This is exactly what I wanted for my daughter. We love the crocus color. Note: don't choose your size based on age, as suggested. Instead measure your child's head and use this chart which was on the tag of the hat. 20" is a small, 21" is medium, 22 1/2" is large.

This item was a disaster. I ordered this to keep the sun out of my kids hat, especially because he wanted to have one just like his dad's. Of course, I thought that the item could match the quality and durability of the adult hats. To begin with the sizing is completely off. I ordered it in large, and the item matches the circumference of my husband's adult size M. Second of all the brim is a wrinkle mess and looks terrible on. I wish I could upload a picture of it!

I have a very picky child with sensory processing issues and we tried several hats with no luck until I brought this one. She loves it and it handles pool and lake swimming well. It's been though several camping trips and it looks brand new.

I have one I wear on our boat and our daughter wanted one as well and she loves it! She was sad we couldn't get the same color but it turned out to be fine!

The Medium fits 2.5 year old and he loves it. Never takes it off

I purchaser 2 of these for my 7 and 9 year olds. They both like wear them and actually think they are cool. I was worried they would not want to give up there ball caps but I haven't heard any arguments.

This hat is perfect for adventure outdoors with little ones. My 8 year old gladly wears it along with my 3 year old. Beach days, hiking or playing outside it's worked well to give great sun protection.

Great hat, very lightweight, offers good protection and dries easily. Best of all, my child loves wearing it!!

All three of our kids (ages 2, 6, and 8) have this hat. It provides better sun protection than any other kids hat we've tried. The cord keeps it on in windy conditions, it's not too hot even in extreme heat, and the very wide brim keeps its shape even after washing. Size small was just right from about 12 months up. There is nothing cuter than a toddler in this hat.

We love love love these hats. The kids don't object to wearing them, the chin strap and little headband drawstring/cinch makes it a perfect fit even on a windy day, and it provides just the right coverage without being cumbersome. It is foldable to pack, but maintains a nice form. Dries quickly. Super cute. Seriously it's perfect. My kids haven't actually outgrown their medium sized hats yet (ages 3 and 6). But I ordered the next size up just in case OR changes the style or discontinued this item, we love it so much!

I really like these hats. This is my third time getting one (had to size up). They have a nice big brim and stay on well.

Awesome hat. Fits my son who has a large head brilliantly. Love the stiff brim all around. Keeps the sun off but also allows the wind to cool him off. He's thrilled it's such a nice blue colour. Shipped quickly and arrived with no damage.

This hat is excellent, ordered it for my 3 year old so I didn't have to smother his face in sun screen, he looks like a little explorer, highly reccomended

Favourite hat for my kids. Wide brim provides excellent sun protection. Stays on in windy conditions. Great rain protection as well.

Bought this in a small for my 1 yr old daughter because some friends of ours had this for their kids. Fits great because of the bungee cinch cord and will likely fit her for years (tried it on my 4 yr olds head and it just barely fits). The large brim blocks the sun really well but stays stiff (not floppy) so it doesn't block her vision. Seems like it is very durable too and washes clean with water easily.

The youth large is adjustable to fit both my 6 or 9-year-old. I plan to purchase a second one. Looks great too!

Bought these hats for both my kids (1 yr and 3 yr old) and I love them. Nice wide brims and lightweight. The drawstring doesn't keep my little guy from pulling it off his head... but it is so lightweight that the hat doesn't usually bother him.

Everyone in our family of 5 has been wearing these hats for years. My boys' hats lasted 4 years of thorough, near-daily abuse before I decided to get them some new ones (of course I came right back to OR for more) but honestly, the original hats are still around and serve as back-up if we ever can't find one. They adjust wonderfully to accommodate growing noggins (I always order big for the kids so I can cinch it down and then let it out as they grow). They float, retain shape even after getting soaked and water logged, and they don't fade. The brim is a bit wider in the back providing excellent neck coverage. I cannot tell you how much we all love our OR hats. We won't be caught without them!

Love these hats. The brim provides great coverage and doesn't flop at all. The elastic drawcord around the crown really helps these stay on, and I love that the chin strap is removable (since one of my kids likes to chew on it). We Have purchased this hat in all sizes by now it is is so great! Just wish it came in more colours.
