Overall the quality of these boots is mediocre. The laces are not very good, I had to replace them after a year (but they needed replacing after about 10 months). The soles have worn down exceptionally quickly, even over periods of light use. The only good thing is that they are very waterproof. On some hikes I was walking through several inches of water for long periods and they kept me dry. For this reason, I plan on fixing them repeatedly until they are no longer able to be saved. So far I've had them for about 3 years. I don't know how much money I've sank into them, but it is substantial.

These boots did not last for me. All though I am very tough on shoes. I work outside everyday and can really put a beating on boots. Normally I can get 6-9 months on a good pair of boots and these did not make it two months. Like the style and fit. Would probably last a longer for someone on a more casual boot type scenario.

Bought these boots just under a year ago, and they leather on the outer-side of one of them ripped. Shoelaces that came with these broke after about a month. Overall they're really poor quality. For while they lasted they did look great, were easy to clean, and were very comfortable. Just the material quality is very low.

My complaint is likely picayune. It is listed as rugged. I will see ultimately when we get to a real Michigan winter. However, from jump, the construction was rather light. The boots are not really rugged in the sense of holding up to rough terrain. Do not buy them with the hope of climbing mountains and hiking tough trails. They look rugged, they are not built for rugged.

I have had these boots for a few weeks ad they have been great. Working at a construction site means that there is a lot to combat with and these boots do the job. I wouldn't say they are heavy duty but they are waterproof although not very warm. They are light weight and stylish. You could wear them casual in the fall or hiking in the summer. For colder weather you might get by with a heavy pair of socks.

Great boots over about three seasons of what I would consider light pedestrian use. Stylish and comfortable for a winter tour of Europe, great for work as a winter boots in an office environment. I had to repair a separated heel (Gorilla Glue) at year 2, but the other heel separated recently in spectacular fashion and was not repairable.

I bought these about three years ago and have used them mostly for walking and camping. They stayed waterproof for about 1 3/4 years. I have wide feet, they are very comfortable. I can still use them in light water conditions, but never where I know it is going to be a long, wet weekend.

Purchased in March. Today, June 15, noticed they are falling apart at the seam. I sure thought Rockport shoes lasted longer than this. Disappointed in my purchase.

These shoes we're easily one of the WORST purchases I've ever made! I originally bought these boots in late December. It is now mid-March, and the soles on the shoes have already worn to the point where water can leak in through the soles. Granted, I walk at least four miles a day, however other shoes/boots have lasted me at least six months, but typically nine months or a year. Beyond not being durable, these were INCREDIBLY uncomfortable. The boots are narrow at the toe, and typically I can only go half a day before my toes/feet are in excruciating pain. The only positives I have with the boots are that they were well-styled and attractive, and they were wonderfully waterproof prior to the wear in the soles causing them to be leaky as a sieve. I am disappointed because Rockport has impressed me, in the past, with their dress shoes which have been attractive and comfortable to wear. Unfortunately, I would NOT recommend these boots to anyone.
