Let me see how to properly say this..... the bottle opener on the sole is the DUMBEST idea I have seen for a product in my entire life! 1st off, any true beer drinker can get the top off his bottle of beer, trust me on that! Even if he was stranded naked in the Aleutian Islands, he would figure it out! Secondly, what a liability issue for a company who made the product! I hope Reef has a good team of lawyers on staff when the customer walking in this shoe with the "built-in metal hook" on the sole grabs something on the ground and he goes down face-first! (For example: a boat gunnel, a metal grate, a nail sticking up a 1/2" on a wooden boardwalk, etc., a funny-shaped rock, etc., etc., etc!) Dumbest idea ever! Now I know why it was the only model Reef sold in size 15! Experiment on the smallest segment of the shoe-buying public!

Sandals arrived and they were perfect for the first week. After the first week the front part of the right sandal is already starting to come apart. I have maybe worn these five times before breaking.

thin and cheaply made. not at all what I expected for $60, and far below the quality of other pairs I've purchased from Reef. I saw these in a store but they didn't have my husband's size. So shocked at the difference in quality for the same SKU.

Not the same anymore. I had these exact sandals and they were very comfortable so I reordered again but this time they were not comfortable at all and they are not the ones in the picture. The pair I got last time matched what the picture looks like exactly but these don't at all and they hurt my feet right away. They say they are the Draftsman but they are different sandals from what I bought before.

So it's tough to say anything negative or positive about these, other than I got them and couldn't fit my feet into them! I either got the wrong gender (I'm assuming these are gender nuetral?) or I have some wide feet. I'm a skinny guy and my feet envelope these. I told a friend that these were "blobbing out" as it turned my foot into a cankle. I really love the look, but alas, I'm not so skinny that I could hula hoop through a cheerio, nor wear these things. Back to the old drawing board with these :D (sorry reef but this is a miss).

The Reef Draftsman is a perfect example where a company has forsaken quality and aesthetics to save on costs, perhaps for a new CEO holiday villa. I purchased my first Reef Draftsman in 2009 for roughly the same cost as today. They were an amazing sandal! Great quality and lasted for seven years of constant wear. Naturally, I wanted a new pair but sometime between 2009 and 2017, the Reef Draftsman fell off a cliff. To a discerning eye, one can tell the materials now used are inferior. The style is in my opinion not as pleasing and there is a silly bottle opener on a more inferior quality sole. Perhaps ownership changed hands or there was a lapse in judgement within the design team or whoever makes such decisions. To trash the Draftsman, they must think their customer base is obtuse or don't really care if they do notice. And that leads me to wonder what other models they are denigrating? I hope the top dogs enjoy their new luxuries enabled by cutting corners. I'll never buy Reef again.

These used to be great sandals (owned two pairs previously). I loved the simple style and all leather band and sole lining. However the quality in the sole has gone down hill. I've had these for two weeks and it looks like I've warn them for two years. The heal is literally worn out after two weeks of normal wear. I'm 5'10 and 150 lbs with a size 10. So tall and lanky. My new ones look like my old ones. There is no way this is a 'form fit' this is straight worn out. Very disappointed with Reef.

I love Reefs and was looking for a sturdy pair of leather flip flops. These looked perfect. I'm a diver and a surfer and live in my flops so I was hoping these would stand up much better than the traditional fabric ones. Sadly I've had these for just under a month and they're already falling apart. I was really disappointed and I don't think I'll be purchasing Reefs again any time soon. I would not recommend these to anyone who plans on wearing them more than once every couple weeks. The customer service team at Zappos was great and helped me figure out a replacement pair.

So I ordered these because they looked great online, but when they arrived they were nothing like the picture. They looked more like canvas than leather. Quickly returned.
