This is just beautiful. I purchased this in the tea color because I felt It would look and feel cool and airy in the Texas Summer heat! Also, it will be super fun and easy to mix it up with light textural layering pieces to get the gorgeous boho look I adore. For Spring slip on your short boots, a light as air embroidered wrap or Pancho and cinch it over the dress with a great belt! Try twisting and tying a knot on the side near your waist to give some carved out definition to your waist. When paired with awesome underpinnings and light layering pieces, (and of course, the right accessories!), this can be the base for an amazing festival dress! But the simplicity of slipping it over a pair of shorts, makes it a quick summer outfit, that still manages to be uniquely you! Have fun and rock the true you in this amazing dress! No regrets here, and I look forward to more inspiring pieces from Free People (and buying from Zappos is just a given! Zappos, you are awesome!)

I LOVE this dress. It definitely needs a slip or long tank under it, and is prolly more the length of a tunic than a dress for us more mature aged ladies, but it’s adorable and looks great in pics.

It is ok but not what I expected. First of all size down! I am 5.1' and 145lb and usually wear M, but this fits in S plus gives me some extea room. This dress is not as flowy as I expected. The fabric is see through and quite stiff. You really need something underneath...either something undelining or a tank top if you chose to wear it with pants/legings.

Awesome dress! A bit see through so wear a slip under. Wore with tights and boots and was super cute!

Loved it...fun to wear, but the lace is cheap and rips easily...too easily for something this expensive.

i bought this beauty for my son's girlfriend for her birthday (along with two other lovely dresses). She LOVED it. Truthfully she looks good in everything. She's tiny, a size 2 and beautiful. But I know this piece would be a wonderful addition to any woman's wardrobe. It's feminine. It's funky. And it's got a touch of vintage too. Just lovely. I got her an xs (in black) and it was perfect. The 'gray' lace accents have almost a hint of violet so it's not drab-looking at all. So versatile, I think she will enjoy layering it over existing pieces.

Love this! So cute with leggings and tall boots. I wear it with a short cardigan at night to dress it up. Very comfortable. Love Free People. Have many pieces.

Love these slips for layering! My favorite way to wear this is with a cozy sweater and tall boots. It's very versatile and the little ruffles at the bottom add something fun and feminine to any outfit. The price is the same at Free People, but the customer service and free/fast shipping at Zappos is much better.

Anybody who owns and wears one of these little slip dresses, can attest to how cute, stylish, flattering and versatile they are. The blackberry color was my latest addition to a fall wardrobe. Can't wait to wear it!

There's so many people on here saying this can't be worn as a dress or you should be arrested for indecent exposure if you wear it as a dress, but they're wrong. I'm 5'7" and wear the size XS as a dress. It covers everything just like it does on the models, I'm not exposed. I'm a 32A though and typically wear a size 2. I think bust size makes a difference because a bigger bust will pull the dress up and make it appear shorter. I recommend if you have a bigger bust to size up 1 or 2 sizes, then this dress will be longer on you. This is my favorite piece from Free People though because it's so pretty and versatile. It works perfectly as both a dress and a tunic. I own 4 of these already and I literally want every color. If you are on the fence about buying this, don't wait anymore, buy it. You'll love it! Just keep in mind what I said above about the sizing.

This item is absolutely amazing. I got the Tea color which was slightly more yellow than expected. I can wear it as a dress, with shorts underneath, over leggings, with jeans, under a large sweater, with boots, wedges, or flats. It goes with everything! I am 5'2" and 115 pounds and got the XS, it's a slight baggy look which based on the model is how it should fit.

I love this. It is super cute and flattering even with a few extra pounds on. It is loose and flowy around the body but the chest and shoulders are a nice cut that will not fall off. I will order a couple more in other colors. The medium fits great on a busty 5'6", 150 pound woman.

I'm 5'6" and a size small. This dress in a small was perfect. I wore a pair of short jean shorts under it for a concert and it was perfect! When I wear it to the beach it will just be a swimsuit cover up.

I love this article of clothing! It's like a go to piece to wear with jeans, shorts, leggings. I'm not sure I'd wear it as a dress and I'm only 5'2". I am busty (34D) 130 lbs and I wear a small very comfortably!

Favorite Free People Piece! I ordered a small in the tea combo and I am so pleased with my purchase. I am 5"2 120Ilbs. The small is very lose but that is the style of the dress. The extra-small fit me well, but I lost a lot of length. The slip is sheer so I suggest buying the free people cami slip if you plan on wearing this by itself as a dress. Perfect for summer and I also plan on using mine as a swimsuit cover-up!

Love this piece! It's good alone, with a cardigan, or laid. It can really make you use your clothes in new ways! I am 5'-5", 125 lbs, small chest, and the xs is a good fit. The small was too big. I went back and forth between the white and tea and eventually chose the tea because it is more interesting, and will look more unique when I wear it with black. I will definitely get it in other colors! It does need a tank, slip or shorts of some sort under it. I hate that it costs what it does but I am overall happy with it.

Fit and cut are good, design is very cute. This item is not lined, and see-thru. But that's ok with me, I layer a lot usually anyway, but it's better to know that before you get it!

Super cute, however completely see-through lace throughout. It would only be good for a swimsuit coverup.

I am sure that this is adorable if you are shaped like the model, and obviously many people love this design. However, I did not realize that "feminine" design meant wide and curvy through the hips, which means that if you wear a large, as I do, the hips are VERY wide and the hem lays very funny as there is a lot of material there. If I had sized down from my usual large, it would have been too small in the chest. I have a typical hourglass shape and usually wear about a size 10. It was very comfortable and looked well made and would have made an adorable nightgown, but for the price, I had hoped to use it as a dress/slip as intended. Had to return. So glad others liked it! If you wear a small, give it a try!

I bought this "dress" for my teenage daughter. Sadly, it really is a slip. It has bands of lace that are completely see through, meaning something has to be worn under it both top and bottom. I was hoping for an airy summer dress, but this is a little too impractical and would lose the airiness I was going for with another layer underneath it. Also, the ivory combo color is actually ivory with gray dots.

One of my favorite pieces. Wear it as a cover up and also put with high waist biker shorts and sports bra or cami.

I love this dress. I have owned it in black for many years. I had to return this one, however, because it did not come in a Large. While the Medium is plenty roomy in the body, it is too short for my rather tall height.
