Great looking jacket, well constructed and from when I tried it on it appeared to be very breathable. However, it was not proportioned appropriately for me. I am 6'5" weigh 230 lbs and have a 36 1/2" sleeve length. XL-Tall is my jacket size except when the jacket is cut slim or very fitter. The jacket fit everywhere except the arm holes and sleeves. The arm holes were cut high -- tight under the arms -- and the sleeves were an inch too short with the jacket on over a T-Shirt. No way I would be able to wear a fleece under it. Had to send it back.

It looks great, and it's lightweight and pretty comfortable, though it doesn't breathe very well. It's not very durable after a month of regular use in Portland it's started leaking in various spots, and I broke through the elbow without enough force to leave a bruise or scratch on my skin. I wouldn't set out to buy it again, but there aren't really many/any options in my size. For the price, I expect more...an inside pocket would be greatly appreciated.

Very basic rain jacket. There are two things that annoy me about it though. 1) Pockets are uneven in depth (still functional, but just QA niggle) 2) Sleeves are too tight. If I'm wearing anything of substance long-sleeve underneath, the lining comes out at the cuffs when I put it on. A bit uncomfortable.

Seems like a nice jacket, but the sleeves are too short. I have a few other Columbia jackets in the same size (LT) that fit perfectly. Not sure why this one is so short.

Sleeves were too short for being a Tall. Coat is small for size indicating it is XL Tall. Quality of coat seemed good. Ordered a 2nd coat and that fit fine and was the same size.

I like the color and that it's lightweight but it's not waterproof. The last few times I've worn it in the rain I have wet spots where water has come through. It's disappointing to say the least when it's advertised as waterproof.

The pictures show an older, more quality jacket then the one you actually receive. The new jacket does not come with an embroidered Columbia tag or the pocket to store the jacket within itself.

I got a large tall and the torso is way too long long but the sleeves are still too short, the hood is also too small. I am extremely disappointed and I will be returning it.

I've worn Columbia most of my life due to the great products, reliability, and warranty to back them up. However, I ended up returning this item as it ran very small. I ordered this jacket in a 4XLT to replace a Columbia rain jacket that was 19 years old. The old jacket was a 2XL. I went up a few sizes to try and make sure this jacket would work (as I heard that Columbia was cutting their sizes smaller. Long story short... the 2XL is bigger and longer in the shoulders and sleeves than the 4XLT. The jacket did appear to be well made and what I would have loved to wear.

At 6'4", 200lbs, the body fit well but the arms were too short. Though almost acceptable with arms at my sides, when I reached out or up, the cuff edge was about 5" too short. So either the TALL size arms need to be significantly longer, or the shoulder area needs to better designed to accommodate for movement. It was a bummer because it otherwise seemed that it would have met my need as a lightweight, packable good-for-hiking, outdoor-adventure, always-on-hand-just-in-case rain jacket in the Pacific Northwest.

Living in the Pacific NW, I wear this jacket 9 months out of the year and am fairly hard on the jacket, so I buy a new Columbia Watertight jacket every year. The new version is definitely a step down in quality. With this year's version, Columbia replaced the snaps with thin velcro. They also replaced the zipper with the small teeth type zipper instead of the heavier duty large tooth zipper. The biggest reason I would not recommend this jacket is that while the hips and chest fit similar to previous versions, the arms are incredibly narrow and have virtually no room for movement. I would say that I have normal size arms and this fits almost skin tight with a short sleeve shirt on underneath. It's so bad, that I will have to send it back. I'm very disappointed as I will need to find a new "go to" jacket.

I will never forget the day. It was the Sunday, 8/3/2014. My wife (who was 6 months pregnant at the time) went to the movies to watch Guardians of the Galaxy, knowing that the theatre is usually chilly, I grabbed Columbia Men's Watertight Jacket for her comfort. Today however would prove to be different as our viewing areas proved to be quite comfortable. Over the course of the next couple hours we marveled (pun intended) at James Gunn's cinematic masterpiece. Later that evening I ventured out to the store and much to my horror, discovered that my beloved Columbia Men's Tall Watertight Rain Jacket, Black/Charcoal, 3XT had been left behind. I called the movie theater, and as I feared it was not turned in. As such, Guardian of the Galaxy well forever have a taint about it due to this personal tragedy. In my attempt to replace the original, I purchased this model...sadly it did not live up to its namesake. It has somewhat of a slim fit, the sleeves were not as long, and elastic had been added to the cuffs. This was a far cry from the original that had seen me through the Rainy Rock on the Range of 2014 as well as so many rainy walks to class and work. So, to anyone from Columbia that may read my review. I beg you to bring back the original design. It was the greatest light jacket I've ever owned.

I got an XL Tall. I am not fat, but I'm 6'5" and have some muscle too me. The sleeves on this thing must be designed for a runners build with tooth pic arms m, because my arms are extremely snug, my forearms to the point that I'm sure I'm going to bust a seam. To wear a long sleeve under this jacket is next to impossible. And the lining pulls out at the endof the sleeves. It is odd because the torso fits perfectly. If you have any kink of muscle on your arms you will want to go up a size! I'm the idiot that ripped off the tags excited to try my new jacket, only to find it was not the right fit... I tried on other jackets in store so I thought I was safe to buy online, but I guess not.

I purchased this rainjacket as a gift for my son, and he was pleased with the quality of the material and the adjustable options with the hood and at the wrists, but, unfortunately, did not like the snug fit around the middle-even though it was the largest size available (he normally wears a 3X to have extra room, but the 4XL left no room to move, so I am returning it. I will be glad to repurchase it if it becomes available in a larger size (5 or 6XL). Also, the site indicated the size as XLT, but the actual label indicated XL. So, for those that like the extra length of an XLT, you might want to reconsider.

I purchased this as a gift for my son who is 6 foot four and 225 pounds. He usually wears an extra large tall for outerwear. however the description said to order a size up. Therefore I ordered a 2XT. However, it is gigantic. It seems larger than other 2X tees that I have seen before. Unfortunately we had to return it.

I dont understand why everything big and tall at Columbia is so short. If they just added a few inches onto the bottom of all their big and tall products, they would be perfect. Until then, they continue to disappoint.

This jacket is very small, different from all my other Columbia Extra Large Tall's - just too small to wear.

Ive ordered another columbia jacket this year, in XLT and it fits fine, I have another columbia jacket similair to this in XLT and it also fits well and functions great, however this one was about 6" short in the sleeves. I'm sure it is of great quality but I was very disappointed in the fit, looking forward to what I can exchange it for

My son and I both purchased this jacket for a two week trip overseas and wanted to make sure we had a good rain jacket. This jacket leaked at the seams during a mild rain and the hood also leaked and is too large. Pulling the hood strings didn't help stop it from covering my eyes.
