I love them. Very comfortable, especially around the ankle, where a lot of high-tops can chafe the skin. True to size and they hug my narrow foot (I'm female) nicely. I love Vans. The only thing I would change/add is a little more cushion to the sole. Only so I could walk the city for a day and not worry about comfort but that's really not what Vans are for. Love the brown soul to stave off dirt.

So cute! Run a bit big. I'd order a half size down. A little difficult to get on and off due to the high top, but they're not uncomfortable on. Also not the most comfortable shoes I own but they're so cute.

The slim version of the Sk8-Hi has a bit more feminine look than the standard version. These were just what my daughter was looking for. She normally wears a size 3.5 and I got her the size 3.5 men/ 5 women's in these. Vans seems to do their sizing a bit differently, so it is good to try them on in the different styles which tend to fit differently. These fit her well in her standard size. Vans are a good shoe to have in a teen or tween wardrobe as they come in many colors and styles and go with a variety of outfits. They also count as athletic shoes that can be worn in her PE class. She likes to wear them with jeans mainly. This style with the stripe on the side seems to be more popular than the plain version or low top plain versions of Vans. They also have a better construction and more padding than the standard Vans. She has both Vans and Converse Chuck Taylors for mixing up her style. For athletics, Nike is still her go to brand. These are definitely more of a style/casual shoe than athletic shoe.

This was my first pair of Vans and I was pleased to find out they are comfortable. I usually wear a size 9 but it was too big with this shoe. The 8.5 fits great and I am super happy with my choice.

Ordered these in a size 9 although I mostly wear a size 8. I could already tell they were small from just looking at them in the box. I would definitely need a size 10 in these. They are also pretty narrow and I already have a narrow foot. Otherwise the design is beautiful. Too bad they don't fit.

The slim fit of the Vans SK8-Hi Slim is great; it's a perfect low profile shoe. The only drawback was the sizing. I'm normally a size 8 in Women's, but had to order a 7.5 and then a 7 because the shoe is a tad bit on the long side. Hopefully they'll help me improve my long boarding skills!

I've had these shoes for a couple weeks now, and absolutely love them. I ordered them a half-size larger than what I normally wear for a perfect fit. They haven't shown much wear yet. I got them with the rose design, and love how it adds to the shoe without being overwhelming. They are not easy to slip on, but do become more flexible and easy to put on with wear. Perfect casual shoe for work.

I have narrow feet and these fit me so well. I'm excited that Vans has finally made this style geared towards women, because the classics are just too chunky for my taste. My one complaint is that with the canvas pair, the cloth is cut in a way that makes one side of the shoe's tongue bunch up. Ascetically, it's noticeable but my main concern is that over time, the tongue of the shoe will lean to one side making them uncomfortable. (I already have one pair of Vans that does this. It's unbelievably annoying and I'm generally not a picky person.) I HIGHLY recommend that you buy these in store somewhere to make sure you get a pair that aren't cut weird. I originally bought them online and had to return them and go to a store to pick out a pair that were cut better. I went through about 4 pairs before finding the right ones. I don't know if the quality has just gone down for Vans in general or if it's just this shoe. I still love them now that I've replaced the ones with an issue, I just wouldn't suggest purchasing these online.

Super cute Vans and just what I was looking for- the Slim are not as bulky as the classics seem on my narrow foot. They did run half a size large for me. I normally always fit in a 7 but had to return for a 6.5. I do have a narrow foot but it was the length not the width that was too big. Love the gray/pink- neutral with a fun pop of color!

I really love these shoes! The colors are the same as shown in the pictures. They take a bit of breaking into, but it's worth it. You may want to consider getting arch support inserts though.

I really love these shoes. So cute with skirts or skinny jeans. The right shoe rubs my pinky toe a little, but I the than that no complaints. And if you've ever owned Vans before you know there is no arch support.

Didn’t work

I can’t wear these shoes anymore. They hurt my little toes too much. I don’t have a wide foot. But these squished my toes to the point where I started to develop corns. I’ll have to give these away to goodwill. There is zero arch support. You’re basically wearing flats. The design is cute though.

Color could be a little darker

I have been wearing Vans for about 40 years and love them. These SK8 Hi-Slims are narrow. I have purchased the same size all of my adult life and I have to say these were narrow. I had to return them. The color is great but the leather is a little stiff too, almost uncomfortably so. These are the only Vans I have ever returned.

I typically love my Van Hi Tops and have several pairs. I ordered the dark red color, however after a few wears the red dye rubbed off and turned the shoelaces pink. Luckily Zappos was able to refund me quickly. I'm assuming Vans is just using a heavy amount of dye which caused this issue. Bummer, really wanted to like them!

They feel just slightly longer than my pair of regular vans classics, but it doesn't cause any discomfort. It is actual great for what I bought them for--winter shoes. Cheaper than the winterized vans but still warmer than my regular vans. Otherwise comfortable and very cute with skinny jeans.

Wanted to love these but ended up returning them. The leather is very stiff and does not bend of give when you sinch up the laces so the tongue bunches out and is unattractive.
