Oh, Vans, why do you have to be so cruel? On the one hand, you are beautiful, with graceful proportions and eye-candy color and graphic combos that make my kid who would happily wear a dirt sack into a certified shoeholic. On the other hand, the prettier you are the more you wear like crappy grocery store flip flops put together by particularly unmotivated slave laborers in total darkness. Every graphics pair has flamed out (that line may be the only pleasure I get) with only church-shoe like wear, not even lasting half the eye blink it would have taken to outgrow. In a year or two my son will have moved on from his Vans obsession, in the meantime the greatest use these shoes have is as an object lesson in pretty is as pretty does Extra bonus credit to Zappos cs for suggesting ever-more powerful adhesives for each pair I masochistically re-order; they are like the nasa ground team for each doomed pairs limited flight duration and have probably collectively spent more time thinking about Vans construction than the good folks at Vans.

So disappointed. We love Vans but this pair after only a little over a week of wear looks awful. The seams are all splitting as well as the fabrics has holes and is faded. Seriously rethinking ever buying another pair of Vans again. So bummed!

My 9 year old son loves Vans. After this pair, I will not buy him another pair since they do not hold up. They usually only last a few months but this pair has been far worse. Within the first week of wearing them, the tan rubber siding was detaching from the canvas. I've attached a picture of the shoe after 2 weeks.

These are great shoes. I love the sole of the shoes. It last a very long time, and that is good because the kids are tough on them.

The fit was okay but the shoe ripped right away from the rubber at the toe. I bought them a half size up but still when my son came home from camp his shoes were trash, SUPER disappointing

My son loves these. Might not be the best for wide feet.

As always Zappos got my order just right, and super quick. However if you are ordering these slip-on Van's for your child with wide feet ....or really anything other than narrow feet- be warned. These are VERY NARROW. We couldn't get his foot squeezed in :(

Runs small and is very tight ?

Loved the shoe but runs small I purchased these for my daughter who wears a size 7y and she barely could get her feet inside them so I had to return them

I can't speak to how the shoe feels, as it's my son who wears them. They are fun shoes, he loves the look, but they seem like some sort of torture instrument to bend a foot into. I would rank putting these on right up there next to putting on a ski boot. I'm assuming this will improve with wear.

They are a little wide for my son's narrow foot but they stay on. Love the style!

These are the only shoes my son will wear. He does everything in them and never complains about his feet. So, I guess they are good for all of a ten year old's needs.

These were a present for my nephew and he loved them. He has asked for another pair.

Especially great shoes for boys who need thick soles. Not the greatest for climbing a tree but wonderful for biking and skateboarding. On the narrow side and sized small, but once we took my sons to a store and got some Vans sized correctly we were able to continue to order Vans off of Zappos without sizing issues. Top fabric comfortably stretches to fit the foot. Rubber rim separates a bit but the shoe holds strong. Zappos had great pricing and the shoes arrived early.

Purchased these for my nephew. He loves the classic checkerboard and the hint of camo on the side!
