We are a family that is transitioning to more barefoot (when possible) and more minimal footwear overall. We also want our children to develop healthy foot muscles -- so no heels, no arch supports, the lower to the ground the better. We're also looking for a nice big toe box so the toes can do their natural work and movement. With all these requirements it was really tough to find a pair of black patent leather shoes for dressing up this Christmas. But these worked! Thank you See Kai Run! Please keep offering stylish but minimal kids shoes!

These shoes are adorable! The patent leather is perfect for dresses. Based on previous reviews, I ordered up a full size to allow some room to grow and I think that was the perfect amount. The shoes run wide, as seems to be normal for this brand, but that is perfect for my daughter's feet.

Very comfortable shoes. Nice looks but not as refined as the Elephantitos or Primigis. But they are very comfortable to wear, which is most important to my daughter.

Shoes fit my daughter perfectly and they are true to size. I needed them for her school uniform and I wanted to make sure I found shoes she could also play and run in .she says they are very comfortable.im happy with purchase .

So cute and well made. I love see Kari shoes. Unfortunately they were long enough but too wide for my daughters foot.

Super cute shoe but they run very small, we went half a size up and maybe could have even gone a whole size.

Tried on 4 sizes until we got it right so the back and forth ordering and returning was inconvenient. Daughter wears size 10.5/11 on all other shoes. We ended up with 12.5 on this one. Shoe runs small, at least in our experience. BUT, comfortable and adorable shoe. Very happy once we got the size right. Will try others from this maker, asking for much larger. :)

The shoe runs one size small. Bought two pair for two granddaughters, ages 4 and 6. One wears size 10 and the other size 11. Had to give younger girl size 11 and return size 10, and order older girl a new size 12 replacement.

I'm the Grandmother and I saw my Granddaughter wear these shoes at a visit during the Easter season. The shoes looked beautiful and seemed to fit well. My Granddaughter seemed to love them and they were very comfortable. I thought they were stylish and looked great with her Easter outfit. Thank you for wonderful kid shoes!

See kai run shoes never disappoint! The quality is excellent and they are always supportive, nicely cushioned, and durable. These Mary Janes are no exception! My daughter loves the scalloped look and says the are very comfortable.

Very dainty, pretty flats. I bought these in hopes that they could replace her old Clarks Mary Janes that no longer fit and no longer made which she loooooved. See Kai Run delivered! She loves them and tells me they’re super comfy.

Another great shoe by this brand. We got the red patent leather. The leather is a bit stiff at first, but my daughter had no complaints. I was worried the stiff strap would be uncomfortable but it hasn’t been an issue. We wear this in winter time with tights. We have to have a leather insole and these are so breathable, which I think you need with patent leather. The leather is still shiny and lovely after many wears, although we are not tough on these shoes, they are indoor only. No scuffs at all. No wrinkles in the leather, they still look new! Lovely shoes.

Perfect comfortable and classy holiday shoe for my toddler. Has wonderful support, not just flat soles.

Very comfy shoes

Favorite little kid shoes ever! My fancy-but-fearless daughter loves them because they look pretty but have rubber soles for running and climbing and don't fall off. They're also great for kids with wide feet or high insteps because the scallop detail is very forgiving. My daughter has high insteps ("tall" feet) and mary jane styles often cut across the top of her foot -- not these! We'll order these again and again. I wish they made more colors!

LOVE! the cute scallop detail along with the always-great fit of this brand made these a perfect winter staple, when inside! My daughter's foot is wide but this felt perfect to her, length was great too!

I loved these shoes when I saw the scallop and patent leather...but more importantly, my 4 year old loves them and wears them every day for her school uniform. She finds these shoes to be very comfortable and can easily walk and run a long way in them :) They are also easy for her to put on and off by herself since they are Velcro. I highly recommend these adorable shoes!

Great quality! Very cute.

My 6 year old daughter has been wearing them for 6 months already, heavily! They look worn, but did not break anywhere and she still loves them. It is her to go shoe everyday - no matter if with sweat pants of fancy dress! They are light, super comfortable, easy to put on and durable. I will be getting her the next size once she grows out of this pair.

Unfortunately, we needed a pair of black shoes on for a funeral on short notice. Zappos came through. We ordered the shoes and they arrived before we boarded the plane. My seven year-old daughter found them to be comfortable, wearing them with both tights and thicker socks. She wore them for basically four days straight, in both rain and shine. No blisters. No complaints. I can't speak to how well they hold up over time, but they did well in the wet grass at the cemetery, on the slippery steps at the church, and inside at the wake. Also, a huge "thank you" to See Kai Run for making shoes in larger "big girl" sizes that still look sweet, and youthful. My daughter is currently a 1-2 in youth sizes and pretty much all the choices she has are just small-sized versions of adult shoes with heels and styling not appropriate to a second grader.

Very cute and comfortable shoes, the black leather is soft, my daughter wears it to school, no screeches so far, she likes them!

These shoes are the cutest. I got them in pink and black and we love them.
