I am totally dependent on this sneaker for my everyday and all occasion wear! Although I have a narrow foot, I use a 6.5 wide because it is wide enough to allow me to insert my orthotics that compensate for one leg shorter than the other. First, I modify the removable insole that comes with the sneaker. I simply cut away any parts of the removable insole that are vertical and replace the insole, under my orthotic. I am on my feet all day, and love these sneakers so much that I buy 2-3 pair at a time to be sure I have them! Older sneakers become gardening sneakers for a season. The toe box takes a day or two of usage to stretch out before my toes are completely comfortable, but that's not a problem. The lace hole arrangement allows me to get a snug fit in the right places to accommodate my narrow heel in a wide shoe. I am grateful this sneaker exists as it works so well with the orthotics to keep me in balance.

These shoes fit great on my flat wide feet. They seem to be very sturdy so I expect to keep them for a few years as long as the leather is cared for. I tried the Saucony walking shoes but sent them back because the forefoot narrows at the front which would cause rubbing at the little toes. The NBs are a bit more boxy, however, they look as good as any other white walking shoes.

I walk for exercise and I have found that New Balance shoes are the best walking shoe for me. I have very narrow feet with narrow heels and New Balance AA shoes work for me. I look for models that have an SL2 last. They are durable, well made and I get a lot of miles out of each pair. I sometimes add arch supports as the shoes get older. When they are too worn for walking, I use them for gardening.

I needed an extra wide EE. Zappos was the only place that got them for me in a very short time. I am really pleased with the service.

I need a wide shoe, and these feel comfortable. I especially like that I could get them in black so I can wear them to work with my dress slacks and the don't stick out as athletic shoes.

These sneakers are great walking shoes. It really makes a difference to walk in a shoe made for the job. My studio shoes are great for zumba, but these shoes are what I need for a trouble free three mile walk. They are worth every penny.

These are my new gym shoes. I forget I'm wearing them while working out. A small thing to some, but major to me! It's so difficult for me to find comfortable shoes. They feel a little short, but okay.

Very comfortable shoes and hard to find size. I wear these to work everyday and they are great! I have to wear an arch support because of a foot injury and this size is perfect.

At first, the shoes felt tight, and I was afraid that I would have to return them. However, I tried them another day, and they felt better. My left foot doesn't feel as good as the right one when I have to walk long distances, but I have very flat, pronated feet, and my orthotics are old. All in all, I am pleased with these shoes. They are comfortable, and my feet feel supported. I can't find any nice black casual shoes that fit me comfortably to wear to work, but these blend pretty nicely with casual pants at work. I would recommend these shoes.

I love these shoes. I bought a more expensive New Balance sneaker and was very disappointed. I have a wide foot in the front but not in the back. These shoes let my toes move the way they are supposed to move. Good support on the ankles, too.

The toe box on these is especially roomy. It's rather rounded, and so they end up being kind of 'nurse-looking' but my toes love the space. Could wish for a little more squish-factor, but I think these will wear well.
I'd also recommend:
New Balance WX623 are less nurse-looking

I have small and narrow feet, and have found, over the years, that women's sneakers fit me better than men's. My recent experience with New Balance products has been a positive one. I have had a couple of pair of WW577 and find them to be an excellent fit, and they stay that way as they begin to wear. Highly recommended!

These are the only walking shoes that fit my narrow feet. I could use them even a little narrower in the heel, but they work. If only they had a little more style!

Fit was exact. Shoes looks very wide though my size is narrow but once on they feel perfect, even after 12 hour shift. Excellent shoe, great price.

Like most New Balances, these are nice, solid shoes, that are decent-looking for something so practical, but my narrow feet almost swam in them, unless I wore two pairs of socks. And, like almost all narrow sizes, they are much too wide in the heel.

I am a big fan of New Balance sneakers and leave me slighty disappointed. They are a little stiff and hurt the top of my foot. The pain seems to go away as I'm wearing them but I am relieved to get them off at the end of the day. I will buy another pair of new balance and try again!

I use these shoes for walking on the treadmill. The shoes squeaked for approx. the first two weeks that I wore them. I think the squeak was coming from the tongue of the shoe. Otherwise, the shoe is comfortable and I have not had to place a heel insole in the shoe.

This shoe is everything I'd expected. The width and depth provide ample room for an additional Spenco insole, which I'd recommend to anyone who is overweight.
I'd also recommend:
NB927 is a sturdier model. An excellent shoe.

I've been wearing size 8.5 New Balance for years, but this pair is a tad short and I think it needs to go back.

Years ago, I swore by NB shoes, but in recent years they never had enough room in the toe box. I keep hoping I'll get a pair of NB that fit like the old ones did. This pair and another pair I bought, did not fit the way I hoped.
