I have tried several different Olukai flip flops. These are my favorites because first, I love the embroidery on the footbed -- so cute! The colors are great. I ordered Dune, but the red and blue colors are very pretty (they are much darker in person -- red is more wine and blue is darker). Second, the straps on this flip are very smooth. The part between your toes is leather, so that's something to consider whether it will bother you. The Kumu has fabric there, and they are very similar to this shoe. One thing I have finally discovered with Olukai shoes is that I have to size up. I normally wear a 7.5. I don't have a wide or narrow foot. I have narrow ankles but a bit wider across my toes, but not overly so. I don't have long toes, though. When I tried the 7 (in many different Olukais) the arch just did not hit me right. It was a little bit too far forward, but I couldn't slide my foot any farther forward because my toes are short. The 8 is a bit long beyond the toes, but it isn't bad. The arch hits me in the right spot, though. So, if you have short toes and are in between, size up. If you have longer toes, you'll probably be fine sizing down. The length was fine in the 7, but the arch just didn't hit me right. Olukai says on their website that's how you determine your size -- the one where the arch hits in the right spot. The straps are more snug on the 7 and will probably stretch. I just hope they don't stretch too much on the size 8. I also tried the Haiku, Kumu, and Ohana. The Haiku was too narrow on me and just shaped a bit weird, so if you have a narrow foot, you might try that one. The Kumu fit close to the Paniolo, but the straps were a bit rougher, plus they are a little wider as well. That one does come in nice colors, including pewter (metallic). The Ohana also felt good, but it does have a much higher arch. So, if you need a higher arch, try that one. That's the one where I really felt the arch was in the wrong place. I haven't gotten to wear my Paniolos much because I ordered the wrong size, but wearing them around the house they feel great. I expect some breaking in, but that is going to be the case with almost any leather shoe. I have never spent this much on a pair of flip flops, but as a stay at home mom, I wear them all the time, so it's worth it. I can't wear cheap shoes with no support. I am a runner and used to good support in my running shoes. These have very good arch support. I put medium just because the Ohanas have more. I highly recommend the Paniolo, but I recommend all Olukai shoes. You just have to find the right ones for your feet and allow some break-in time.

I called customer service twice before purchasing these sandals. I am an exact 7.5, narrow. I had tried them on in the store where they use the Euro sizes (printed on the shoe). The customer service people did not have that info and both of them told me to size up to the 8. I ended up ordering two pair, a 7 & an 8. Turns out Zappos 7 is Euro 37 & Zappos 8 is Euro 38. I am keeping the Zappos 7. It grips my foot tighter and my heel is right at the end of the sandal. In the size 8, my foot had more room both at the top and bottom. Arch support worked for me on both sizes, I have a high arch.

Beautiful sandals! I wear a size 8.5 - 9 US in most shoes and I have wide feet. My Ohanas are size 8 and I went with an 8 in the Paniolos too. The fit is perfect. (I tried on the size 9 at a boat show and they felt too big and floppy.) My heel comes almost to the back edge and my pinky toes do not hang over the sides. The toe strap was a little tight at first, but I expected this. After a few days of wear, the toe strap fit perfectly. The arch support feels a bit more moderate than the Ohana, but still very supportive and a pleasure to walk in all day. Looking forward to many years of wearing these beautiful sandals, alternating with my Ohanas, ‘Eheu, and Kulupa Kais. Love my OluKais! The only brand of sandal that my picky feet LOVE to wear.

Saw these in a store last summer and just bought them for spring vacation this year. And I love them! I wear "Reefs" and these are just are just as comfy and so much cuter! Construction seems good and the 8 fits perfectly. I was worried the stitching on the footbed would bug me but it doesn't.

This is my second pair of Olukai Paniolos. I work in retail on very hard floors and I found them to be super supportive and comfortable. Unlike most flips I can wear them all day!

These sandals are the best flip flops I've owned. I have two pairs. I normally wear a 7 1/2 and the 7 fits perfectly. No break in period and are very comfortable. A bit pricey for a leather flip flop but long lasting and worth the price.

This is my second pair of Paniolo\'s; I have them in black, too. The red color is subtle enough to act as a neutral, and the gold embroidered insole is stunning. They definitely are flip-flops, but very attractive ones. I wear them with skirts to work all the time, and get lots of compliments. They provide excellent cushioning with a nice arch support. These two pairs are my go-to sandals for humid summer weather. I\'ve also gotten them very wet with no visible damage.

I was really excited to try these, but when I tried them on the straps were really loose and the foot bed was slipper, making it really hard to even walk. The toe post is pretty uncomfortable as well. Needless to say, these are getting sent back. If you have fatter feet, these will probably be fine for you, but otherwise, no.

I originally bought these flip flops in a size 9 because the size 8 felt to tight (I have high arches and insteps). I wore the 9 for a month and unfortunately, the leather stretched so much that they were uncomfortable to wear. I bought the size 8 and am much happier. After just a day of wear, the straps have stretched enough to be comfortable. The stitching on the sole isn't noticeable. In fact, it helps to keep the shoe from getting sticky on the bottom of my foot. They're comfortable right out of the box and shouldn't require much break in, unless you're not used to wearing thong type sandals. The arch support keeps these sandals comfy and prevents foot fatigue when you'll be walking around for long periods of time. Overall, this is a great purchase! I'll also visit the OluKai website to purchase additional colors.

Excellent shoes as always from this brand. My only complaint is the color is much darker than they appear in the photos. I was expecting an ivory taupe and they are much darker in person, closer to a brown. I’m having them colored as I bought them to wear in my wedding and already had the roses made in ivory for them. Great high arch support and sure footing soles with leather footbed make them a fantastic shoe. My third pair.

Worth the extra dollar. This my second pair of Olukai's flip flops. They are well constructed, comfortable, and supportive than a regular pair of flips.

Love the design and the color. The arch support is great, one of the best things about the Olukai sandals.

These sandals are nice looking, comfortable, and don't turn the soles of your feet black like rubber flip flops. They can be worn with shorts, pants or a skirt and are comfortable enough to wear all day long. The colours are attractive, and they have a great design on the foot bed. All in all, I'm very happy with this purchase.

Beautiful shoes (I got seagreen). One of the shoes I received had cracked and scratched leather, so I will be sending it back, but I have already ordered the same pair. They were comfortable from the second I put them on, the width was just enough (if you have really wide feet these might not work - I have wide, but not very wide, feet). The arch hit me in exactly the right place and I found the leather center comfortable (although I did not walk more than a few feet with them). The sizing was accurate.

This is my third pair of OluKai flips. While somewhat pricey, they are well worth the price and are the best, most comfortable flips ever. I have a wide foot and could use a tiny bit more width, but they are still okay. The stitching is beautiful too.

I wanted to revise my previous review. I actually ended up keeping the size 7 (I wear a 7.5) because the straps on the size 8 were just too loose on my feet. So, if you have short toes and wider feet, size up, but otherwise, you might still want to size down. The straps will stretch because they are leather. I love these flips! They are super comfortable (now that I've worn them a while) and cute!

Loved these! But unfortunately, will return them. They rubbed my foot raw where the toe strap meets the top strap (within a half hour wearing in my house). I normally wearing 7.5 to an 8, but the 8 also seemed a bit too long (too much space in front of my toes). I am so sad! They had nice arch support & were so pretty but am going to send them back.

Excellent shoe, however, it takes a little getting used to! Runs slightly larger in the top strap portion compared to other standard flip flops! Beautiful detailing, fabulous construction! I definitely would recommend these to any flip flop lover!

I purchased these to wear on vacation in Mexico. They were a little stiff at first - I probably should have worn them around home a bit first. But the leather softened up soon enough and I love them. Excellent arch support. Plenty of cushion. True to size. Great quality. Very attractive. A bit expensive for a flip flop, but definitely worth it as I am sure they will last for years. I bought the black this time but it comes in a variety of cool colors and I am sure I will be buying the red and the turquoise if they are still available.
