I love this bag and have loved it for 2 years now. I got this Herschel bag back before Herschel bags were popular and now, they're popping up everywhere! But it's for a reason. This bag especially is perfect. This bag has held up well over the years, including going to Europe and the Caribbean while I studied abroad there. It's a bit dirty now and I did wash it once, but the bottom part the pleather part that's actually eco-friendly, got ruined in the wash. The washing machine spinning part stripped part of the brown off if that makes any sense. That's the only gripe that I have because I've been deathly afraid of washing it ever since because I really do love this backpack and can fit everything I need into it during the school/work day. The laptop sleeve holds my 17" laptop, I saw another review that said their 13" couldn't fit in there which I don't get because my monster laptop is always snuggled in there and always fine. Yeah, about 2 or 3" stick above the end of the padded part, but it's zipped up in my backpack so there's really nothing to worry about, it's not like it's a sleeve you just carry around solo. The sunglasses part is really nice. I'm not always sporting sunnies but when I do, I tuck them in there and they're fine. I usually put my school id, some eye drops or little things in that pocket because it's easily accessible and I always know where they are. This bag includes a little spot for your iPod in the main compartment and an escape for your earbuds so that it can safely be in your backpack but still easy to listen to if you live in an area where you don't exactly want your iPod out all the time. The two other pockets are nice and you can fit what you want in there. There's even a little organization surprise inside the one pocket to put your pens or hide your keys so you're not always searching around for them by accident. I really do love this bag, my only gripe is that I have it in grey and it is showing some wear and tear on it... after all, it has been my solid travel companion and other than the tiny dirt factor, I know this buddy will be around for a while longer... that is if I don't get bored with it and change it to another Herschel backpack, but let's be honest, this is the most functional and I think, attractive one in the family. Good job guys!

Aesthetically this is a really nice bag. I love the look of it, but there are a few seriously bonehead design flaws that have me looking for another back just 6 months later. First, the bottom of the bag isn't real leather. Within a few weeks of owning it, I noticed the pleather finish was already pealing off. Second, the white zipper is really tough to unzip. I suppose this is a good feature for valuables (can't think of any other way Herschel could justify the tightness of the zipper), but it makes one-hand zipping and unzipping nearly impossible. It doesn't sound like a big deal, but you'd be suprised how many times you try to get into the pockets of a backpack with only one hand. Trying to grab your Chapstick while you're driving? Forget about it. Taking notes in class and need a cough drop? Stop what you're doing completely, because you can't do both at once. Overall, it is probably the most stylish backpack out there, but 6 months later, I'm left wanting when it comes to the Pop Quiz.

My son prefers the Herschel Supply Co brand, so I was thrilled to find so many choices at Zappos.com! The Pop Quiz style is his favorite, as it fits his laptop as well as his notepads without being too bulky to carry. We tried other styles, but they were all too small. He loves this one!

This is an awesome backpack. It has a ton of storage (main compartment with laptop storage, sunglasses compartment, and two other zippered pockets). The laptop area and sunglasses area are lined with amazingly soft material and provides great protection. Must have!

Love this backpack. It’s so comfortable even when you have really heavy books and a laptop in there. The shoulder straps are comfortably padded and it has a divider so I can separate my computer from my books.

Love this back pack! It’s the perfect size. My favorite part is the small zipper on top of the bag for the easy access to small items. The zippers are pretty stiff but warming up the more it’s used. The only thing I wish it had was an outside side pocket for a water bottle; there is one inside but it’s small and harder to get to if full.

I bought this backpack like in August of 2015 and the backpack is still functional and sturdy. This backpack underestimate me on its lifespan. (Though I don't recommend getting anything off white because the backpack will shows its age.) The pop quiz backpack in my opinion is the most useful backpack in Herschel. It not only has a padded laptop sleeve but a functional zipper on the front top part of the bag. The front top zipper is perfect for quick things you like to pull out of your bag without digging through much in class for chapstick, phone (fits iPhone 7 plus), hand sanitizer, and whatever you need. There's also a huge double pouch zipper. The straps never lets me down. And there's too many designs to have the same backpack as someone at school.

Ordered this backpack for my college daughter and she just loves it! The color and print are beautiful and the size is perfect for a 5.1 foot petite girl. She especially loves the soft fuzzy pocket that can protect her valuables. I won't hesitate buying Herschel backpacks again!

Overall quality is superb. I use it with my 13in Macbook Pro. Plenty of space and pockets. The zippers require a little more effort to open and close, but not a problem with me.

great knapsack - a ton of pockets and lots of room for all my college textbooks, laptop, charger, planner, etc as well as pens, pencils, wallet, ipod, etc. great, supportive straps that balance the weight well and don't make my back hurt after a long day of classes.

Great pack! Probably the most functional of Herschel packs. Nicely padded laptop sleeve, organization/admin. pocket, sunglasses pouch. It's very versatile and stylish with its understated details. Only thing is why no leather zipper tabs??

This bag is great! The sunglass pocket on the top is actually awesome for holding your phone. It's even lined with a soft fuzzy material. Best feature!Inside is lined with a cute red/white stripe too.

This backpack is amazing! I purchased it for my summer session in college and it honestly is the best bag out there! The video review does not do it justice, it is classic, comfortable and practical. Get it.

I love this bag, but it says on the label that it can hold a 17" laptop, and that is simply a joke. It barely fits my 15" MacBook Pro. I am going to school for photography, so I got it to hold all my equipment and such. The style is great, and it has great organizational compartments (such as a fleece-lined sunglasses compartment - fits my RayBan's perfectly and I can still have them in the case if need be). If you're on the fence about this bag, get it. Just be aware on the whole laptop thing.

Although this backpack is a bit pricey, I wanted to buy it because I liked the look of it, especially with it having a compartment for my laptop. Pros: -The straps are very comfortable and cushioned. It sits comfortably on my shoulders. -Material used to make the backpack is good quality inside and out. -Lots of little compartments that are very convenient. Cons: -The laptop compartment barely fits my 15" Macbook Pro. I have to squeeze and wiggle it in. -The zippers to open the backpack are a little difficult to maneuver at times. It gets slightly annoying, but not too difficult to manage. Overall, I would recommend this backpack. I like the whole look and comfort of it. Just note that it would be better to fit a smaller laptop in the built-in compartment.

The backpack is great for my work travel. It fits my laptop and everything I need to take with me. The only problem I am having is with the zippers. They are very stiff and can be difficult to use. I tried the lead pencil trick but that only seems to work for a little bit.

Ordered this in the black and olive - really liked the quality, construction and aesthetic except - the Hershel label is so big it ruins the look. My own personal preference is I don’t like to feel like a walking billboard - would have kept other than that.

Overall I had high expectations of this backpack, and I can admit that the bag held up to them. The color is just like the one shown and the only thing I would recommend is giving the bag time to get worn in a little. It is slightly stiff at first but within a couple weeks it will be snugger. It holds a couple of my textbooks and gets me around campus. I have yet to use the laptop compartment but it is well designed and I see myself using it in the future. My only concern was the price, although the bag is sturdy it was still slightly overpriced.

I bought and used this backpack for a trip to Italy. I needed something light but sturdy with a good bit of compartments. This definitely fit the bill and I am a fan of the simple style and design.

Cute, durable, comfy straps but the zippers are ridiculous. Very stiff and hard to unzip...doesn't fit my 15 inch laptop and the laptop sleeve is extremely thin. will be returning.

I gave this to my husband for his birthday and he absolutely loves it. He uses it to commute to work. The quality is great and it's just the right size for 13" laptop, small lunch, and everything else he needs to carry to work.

My oldest daughter bought this bag midway through her HS years and it is her go-to bag, perfect size, color and design. My younger daughter is starting HS and wanted the same one, different color. I would say this is a great size for petite bodies, too.

Cool and classic backpack. My 6th grader loves this.
