Strangely, a strip of the heel is coming off both shoes, as shown. Have worn these comfortable shoes for years and never had a problem. These are only 6 months old. Will buy a new pair with hopes that this is not a recurrent problem.

Nice shoe, but if they get any rain on them they stain permanently. I walked briefly in the rain a few times and the leather now has a large water stain. If you wear 100% inside, they'll probably be fine. But if they get any water on them, they get ruined.

After having these shoes for a little over 6 months I can say they break in nicely. I have a wide foot and bought a 12 but was hesitant that may need a 13. I didn't go with the 13 because I was afraid of the length and didn't want them to look like clown shoes. After about 2 months of occasional wear the leather stretched and the shoes fit like a glove. The finish of the leather is also a very nice quality, turning out to be very soft and having a nice polished look (not shiny pleather like others). I constantly get compliments on these shoes when I wear them with navy, grey or dark blue jeans. The shoes pair nicely with colorful socks too. The heel is up a bit and was new to me because I usually wear loafers, but is very comfortable wearing them all day. The only issue I have with the shoe is that the rubber on the sole is somewhat thin. I wear these shoes 1-2 times a week and I feel as if they shouldn't be showing as much wear on the heel. The brown cork/wood finish on the heel has started to show wear as well. However, I am 6' 2", 230lbs. so that may factor into the equation Overall I am very pleased with the style, comfort but the weaker points are the quality of the heel for me. If you are looking or a shoe in this color and style you will not be disappointed, If you decide to go with something else I would recommend getting a heel and sole with the brown finish as opposed to the black. A much cleaner and uniform look in my opinion.

No problem with the style or fit - the issue is quality. Have bought many pairs of Rockport wing tips, always good results...until this one. Zappos was great about making it right, but I ended up having to send back two pairs for the same problem - the material on the heel comes loose. The first time, it was after only a few weeks. The second time, it was after a few months. There was no fixing it, I tried glue, etc. Will still buy Rockports, but not this model.

Needed to exchange my first pair after four days due to the covering on the heel disintegrating and separating from the rubber. The next pair had the same issue after only two days. Meanwhile, the pair of five year old Rockports that I already have are still in great shape with minimal evidence of wear on the heels in the same location. Customer service has been incredibly helpful during this process. I will be trying my luck with a pair of Cole Haan Jay Grand Apron Oxford shoes as a replacement now.

I was picking shoes to wear as a groomsman at a wedding, and narrowed it down to these Rockport Style + Purpose and a somewhat similar pair of Cole Haan wingtips. The Cole Haan were a tiny bit fancier, and had slightly better finishing and workmanship. I packed both pairs in my suitcase, and made it a game-day decision. Having the two pairs of shoes side-by-side, I decided that the Rockports were certainly fancy enough for a wedding, and feel like they are built to last years. Plus I really liked the perforated design on the toe. The thing that put these shoes on my feet for the big day is that they're super comfortable for a dress shoe -- well cushioned, and flexible soles for all the standing, walking, and dancing that was to come over the evening. At the end of the day, my feet were happy in these Rockports -- and I'd gotten plenty of compliments for my shoe game from other guests at the wedding. I'm very happy with these shoes, and highly recommend them for someone looking for dressy oxfords/wingtips. Plus, the price is great too!

I have very narrow feet and usually wear size US 11-1/2 in athletic or work shoes to get the recommended extra thumb's width in length. I knew these would be too wide for me at that size, but because shoe width decreases proportionally with length and I didn't need the extra toe room for dress shoes, I ordered these in 10.5M. When I first walked in them the length was fine but my heels would slip up slightly with each step. I loved the look of these shoes and wanted to keep them so found an easy remedy. You can buy stick-on felt tongue pads at drugstores or shoe stores and that did the trick. Now they fit perfectly. The only nitpick was the slick laces tended to come loose. That was fixed by different tying so the bow ends up perpendicular to the foot. Google it to find out how. Anyway, these are great shoes. They are very dressy, well made, and still look good after more than a year.

Great shoe. This is my second pair. My first pair had the rubber ring around the heel come off similarly to other reviewers. However, the shoe is so comfortable and I use 3 to 5 times a week that I ordered another pair hoping that the same thing will not happen again.

The comfort was really good but a year after my purchase, like some other reviewers, the heel is starting to peel off in strips. I'm really disappointed in this quality problem.

The fit is okay. I'm always between a 12 and 13 depending on the manufacturer. These were 12's. I'm 6'4" 230 lbs., and I wear 'em all day for class. This semester, I'm lecturing for 75 minutes at a pop and these shoes are fine. No aches or pains. I will say the width seems a tad narrower than the cap-toe version of this shoe, but overall I'm quite pleased with these. i bought the "tan" version.

Quality is nice, but even purchased as a W this shoe is too thin to put on my foot. Other wide shoes are fine. Must be the style of shoe.

Great dress shoe

Comfortable, light-weight, and stylish.

I bought five pairs of Oxfords for my husband to wear... in Oxford. These were his first choice! They were pretty wearable from the get go. Short break in period of a few days.

Was looking for a nice pair of comfortable shoes for meetings and formal occasions. These get the job done! Rockport is definitely one of my favorite brands with a good balance of quality, comfort, and affordability.

My go to show for a reason. Work on my feet all day.

These shoes fit well and are true to size. I initially ordered the wide version, because my feet are usually wide, but those were way too wide. These fit me perfectly. They’re comfortable enough that they should get me through medical school and beyond!

Finally a VERY comfortable dress shoe! I had foot surgery and have not been able to wear any normal shoes. I had a formal wedding to attend and was concerned about my feet. I ordered these and danced all night with no issues!!

Shoe fits perfectly and is extremely comfortable. I very stylish shoe.
