I guess the definition of roomy or "full in the seat & thigh" depends on perspective. I'm an older and now out of shape formerly athletic guy (biking & lifting). Therefore I have thick legs & an ample backside. Levi's 569 used to be my "go to" before they "skinnified" them a few years back. I was hoping these would fit the bill based on their description. Unfortunately the only nice thing about them was how they looked prior to trying them on. These things looked painted on & the rise in the rear didn't even come up to the top of my underwear. My wife was not happy with the fact that nothing was left to the imagination up front either, that's how tight these things were.

Sizing is completely wrong. The waist was about 3 inches wrong.

Buying Levi's Online these days is like playing Russian Roulette. You might know your exact waist size and fit but you don't know if the pair of jeans you order will fit exactly like the size and length you want to order. I remember a time when I can buy 10 pairs of 514 Jeans and they all fit the same, the only reason I would have to return a pair of Jeans was the color not looking the same as it was online. Otherwise the color is great for all occasions, too bad it doesn't fit as the size I ordered.

The jeans color was NOT as dark as it appears in the online ad! Furthermore, the stitching was not uniform and not all the same color, either. But the worst was the fit! I purchased the 541 9in a lighter color) in-store but had to purchase the darker pair online. The salesman assured me it would EXACTLY the same fit, however once I received them, they were tight at the waist, there was no stretch, and felt tight in the legs, as well.

I have bought 4 Levi's Jean 541 in waist 33 and length 32 in 4 different colors. All of them arrived fine but none of them had the same waist and length (even if the label were well the same). I cannot wear 2 out the 4. Is it due to the fact that 1 jean was coming from Mexico, 1 from Egypt, 1 from Pakistan and 1 from another country I do not recall????

I bought these jeans in the rigid dragon color. They run way too small. I have lots of Levi jeans so when I bought these I thought they would fit with no problem. I washed them before trying them on big mistake. This is the first pair where my size was not correct to the fit. After reading reviews on line I found this is a common problem with the 541. So my suggestion is don't by these until you try them on if you can actually get them on. Very disappointed with this purchase wasted my money.

After first wash shrank at least an inch in length.

I was truly looking forward to purchasing two pairs of the LEVI'S 541 Athletic Fit Jeans in TORO. Unfortunately, I very disappointed with this purchase first of all the LEVI'S 541 Athletic Fit is made of 100% cotton they are not a STRETCH pair of jeans due to the fact the TORO style 541 are not made with the combination of Cotton/Spandex. All of my prior purchases of the LEVI'S 541 Athletic Fit Jeans are STRETCH and made with the Cotton/spandex and they all fit PERFECT. The LEVI'S 541 Athletic Fit in Blue Merit or Lake Merrit, White, Blue Canyon, Black and Midnight in size 40X36 and these are the best fitting LEVI'S with a comfortable waist, seat, thighs and tapered cut and they all are STRETCH and made with either Cotton/Spandex or Cotton/Elastane. My initial purchase of the LEVI'S 541 Athletic Fit in TORO was in size 40X36 they did not fit at all so I went up in the waist size and purchased two pairs in 42X36 and two pairs in 44X36 again they don't fit either. Again, the problem with the LEVI'S 541 Athletic Fit in TORO they don't STRETCH and they are not made with the either the Cotton/Spandex or Cotton/Elastane combination. Very disappointed with my overall purchase of the LEVI'S 541 Athletic Fit in TORO hopefully DXL Men's Apparel can request the LEVI'S Company to product their LEVI'S 541 Athletic Fit in TORO with STRETCH and made with either Cotton/Spandex or Cotton/Elastane combination. Needless to say I am returning my recent purchase of the LEVI'S 541 Athletic Fit in TORO that are not STRETCH back to DXL Men's Appeal. Disappointed Customer!!!

The product was good when I tried it on at the store. After wearing the jeans all day I was not satisfied. Levi's have a few different brands 501, 541, 561, etc. I will try a different one in the future.

I order three pairs of these jeans. The Timberwolf/Cruz pair was about 3/4" shorter than the other two, and the stitching/material around the crotch was messed up. So I ordered the same pair again and they were still 3/4" shorter, but this new pair was about an inch smaller around the waste than the other two I kept. How one color can be so much different than the others in size, quality and fit is beyond me.

Doesn't fit as advertised

I went into the local store and tried on the Levi's 541 Athletic Fit in the Blue Canyon color (the ONLY color available in stores). The style is flattering because it doesn't have a ton of extra fabric at the back of legs. The 56 was way too big at the waist and the 54 fit great with just a little wiggle room (comfortable). I need the Rigid Dragon color for work, because it is the only PLAIN, DARK JEAN, WITHOUT DISTRESS MARKS. I ordered the 54 and when it arrived it was very tight, like it was a 52 and there was zero stretch in the fabric. I had to go through a horrible exchange process because this color isn't in the stores and after ordering the larger size online through the store, corporate later placed the item on backorder and never told me or the store. I got them to eventually send both a 54 and 56 to compare the sizing issue and this color is in fact NOT TRUE TO SIZE. I expect a 54 to be a 54 across the board (especially when in the same style). A mile is still a mile no matter what car you are driving. That is why we have units of measurement, for consistency. I kept the 56, but it doesn't have any stretch and combined with the slim design makes it a bit constrictive. I'll use these for work only, but not hanging out or going out. Also, weirdly they were still very stiff and wrinkled a lot after the wash.

Everyday wear. This style is not true to size, I thought that with it being athletic fit it would be a looser fit and instead it is tighter and runs way smaller. They were returned and I purchased my usual style

The jeans were not true to size and the site did not indicate that they were button fly. Not my kind of jeans at all, I am going to be returning them!

LOOKING FOR LIGHT BLUE LEVI JEANS NOT WORE OUT PRE-WASHED.

I not true to size for me. I normally wear a 38 waist and the 38 in these were substantially larger. To the point of falling down.

I first tried these jeans on at a Destination XL store. I loved the feel and the stretch that these jeans had, but I did not like the wash of the jeans with the whiskering and faded knees. The store clerk told me I could purchase the same jeans online, but in different colors. I came home and bought two pairs in Rigid Dragon. When the pants came...well...the dragon wasn't the only thing that was rigid. These jeans had absolutely ZERO stretchiness like the same brand and style I tried on in the store. Same size, same brand, same 541 jeans, but wildly different fits based on the colors. I managed to get them on and they were so uncomfortable and stiff -- well unlike the jeans I tried on in the store that had enough stretch for me to high step. Very disappointed in these jeans because I had heard such glowing remarks about them. I just wish they fit the same regardless of the color.

These jeans are described as adding more room in the seat and thighs. That isn't correct. I put them on and they are like skinny chick jeans. I put them up to a pair of 559's that fit very well... and they are significantly smaller. Athletic Fit should be SKINNY LEG

Service from Zappos was excellent as always, however these Levis are garbage. Too bad, because I like the idea of an athletic fit. Fabric is thin, stitching is terrible. Worst part, however, is the inconsistency from pair to pair. I have one pair I like well enough for the fit and price, so I ordered a second pair in the same size. They are smaller overall, and about an inch shorter than the pair I recently ordered. I returned them and could order another in the hope that maybe this was just a "bad" pair, but come on. A little quality control in the Bangladesh factory that makes these, please.
