What a disappointment. I thought from the pictures and the Rockport name this was a nice quality item. But then the heel split and I could see that the inside of the heel is a cheap plastic filler with a very thin veneer of leather hiding the plastic. What a rip off.

Awesome, awesome, awesome shoe! Light, stylish, super comfortable. Wear it with business attire or casual. Many compliments received.

I was looking for a pair of everyday boots that I could dress up/down to replace old Timberlands and these are wonderful. They look nice, are dark brown, and very comfortable.

This is my second pair of these shoes - I bought the brown ones first, and liked them so much that I bought the black pair. They were moderately comfortable right out of the box (a bit tight on the instep, because I have high insteps). But, they break in very quickly. They look great, with either jeans or more dressy business casual outfits.

I ordered the boots for look and comfort and got both. Not to mention Rockport is a name you can trust. I wear the boots with suit jackets and the casual look. I highly recommend them.

Overall didn’t hold up as I’d expect. Material around the heel is a veneer that wore off quickly. Sole at the heel wore quickly and exposed the plastic underneath.

Disappointing. Great looking shoe and quite comfortable, but...definitely some quality issues. Likely a broader Rockport concern - similar issue on last two shoes from them. Heel starts coming apart after just a few times wearing it. Either not glued correctly or just poor quality adhesive. Color seems to be not applied correctly or leather stained inadequately - color fully rubs off with the slightest scuff.

I've had these shoes for a little over a year now. I really liked them at first, but the quality is very poor. The back heel has wore away on both bots and it's now just hard plastic. I've slipped twice on two surfaces recently because of the hard plastic. Any support for the arch is gone and event the shoe laces are coming apart. I've never left a shoe review before, but felt compelled to leave this once given the short lived love of this boot. I really wish the quality was better for the price that I paid. Very disappointed here.

These are comfortable right out of the box, though they do seem to run a little large. However, I was disappointed with the quality. Poor construction and inferior leather compared to other shoes in this price range (e.g., Cole Haan).

The first pair that came in had a bit of marring on the side so i returned them with little effort. Just wish they checked for that before they are sent it to me to save me some grief of course. The second pair were perfect except they had a red hue in comparison to the original ones sent to me (which I wanted more-brown). Overall, great customer service, just wish they checked out the shoe more clearly before they sent it to me and that the colors were more consistent with each other.

Great shoe. Stylish and comfortable!

I've been wearing the Ledge Hill 2 series of shoes since 2013, had the low top ones I own re-heeled only once, even though I've worn them for work as a pediatrician all that time. So when I found these to add, i thought they would feel similarly comfortable. They are more comfy right out of the box, and I have worn them for 10 hour days first day without foot pain. These are great with jeans or dress pants. The style is good, but they need polish right away--I sprayed water repellent on them first and the spray on finish redistributed a bit but easily redeemable. I would recommend water repellant on the heel especially because water is what makes the layer of leather separate off the heel and look nasty. I always wear orthotics. No shoe has enough arch support for me, thus the rating.

These boots are awesome! Almost as awesome as Zappos!! We buy all our shoes from Zappos and they never disappoint!

Bought these for my husband who was looking for a polished everyday shoe--he LOVES them. He has large, flat feet and tends to have a hard time finding comfortable shoes. He thinks they are incredibly comfortable and very, very lightweight (he says they are almost as comfortable as his athletic shoes). They also look great--not a dress shoe, but sleek looking and the leather looks and feels of good quality. The lace up front allows him to adjust the fit so that he can wear orthotics and socks with a variety of thicknesses. I highly recommend these shoes!!

Very good looking in person, nice detailing and good quality leather. College age son has wide feet and difficulty finding shoes that properly fit his custom orthodics, with removable insoles the size wide fit the bill. Highly recommend!

Nice shoe. Looks and fits well. Great cross over for work or play. Pretty true to size. I thought it may be too snug on the arch, but loosened up to be perfect.

I have three pairs in different colors now. It's hard to find comfortable shoes that also look nice. They run large so order a smaller size than you normally would.

This shoe is comfortable and looks great. It ran just a little large, but not so much as to exchange it, as I use an orthopedic arch support. I'm very happy with it.

Excellent quality shoe so far. Looks great and feels even better. I run a restaurant. I'm on my feet constantly running up and down stairs. Great shoe.

First, I have a very difficult time finding shoes. I have very, very wide bunions, but the rest of my foot is normal width. Therefore, I have to order wide shoes. I have looked high and low for something that is comfortable out of the box and that looks great with jeans or dockers. I smiled as soon as I tried on the first boot. I walked around our tile floor and found them very, very comfortable. My wife likes the style as well. I have never owned a pair of Rockport shoes before, but if this pair is any indication, I will be a loyal customer. Kudos to Zappos for fast deliver (and free returns of a pair of Born boots that were too narrow).

The selections are great!! I do wish you had more my size and width but I understand my need are rare. your customer service was excellent and ease of return was amazing! So I will not only continue to shop with Zappos but I will proudly sing the praises of my experience to the world. Thank you

Bought these for a very picky spouse with a wide foot. Despite his concerns that Rockports were for "old men" he LOVED them. He wears them to work almost daily and feels pretty cool about it. Reasonable price compared to trendier brands of Chukkas and no one knows they are "old man" shoes.

Great boots. Very comfortable right out of the box. I have received many compliments. They are a solid buy.
