My last pair of Rockport Wingtips lasted me a whole year of weekly tradeshows (on my feet 8+ hours a day, around the world). The heels have a "leather" decoration on them so they don't look like rubber soles. This leather decoration is falling off after just 30 days of tradeshows... The rest of the shoe looks like new! They fit incredibly well, they look great, except this rear heel issue that makes them look sloppy. I am returning them and will be looking for a different Rockport to replace this style. :-( sad.

Do not buy this shoe! After only three weeks of wearing these shoes, the heel is starting to fall apart. It seems that this shoe has a very thin decorative veneer wrapped-around and glued on the exterior face of the heel that can't hold up to every day street use. Absolutely stupid! Needless to say after decades of buying Rockports, I will no longer buy Rockports. What a waste of time and money. My wife felt sorry for me and handed me a roll of Gorilla Tape to hold it together. At least we could both laugh about that one. Thank goodness for my wife. Tommy

I've had Rockport dress shoes at this price point before and not had these issues. A) The shoe's construction isn't breathable. They've got the things lined with so much extra fabric or something that my feet sweat. This isn't a problem with the other dress shoes that I currently wear. B) The rubber heel is a good for a softer walk. Unfortunately they lined it with thin leather strips to make it look like...well, not rubber. Because of the give of the rubber heel, the adhesive gave way on those within the first month.

They Squeak! I can’t wear them to work. This is the second pair in a row I bought from Zappos that squeaks loudly and I can’t wear because it sounds like a clown is walking around our office.

Beautiful shoe. Great insert. Looks like it would be like walking in a pillow...WRONG!!! This shoe absolutely ripped my heels up within about a half day of at work walking, removing skin the size of quarters on each heel in exactly the same spot. The WORST shoe for damaging my feet ever. I have gotten thick leather work boots that during breakins felt like lingerie compared to these instruments of extreme pain. Extremely dissatisfied with the back edge of the shoe. Very disappointed. I have many pairs of leather shoes and I understand breakins and have very reasonable expectations for some amount of pain and rubbing...these were like course sandpaper, shredding skin left and right. Move on. Get a different shoe. Looks aren't enough to save this shoe from a one star unless you want a great looking shoe for your closet and not your feet!
