Nice and very light and cool, but my brim was a bit more floppy than I wanted perhaps due to the thinner material ( which made it light weight) The material was thinner than I expected compared to other hats I've had. I wore it recently on Canada fishing trip and found myself fussing with the brim, it sort of drooped where it wanted, had a mind of its own. I think the brim could be a bit heftier and that would help with the drooping. I needed the wider brim to keep the sun off my lovely face and needed chin strap due to wind in the boat, and durable enough to take getting rained on, stepped on & generally abused, so this was very functional. Would have preferred a snap option on sides and back to snap up the brim when I needed to pull on my hood over it, but at this price point, apparently that's a no-go. I had to take it off when I pulled my hood up, which was often. I may try to add snaps myself. It got the job done and I expect it will last a long time if I don't lose it. Kudos again to Zappos for zapping it to me in 2 days!

The women's size sm/med is pretty small. I don't have a big head or lots of hair and it is snug.

I am returning the hat as I found the sm/med too large. The band running along the inside of the hat was irritating and, I felt, cheaply done.

I bought the women’s hat in the light grey color. The fit is fantastic- the brim is just wide enough to block the sun but not my view. It is lightweight, I cannot really feel it on my head. It is practical yet stylish and cute. I love it and recommend it highly!

I have some difficulty finding a woman’s “fishing style“ hat because many come in only one size. The L/XL fits me very comfortably (my head circumference was on the edge between the two sizes offered). I can wear a head band or ponytail with this hat without it squeezing my head too tightly. As a bonus, it will easily pack flat, and it’s super cute. I love the particular shade of green, too.

The small/med size fit well. Head measures 23" and I have short hair. Stays on in light breeze. The color was nice neutral shade, but would love pink!!! Also back of hat shades my neck during golf and gardening. Most importantly, the SPF is cooler fabric that I require. Thanks North Face!

Great lightweight hat that's perfect for keeping the sun off your face while walking or gardening, running errands etc Does blow off if there's a strong gust, but that's the tradeoff for being lightweight I guess. Not a big deal since it does have the drawcord, and I didn't want a heavy hat that will smoosh my hair flat. I really love the style. I ordered the "galaxy purple", love it.

This is the second hat of this model that I own, the first purchased at a outdoor store. I loved it so much I wanted one for another location, but the current colors this season were not for me. So happy to find a grey one at Zappos, I am going to order a second one, just as a backup. SM/MED fits my head perfectly, but I do believe I take a smaller sized hat. The brim is wide enough to block the sun, which is my primary objective, but flattering in the way it drapes. I do use the neck cord on occasion on a windy day. The hat itself is not heavy and tight, and has ventilation, so feels light and comfortable. A good hat to protect from the sun, and I have had several complements on it's appearance.

Zappos is great! Love this hat, but it runs extremely small. I have a very small head; 22 inches in circumference. This hat is way to small. I have never had a hat run to small for my head, and there is no give on this one. So I will return it via Zappos great exchange service. I live in the middle of no where Montana and still received it over night! Just amazing.

Love this hat! The color (red) is so beautiful and rare! Its very light weight and easy to take on the go! I'm thinking of ordering another color.

Great hat for outdoors. Love the color and how lightweight it is.

My husband has the men's version, I have this one. We wear them on walks, it keeps our face shady and covered. Protects us from the sun, perfect for walks, hikes, gardening, horse rides. The vents on the hat allow for airflow to keep you from getting all sweaty. Husband is bald, so it is perfect for him. He wears it every time he goes outside.

The draw string keeps the hat on my head in the wind. The brim provides great sun coverage of my face, ears and neck. The hat is light weight and folds up into my purse for easy transport. I like the look of the hat too. Best sun hat I have owned.

Terrific hat! So lightweight and comfortable wearing. I live in the Southern Utah desert and it has provided good coverage while hiking or just casual outings. Highly recommend!

This is the best hat I every purchases for traveling. It can be worn morning, noon and night. No need for a second hat.

Fit fabulous. I have a large head, and most large hats are too small, and give me a headache. So bought the XL, and found it very, very comfortable. Color good for safari, doesn't alarm animals or attract insects. I do like the width of the brim- other than those long necked hats, hard to get good neck protection with the usual hat. Was a lot thinner and floppier than I expected. And after putting in checked luggage for return (had in hand carry on way), crushed brim, and not at all sure I can restore it.

Great hat to keep sun off your face. Lightweight so won't make your head sweaty and chin strap keeps it on in the wind. The brim does flop a bit in strong winds but I don't mind it. I also like that it comes in sizes. My head is small so the one size fits all doesn't t work for me and this one fits great.

Took this hat with me to the Bahamas and it was great for blocking the hot sun. When it got wet it dried quickly. Was a tight fit because I have think hair but other than that it's a good hat.

I returned this hat the first time I ordered it because it was folded by the person who packaged it into four sections and the brim was bent. The 2nd one was folded slightly but I was able to steam the brim. I love the hat and the color. The one complaint I have is that it blows off my head with the slightest of breeze. I guess that is because it is so lightweight, but still frustrating.

I felt it was a little tight on my head. I liked the coloring and the style in the picture on the site, but when received, the brim on the hat is huge. I thought it looked ridiculous. Returned.
