Customer Reviews High Sierra Loop Backpack

I had a similar High Sierra backpack that my dog unfortunately chewed up. I therefore ordered the new one, & found it to be poor quality compared to my older one (not so old...purchased the 1st one in April this yr). There is less padding both in the back & on the bottom. The fabric itself isn't what the older one was. Tried to return it, but by the time I paid for shipping it back, 1/2 of my investment was gone...Not happy

I purchased this backpack for my daughter to go back and forth to school. She is 10 so she doesn't carry heavy books or a laptop. Within a month the zipper on one compartment was broken and by the end of November the second zipper on the other main compartment was also broken. We paid more for this backpack and was hopeful that she would get a couple of years out of it not a couple of months. When we called for warranty we have to ship it back at our expense for "inspection" only then will they decide if it is a warranty item or not at which point we might have to pay for repair ourselves. A piece of garbage that doesn't hold up and isn't backed by their company. Warranties like this exist to keep customers from returning products so they can produce overpriced cheap goods without ramifications. I won't be buying from this company or Samsonite again.

This is a great quality backpack, however it has no room! I bought this for my Freshman in High School and my Middle School daughter and neither of them can fit anything in it! The main pouch can just about fit my daughters 2-1" binders, a soft covered library book and a 1 subject notebook. If she has any school books to bring home for homework she has to just carry them as what I just listed is the max that we can stuff in. The middle pouch only zips halfway down and is designed to hold what looks like a single magazine? However we do manage to wrestle her lunch bag in only after emptying the main section out first. Then we re-fill it and wrestle the zipper closed, all the while praying to the zipper gods that today won't be the day it breaks! The front organizational pouch again only zips part way making it very hard to use and retrieve anything out of. Great bag if you don't have much to carry around.. if you are looking for room, go for a different style.

throughout the description, no where does it say it's a female bag. now, i felt it's too tight for me around shoulder, but it's too late to return as i already ripped off the tag.
