I'm a female with a wide width foot. I take a women's size 9.5 mostly (sometimes a 9 or 10) and my feet are about C (almost D) width. This sandal in men's size 8 fits my feet perfectly! They are very comfortable, not too heavy. I've had every sole that Chaco has ever made (or whatever there has been offered over the last 10-15 years) and this sole; "Chacogrip", is one of their lightest (right there with the Colorado sole, weightwise). Love these sandals! I almost always have to do SOME sort of modification to the shoes/sandals that I purchase, regardless of brand, style or size, due to my difficult-to-fit feet, and I do not have to with these, amazingly enough! Even the straps fit my feet exactly. Highly recommend these sandals for comfort, durability, traction and water.

I've been looking at getting another pair of hiking sandals, but the last pair I bought (Z2s) strangled by big toe to the point where it's lucky it survived the ordeal. I eventually gave those sandals away and then wasn't eager to buy another expensive pair unless I knew they would work really well. But, now I'm going to Spain to hike a section of the Camino de Santiago and so need some hiking sandals for my women's WW feet. So, I took the plunge on these ones and, despite not being worn much longer than a dog walk, I already know they will work just fine. The cloud sole is so much nicer to break in than the older style soles and the wider bands on these are fantastic. I'm not going to win any style awards for them, but that's not what they are meant to be used for anyway. Highly recommend.

I'm 17 and I backpack. I can hike 5 - 7 miles in these and they give great support! You can wear them to cross a stream. I recommend the brown foot bed because the black absorbs heat. They are practical, comfortable, and a pair lasts for a very long time, so don't even blink at the price. My dad wears these. My granddad wears these. It's a great product!

At first they felt a little heavy. But with the straps tightened they had a very natural fit. I wore them in a waterfall, I wore them through a drive-through volcano on St. Lucia, and across the rocks of a beach. In every case my feet were protected and I was comfortable.

I am a man with a very narrow long foot. In boots I wear size 13, ordered a 12 because they were a sandal and they fit perfect. Could’ve been a little bit more narrower Because the strap is awfully long after tighten. Eventually after the wear and tear ill make it shorter. First time wearing them went on a 6 mile hike, Felt comfortable the whole time, got them very muddy. To Break them in. So now they’re black with red dirt stains.

True to size, fit. I have issues with planter's and this shoe has helped significantly with my foot problems. Really liked the color/pattern of the shoe as well

Bought these for the husband. He's not a fan of sandals at all but tried on the sons and said they were comfortable. So I got him his own and now he won't take them off. He absolutely loves the cushion and the arch support. Said he wishes he'd had them on our recent trip to Croatia when we walked 5-6 miles every day.

Seriously, order a size down. I’m normally an 11.5, so I thought an 11 would be fine. I exchanged and got a 10 and they fit well. Reading reviews, I found they are better in wet conditions than other sandals, which is why I got them. But they are not nearly as comfortable as Tevas and Birkenstock’s. I’m very happy with them, but they do serve a specific purpose.

Painful. The strap dug into the inside of my foot below the ankle. I returned them.

Finally, a Chaco that has some cushion! I need sandals that can go from short trail walks to kayaking and the beach and although I have plenty of comfy sandals - a water sandal is a must. I’ve had Chacos in the past, and never felt they lived up to their reputation - until now. I absolutely love the Z Cloud. I wear a women’s 9.5 and have a wider foot and the men’s 8 fit perfectly. The straps are *adjustable (took some tugging at first and then moved easily) which allowed me to snug up the sandal perfectly to fit my smaller ankles and heels . The BEST part is that with the softer sole, the arch feels more supportive (I guess as the foot sinks in a bit the material can push up and support better). As soon as I put them on and adjusted them, I didn’t want to take them off. Perfect in every way! *Note: not all Chacos are adjustable. If you choose a different style I’d suggest making sure they are before selecting.

Purchased these for my husband. He says they were comfortable right away and has worn them for long walks and around the house. The fit of the straps did need to be customized, but we fortunately had an experienced Chaco fitter in the family and it took just a minute. Sizing: Husband wears sometimes a half size, sometimes the next full size. Ordered the full size, and it fit well. Fitter also was impressed with the Cloud surface. Other family members wear theirs for long summertime hikes, so apparently sandal is supportive and comfortable.

I'm a female with a WW foot and have been looking for a pair of hiking sandals for use on the Camino de Santiago this fall. I previously owned a pair of Z2 Classics and they strangled my big toe, so they had to go. These ones are much better and the Cloud soles are fantastic. I was putting off buying another pair of Chacos because I didn't want to have to endure breaking in another foot bed like my previous hiking sandals. These ones were broken in in a day. The strapping is soft and comfortable and they took about 10 seconds to adjust appropriately. I'm still working up to longer distances with the strapping and rough foot bed, but I can already tell these are going in my backpack for sure. If you're buying Chacos, you're likely not incredibly interested in being fashionable, but the straps tend to match/blend with my dresses and casual wear so they are a nice neutral.

Flat feet and tender footed makes for finicky sandal comfort. I despise the original Chaco Classics. The Classics foot bed could be used to grate Parmesan cheese in a pinch. That being said, the "Cloud" version of these is legit and don't feel like they will quit. Thanks Hammer. Anyway, I'd also like to add that the straps for these sandals are adjustable which I had no idea about until I read the instructions. Directions are good. I'd agree that these Chaco Z/Cloud should be your first choice if your going to purchase any sandal in the Chaco line-up. Sure the cost sucks, but the quality/support/and comfort are all on call and there when you need them. Want to save money? Your going to have to pick something else.

I’ve had a pair of chacos for over 10 years, and had the type that included the toe strap. The toe strap always seemed to cinch down around my toe, making it uncomfortable. I decided to go with the type without the toe strap as well as the new cushy footbed. These sandals are much more comfortable, both without the toe strap and with the extra cushy footbed! I didn’t know Chacos could be so comfortable! I’m very pleased with my purchase, and even more pleased with Zappo’s - fantastic service and super fast shipping! A+

Purchased for my husband. He loves these sandals! The arch support is outstanding, as is the thick sole. Very pleased.

The best sandal ever! My previous pair lasted 7 years. The straps are adjustable in many ways. You'll quickly get the hang of it and find it oh so comfortable. This version is lighter than the original pair I got. Love them! Highly recommend!

I bought these shoes for my dad for fathers day and he absolutely loves them! He thought that they were the most comfortable sandals! He has flat feet and loved the arch support. I also have a pair of chacos and love them too! Great shoe for walking around festivals or going on a hike!

My classic Chacos were awesome but a little rough on the soles of my feet. The cloud series are a dream! Great sandal that can be used on the land or in water. I love Birks and now am a big Chaco lover. The cloud series reminds me of the Birk soft footbed option. HEAVEN !

The sizes are hard to figure. I usually wear a 9.5. but since Chacos only come in whole sizes, I've found that each style fits slightly differently. These were too small in the 9 and too big in the 10.

Love the fit and feel of the Chaco's. I will say that I wish the heel strap was adjustable or at least a bit more snug, but aside from that, they're very nice. Allow my foot to move naturally and plenty of room in the toe area for my toes to splay and move as they should. The sandal is supportive and hugs the foot well. I typically wear 9.5-10.5 in shoes depending on shoe type and brand. For these I went with a nine and they fit well.
