I wear a size 10.5 or 11 normally. I also need shoes with good arches for occasional plantar fasciitis bouts. I purchased the Chase II, size 42 (11-11.5) for a trip, that involves much walking. They are so comfortable, right out of the box. Great arch support. My feet do not slip, forward and hit the front of the shoe. I have received so many compliments on their looks. Great shoe for fit and looks and lots of walking!

I recently developed plantar fasciitis and need all the arch support I can get. These shoes have the most arch support I've ever seen in a casual street sneaker! I got my usual size 8-8.5 (euro 39). They're super comfy and the leather dresses them up so they're cute, not frumpy. There's plenty of toe room for my bunionettes, too (I know.. I have problem feet). I lived in Birkenstock sandals all summer and got some Birkenstock clogs for the winter, but they're just too ugly to wear out of the house. These sneakers are a great solution! I am officially throwing out my Supergas and Converse.

This shoe is a life saver. I am suffering from many foot problems (plantar in left foot and Morton's neuroma in right foot. This foot has a moderately wide toe box, good support and width. Very lightweight and as stylish as it gets for a comfortable shoe. As good as it gets.

Age: 68 Physical issues: disabled due to osteoarthritis in both knees I am impressed with this shoe! The classic style, the construction and materials, and the level of comfort. I bought the warm grey, it's a wonderful neutral color. I was looking for a walking shoes that would cushion the impact for my arthritic knees, found these work better than the Medicare approved shoes. The footbed supports not just my arch, but also under my toes: it's both stabilizing and comfortable. Best shoe I have purchased in years.

I ordered these for a trip to Europe and walked miles and miles in these over the course of three weeks. I like the European styling and they look more dressed up than a typical tennis shoe. Very good arch support. The warm gray/moon rock color matches pretty much everything - denim pants, black jeans, etc. Highly recommended - especially if you're traveling internationally and don't want your shoes to yell "I'm a tourist!" Had more support than a similar Seibel shoe I also tried.

Super comfy! I bought these for an upcoming trip to Europe where we will likely be walking a lot. Didn't want to look like a tourist in tennis shoes as others have said. I think I am a pretty standard 8.5: sometimes 9, sometimes 8 depending on the brand. I ordered these in the eu 39 which is 8-8.5 and they fit perfectly.

I wanted to love this shoe and at first I thought I might but it was too firm and stiff for my post surgery foot. To accommodate my bad foot it slipped on my other foot at my heal and I knew I would develop a blister with prolonged use.

Great shoe, but seemed a size larger than 39 that I always wear. Had a total knee replacement 5 months ago and need the stability of a walking shoe, since I am back walking 4 or 5 miles a day.

Oh! Hello! I spent close to a moth in France with these shoes-best pre trip purchase! Europeans walk everywhere...no, really everywhere! Up hills down hills in the south of France..those people are part mountain goat..I'm sure of it. Walked to street markets, sightseeing, just every where. These shoes are made for touring. Sneakers are....touristy, icky. These have class and comfort. I carry 3 pair of shoes on overseas travel of more than a week. These, a pair of Keen sandals and a pair of Vionic flat ballet style for dress. I refuse to wear heels and highly value foot comfort especially when touring! I have bilateral knee replacements and need good comfortable support. These shoes and a little day pack are the ticket to comfortable sightseeing ANYWHERE!

Super comfortable and cute - bonus! This shoe is wide enough in the toe box to leave plenty of room, yet doesn't look bulbous. The cushioning is great and I love the arch support.

First of all - These shoes do run an extra size too big. I am usually a 6 and the 5-5 1/2 fit perfect - even with thin socks. The color Moon Rock is NOT silver. It is more an odd golden color. But, I kept them anyway because these shoes are comfortable. They keep my heels in place. The shoes are leather. I wanted a good walking shoes and I think these fit the bill. I will know better once I take them on vacation. Yes, they do look like bowling shoes or a converse type shoe. It has a good arch support. My son says they look cool.

I don't usually pay full price for shoes, but the reviews were so good that I thought I'd take a chance. I wore them for a 3 mile hike and was surprised at how good they felt, especially since I have a bunion on my right foot that always causes issues. I'm so glad I purchased these and will be taking them to Italy next month. I may get the leather laces as one reviewer suggested to make them a little more dressy, but I don't think they look like bowling shoes (her opinion). They actually are quite nice; I got them in the grey/moonrock color- goes with everything.

Nice looking shoe but the 39 was too large (normally I wear size 8) and the 38 fit in length but was painfully uncomfortable at the arch area (I have low arches). BTW, I find it helpful when reviewers reveal their height and weight...Im 5'4" and weigh 130.

WOW!!! Now THIS is a comfortable shoe!!!! It is extremely well made inside and out, is comfortable straight out of the box, and is an unusual color that I did not have in my collection! I usually wear a 6 or a 6.5 depending upon the brand. When it comes to European sizing it's always a roll of the dice because brands and styles vary so widely. I ended up in the size 36. My feet are not wide; a medium width is always ample for me and this held true here as well. But not only are these shoes fantastic, but the Zappos agent I spoke with, Trey, was outstanding! I had ordered the 37 initially and it was definitely too big. I had ordered a pair of Hoka One One Clifton 3's that fit like a dream and they came in the same shipment. Tre and I got to talking about how many folks love the Hokusai while he arranged for the 36's in the Ecco to be sent, and do you know what that very nice man did? He overnighted my new Ecco's to me!!! They were here 24 hours later? And THAT, my friends, wins you a loyal customer! I am a confessed shoeaholic....and up until now I've been a bit agnostic about where I buy my shoes. NO MORE! It's Zappos for me and my husband from now on! If anyone at Zappos is reading this, do something special for Trey because he's a total keeper!!!

Really love these shoes! I tried many (thanks to Zappos for making this possible!) before finding the right fit AND the right style for a walking shoe for a trip to Italy. I wanted something comfortable and supportive, but with some cuteness/style thrown in. These shoes met all criteria! I use special insoles that provide additional arch support, and these were accommodated nicely in this shoe, and they were comfortable even after many hours walking on uneven surfaces. I'm thinking of ordering another pair to store away for when these wear out. I have "problem feet", and am always disappointed when I find a shoe I love and it's changed or discontinued.

Very comfortable just out of the box. I am a 7 and tried the 37 first, but needed the 38.

Firstly, I don't wear sneakers outside of the gym, but I LOVE these shoes. The comfort of Ecco, and very cute. I intended these for a comfortable travel shoe, but am planning to wear them in the fall with jeans as a casual transitional shoe before boot weather begins.

Love these shoes! I have the same ones in blue and are the most comfortable shoes I have own. These I bought for my recent trip to Europe, and are just perfect to walk miles and miles without any problem. They have the perfect arch support, all leather, and not the "tourist look" thant most avoid. Highly recommend!

The Ecco Chase II Tie has very good arch support. I have high arches and have had plantar fasciitis in the past, so I need good support. These shoes have that. They also have a very comfortable toe box. I really love these sneakers. They are extremely comfortable and they look so cute with jeans. Someone mentioned that they look a little like bowling shoes and in a way they do, but in a good way. They are sturdier than a regular sneaker and so much more comfortable. I love them. I normally wear a 9 and I ordered a size 40. Fit perfectly.

The color is more a taupe than gray. I usually wear a size 7 or 38. These felt a full size larger. I reordered a 37 in the blue color. Perfect blue/gray color and perfect fit. Comfortable right out of the box.

Overall I can see this is a shoe that would be comfortable to many. It was good for my low volume foot. Still slipped a bit on my narrow heel. But the thing that really pushed me to return them was that the arch is high and hard. Sorry to have to return them. By the way, for those with narrow heels, those athletic shoes that have an extra hole at the top beside the regular line of holes allow you to lace the shoe a little differently and secure the heel much better. For the Yucatan sandals, the straps can be shortened across the top of the foot and around the back to accommodate a narrow heel and low volume foot. It requires taking out some stitching, but can even be done on a home sewing machine.

I ordered no fewer than 7 pairs of shoes to try out for a trip to Ireland. All of them were very good brands. Among the choices was the ECCO Soft VII Sneaker in size 40. I am usually a 9.5, but sometimes go a half size smaller. The Soft VII rubbed across the top of my foot just before the toes. I wasn't thrilled with the color. This Chase II Tie wasn't available in a 40, so I tried the 41. The length was just fine. Plenty of room in the toe box. No rubbing at all, and I appreciated the arch support because I have PF. I was pleased with the fit! But more importantly (c'mon, let's admit it!), the Warm Grey/Moon Rock is a gorgeous color! Not quite brown, not quite grey, they hover near "mushroom" or "greige". Soft, gorgeous color! (And yes, I realize I am talking about a sneaker). Great fit, great looking shoe. The picture doesn't due it justice.

This shoe delivers a comfortable fit, due in large part to it's arch support. It completes my favorite casual wear - black jeans! The shoe is a step up from athletic shoes and always elicits positive comments.

Well, this is actually the SECOND pair I bought. These shoes are fantastic. Love to wear them with my jeans. To work, to the pub, to walk the dog. Summer and winter. They are simply perfect. Moreover, I get complements about how they look. Did I already mention that they are well made?

Loved these shoes. They were very supportive and allowed my orthotics to fit inside, due to the removable insole. But they were too big. I'm somtimes a 37 sometimes a 38. The 38 was HUGE so I need a 37, maybe even a 36 in this brand.
