Very disappointed in the color, and the new shape of the footprint. This is not even close to NAVY blue. It is more of a royal blue, very bright, not dark like a navy. Doesn't match any of my navy wardrobe. I've worn this brand and model for years, and always loved the fit. Something has changed, and now they are long and narrow.

This is my third pair of original Soludos, and they remain my favorite espadrille. I think they have the most authentic look of the espadrilles that you can find easily in the US and are reasonably priced. Like most espadrilles, they have no arch support, run a little narrow, and the fabric is tight when you first put them on. The fabric stretches over time, though, and I love the way they look and feel. I find them very comfortable for walking around town, taking the dog on a quick walk, etc. If you have a wide or thick foot, I think you definitely would want to size up at least a half size.

Love these shoes! Definitely size up a little because they do run a little small, but they do also loosen up a bit as they stretch and form to your foot with wear. Very cute for summer and can be dressed up or down to match any outfit.

I was looking for a basic espadrille for the summer that wasn't ridiculously priced and these fit the bill. At $40, if they only last one season, I won't be all that upset. I typically wear an 8.5 or 9 and Zappos suggested I order a 9.5. They're a little loose and maybe the 9 would be better once broken in but I have no desire to rub my toes and/or heels raw in the process. I have very high arches and typically wear an orthotic in my boots and sneakers but placing them in these shoes wasn't an option since they lift my foot just enough that I can't keep the shoes on my feet. As an alternative, I inserted a pair of Dr. Foot silicone arch supports (the beige color works especially well -- see photo) and they work very well -- I won't be doing a lot of walking in these and certainly not pounding city sidewalks -- but they provide enough support that I can wear them for other activities that don't involve walking distances or standing for extended periods of time. So, they will be a part of my summer uniform: a straw hat with black band, a black and white striped top, white pants and these espadrilles in black. That's about as "chic" as I'm capable of. (I wish they were also available in red...)

I’m normally a 7.5, but I bought an 8 in these. They’re a little big but they feel like they’d be a tough shoe to break in and an 8 is big enough that I don’t need to go through that. There is no support in these, both in the sole or the canvas, but they’re exactly what I wanted for a hang around slip on shoe that still looks presentable. I can see these becoming my go to throughout the summer.

They look great! They feel great...after you break them in. They do stretch, so they purposely run small. You really have to jam your foot in there the first few times (one tactic: jam your toes in there and fold the back down under your heel) until the canvas stretches. Then you're gold.

I love my new Solids. The color is perfect for summer and they feel comfortable right away. Following the other reviews I ordered 10, and my regular size is 11, and that fits perfectly.

Initial impression is the quality appears to be the same as espadrilles I purchased in Spain. However these are made in China so only time will tell. I'll report back after extended wearing.

Really cute style. They look like the French espadrilles I owned years ago. They were a tight fit at first, but did stretch, and now are very comfortable. I think they are true to size. People may be concerned, when they first try them on, and they are a bit tight,

Just right! They are a little narrow and a little snug, as I expected, but already starting to stretch and flex after wearing around the house for a day. I always like to have a pair of espadrilles for summer. This is my first pair of Soludos and they are comfortable and look great.

Classic and beautiful espadrille. Read the mixed reviews about size, so ordered my usual size and one size up. My usual size was perfect. I went to the Azores in April, and this was the only shoe I took with me. Walked a LOT everyday on pavement and cobblestones; super comfortable! Love these shoes and am planning to buy in another color.

A bit stiff out of the box but after a few hours they feel nice. Read mixed reviews on sizing but for me they are true to size. I see these being my go to summer shoe. I will update review after a few months on how they hold up.

I was worried about what size to order after reading the reviews. I ended up going with a 6 which is my usual size and am happy that I did so. They were tight but after wearing them for a day around the house they have stretched a little and are very comfortable. Very pleased with them and love the color.

They're very stylish for espadrilles. The stitching is classy. I also tried The Sak brand and felt The Sak line's more rounded toe was more casual. I have a very narrow foot and was able to wear the Soludos with a foam pad and toe protectors to fill out the shoe. Still, there's a finger's width of room on the top (that I choose to ignore . . . I haven't been able to find a stylish narrow espadrille. ). I exchanged the first pair I ordered for an identical pair because there was too much discrepancy between the left and right shoes. (I've never had problems with different sized feet.). The second pair was better. The Sak Line runs wider, so no chance of keeping those.

Every summer I order new espadrilles. I nearly sent them back when I tried them on because they felt exactly how the other reviewer said- the bed of the shoe is super hard at first. They also felt tight, but the size up was too big. But then I remembered that espadrilles stretch so I kept them and boy am I glad I did! Within an hour of wearing them, they stretched and the bed of the shoe didn't feel hard at all. I think Soludos went with a thicker rope for the bed of the shoe. That makes it seem hard at first. But I now appreciate the thicker more dense bed as it makes the shoe feel more substantial. I don't like thin espadrilles where I can walk on a pebble and feel it through the shoe. They also may feel a bit narrow at first, but they stretch!

I've never worn Soludos, but i usually wear 5 to 5.5 so I ordered these in a 5.5 with the other reviewers advising to size up. The shoes are cute and are comfortable. My big toe comes right up to where the jute comes up to the toe, so I think that may cause discomfort in the long run. I did order a 6 to see if would fit better, but it was too big. I'm wearing them around the house with hopes they do stretch a bit like other say, so I don't have to send them back I like them I want to keep them! I wish they had a color in natural.

I ordered the same size I have now, that I ordered 2 years ago but these were a half size smaller. Re-ordered a size 8 and they fit like the 7.5's when they were new.

i love the look of these shoes, the are so cute. i ordered a half size up because some reviews mentioned these are snug. the width was ok but the length of these shoes were too tight. i also have high arches and forefoot, so it was difficult to get these shoes on. they seem like they would be able to be broken in, but if you have a high arch or forefoot i would not recommend these shoes, as they were not comfortable. i had to return them.

The fit was snug until I wore them a couple of times. They’re very versatile. Unfortunately, however, one part of the outer sewing began to unravel after maybe the 5th time I’d worn them. Once that begins the entire shoe unravels and the upper detached completely from the platform. I just wish I’d gotten my money’s worth of wear from them.

These were extraordinarily narrow and seemed like they run more than a full size small. I ordered up and still could not get them on my feet. These are labeled as navy, but they are more of a medium blue and will not look right with a navy outfit. Plus I am not loving an espadrille made in China. Returning was an easy decision.

I ordered the same shoes that I ordered 2 years ago in my true size - 7.5 but this time they were too small. The 8's I ordered in exchange are identical in size to my old pair of 7.5's! This is a narrow-fitting shoe, perfect for me. So glad to get a new pair, they are a great summer shoe - perfect for walking on sandy ground without getting sand inside the shoe. There is no arch support, typical for this style. I love the jute against my foot, it's comfortable and keeps my feet cool.

This is my second pair of Soludos Dali sandals. For me size 38 (size 7-7 1/2) fits perfect. A bit tight at first but the canvas stretches with time and the sandal literally molds to one foot. If I had purchased a size larger the sandals would become too big and sloppy. Price is moderate and I would be completely happy if Soludos came out with light gray color.
