silver color was a little bit too "camo" looking in person for me (I actually liked it better online) so I returned that pair. I ordered my normal shoe size of 8.5 as opposed to my sneaker size 9. With thinner they fit comfortably, but the 9 may also fit. Overall the shoe is very comfortable and seems like a solid walking shoe when wearing running sneakers isn't an option. I have had bad ankle and knee injuries that leave me with the need for a more cushioned shoe. I must have tried 6 different pairs of New Balances, Toms, Reefs, and Asics all of the similar lifestyle sneaker style. Overall, I found that this one offered the best compromise between not being bulky while having enough stability, padding, and support to be comfortable for an all day adventure. On my first outing in them I walked approximately 2 miles carrying a 15 lb load (read cat) and I did not experience any discomfort. Overall, I would say they have decent arch support - certainly not as good as a real running sneaker, but better than many of the comparable shoes I tried. Also, they did not make my feet look large - if anything the shape makes them look more petite than other shoes, which in my book is a plus.

I purchased the Seafoam/Summer Green and not only are they cutest sneakers ever, they're the most comfortable. My foot feels like it's surrounded by a cloud of cushion and love. I purchased these to wear during nursing school and I feel as if they will hold up very well. I'll absolutely be purchasing another pair of these to have another option to wear with my scrubs.

Love this shoe. Very comfortable and supportive. The pattern and colors make it fun and different. Would love to order in other colors. Fits true to size.

I love this shoe. My feet are long (size 11 to 13 and narrow and medium, both dependent on the shoe). Hard to fit! While other women are bemoaning their shoe fetish, I am bemoaning finding any good shoe at all. When I saw these New Balance Classics on Zappos, it was love at first sight. They were a perky, current style reserved enough for a mature woman (!) and included "fit features" such as a deep toe box and rounded toe. They had it all, a bonanza for me. But there was the challenge of size... 11, 12, or 13? Actually, this wasn't much of a challenge. With Zappos shipping policy, I could try on all three sizes at no cost! A 12 turned out to be my perfect length, but the width was a different story. Even the medium width available was just a touch too snug, and I had long ago learned not to purchase any shoe that wasn't a genuine fit. But I wanted these shoes so badly! They are stylish and make my feet look smaller. (A first!) So, desperate, I tried on some summer-weight socks with my new shoe delights. (I'd been wearing winter-weight socks, cushy ones.) Surprisingly, the summer weights made a tremendous difference... just the little bit of extra room necessary. I do love hearing, "Suse, I love your shoes! They are so cute! Where did you get them?" But even better is I can go all day without needing to give my feet a break.

I love these shoes! The colors are nice and bright and they feel like you're walking on sunshine. I wore them to a gym event and got non stop compliments.

Great lightweight, but supportive shoe. I put some Walgreen's orthotics in mine per my physical therapist's suggestion. Really feels great and looks nice, too.

These are very comfortable and cute shoes. I would not recommend them for running, though. I used them as comfortable walking, kick-around shoes in New York City.

Ordered these because I have an old pair in blue. These shoes fit ok, a bit stiff, they are not the suede that I already have and like. I also did not like the champagne color. They are a cool retro shoe, but they are stiffer than I expected. I returned them.

Love the style and support however a little too stiff/very little bend and slips in the heel. Hoping they loosen up to bend more when I walk. I have the New Balance 880 and they are amazing for support, cushion and comfort.

Super cute and comfortable. Something you can not tell from the photo is that shoes "color" overcast has the slightest bit of sparkles in it. Might not be some peoples cup of tea. I was not expecting it, but still liked the shoe.

Nice looking shoe and great support with solid feel but a little heavy, stiff and rubbed my bunion.

These are ok. Im sending them back because i didnt know the tweed was sparkley. I ordered the black and there are shiny threads woven in that i did not expect. Other than that new balance are cool and comfy. These just were not my thing.

These run really small. Order a whole size bigger than you wear. Had to order 3 different times to get it right!! Very satisfied now that I got the size right.

Everything was fine about the shoe, except the Right side. I could feel a raised seam that went across horizontally (I pulled up the insole to see what was causing the bump). The same seam was on the Left side but, could not feel it. It was flat, unlike the right side. Returning due to construction.

I bought these because the black 501s were sold out in my size. This shoe is definitely smaller than my 501s. After one day of wearing the shoes, my toes ached and felt smooshed, and my feet breathed a sigh of relief when I finally took them off. I would size up at least a half size.

I bought the black/black color and I love the look of these. The silver accents are fun and not too flashy. I also like that these are nubuck instead of suede because I hate how black suede turns greenish as it wears. Unfortunately the printed lining is slippery and my heels slides up in these. I don't have that problem in other 574s in the same size. So even though I really like these, I have to return them.

Unlike most other New Balance these take a little time to break in. Size up a half size as they seem to run short.

A little less comfortable than other 574s I've worn - maybe it's the leather as opposed to canvas - but they feel a little tight width-wise.
