They're comfy, nice style, good for walking anywhere. But I've had them for no more than a month and the material that holds the piece the strap wraps through ripped. It instantly became a shoddy flip flop.

GREAT FOR BEACH TRIP - RUBBING FROM FRONT STRAP BECAUSE THERE IS A BUMP UNDER THE STRAP REQUIRED WEARING BAND AIDS OVER THE AREA TO PREVENT CHAFFING AND BLISTERS

These were fine while they lasted, but the right one broke and separated from the footbed after about 6 months of very gentle use. I've had a number of Teva sandals over the years but will never buy another Teva product after this experience.

I like the sandal but unfortunately I will not be purchasing any more. I bought a pair in 2013 and had to return them because one of the straps came out of the sole. Not a big deal since it had been less than a year and Zappos took the return. I figured just a fluke or manufacturing defect of this pair only. Replaced it with the same version Teva Katavi and have been using them for about a year. Today the side strap pulled out of the sole similar to the first pair I owned. Functionally the sandal looks almost new with very little wear except for the strap. Bummer, I like the style and the comfort but I cant continue to purchase a sandal that only lasts a year. Im going to look for a more durable sandal

Was already a happy owner of the comfortable (and ugly) classic Tevas and bought these sandals expecting the same level of comfort and function with a more "stylish" look. These are not the same. As other reviewers note, the straps chafed my feet the point of drawing blood and the grip on the sole of these sandals left me slipping and sliding on rocks and wood that my old Tevas would have otherwise stuck to without issue. Unfortunately, I cannot return these as they've been used. I will continue to use my ugly old classic Tevas; these are going right in the trash.

so heres two things i hated.that little neoprene triangle on the inside of the ankle. on the top edge, it had a tendency to curl inward and chafe. i cut it off. worst part? the straps. they are not webbing like other models. i took them on a couple creekwalks, and the strap broke under my heel and i had to hike in essentially flip flops all the way back. NOT for hiking, creeking, or anything like that. find ones made out of webbing. luckily, i did not throw away my other sandals. those tevas have been taking abuse for 16 years and still going. just shoe goo the sole back on.

I wanted to love these sandals! These are extraordinarily comfortable sandals. The ONLY sandal I have ever been able to wear all day and at the end of the day my feet don't hurt. They are roomy; I like the large toe and extra space in them to help with uneven terrain or to keep things like gravel from under your foot like happens with narrower sandals. The straps don't cut into your feet. They are, or seem to be, wonderful. BUT, they stink!! I have heard the same thing from other people. After a brief time of wearing them, they produce a foul odor. I have NO foot odor with any other shoes, boots, running gear, or other footwear. There is something in the material that seems to react with hot feet and creates a stench that has other people wrinkling their noses; such as in a warm room with a crowd at work, or in a closed car. Dude, they stink! I would rate these a 5* all the way for fit, feel, comfort, style --- but I cannot recommend a sandal to a person that will ultimately embarrass them! Other sites have offered similar criticism. Really nasty! A competitor to this site stopped selling them!
I'd also recommend:
Not sure. Perhaps the old standard --- Birkenstocks

This is a great sandal except for the strap that is by your toes, whatever stitching that is holding the padding on digs into you and wears away they skin...painful. Wish they would come up with a reissue of theoriginal terradactyl or terra fi they were comfortable and lasted for 5 summers...the newer versions made now are either too narrow or just uncomfortable...why mess with a good thing...i have been wearing tevas for 20 years...im trying to find another brand because i havent found a comfortable new pair of tevas yet..

Generally love Tevas - my husband has several pairs. Bought these for his birthday and sad that the strap/clip on rubs the top of his foot. He has tried loosening and tightening but still rubs.

Unfortunately, this product did not work out for me. I tried for several days, in the house, to get comfortable with the shoes but they never did feel good to me. I returned them and am waiting for the refund now.

This is my first pair in approximatley 4-5 yrs. Not sure what model my old pair are, but compared to this new model I would rather have the old. The sole does not conform to the feet and the straps make for a tight fit even though they're adjustable. Wore to Lalapalooza this past weekend and ended up with severe ankle pain after a lot of walking over two days. Just don't seem as comfortable as my old pair that is why I have been wearing the old for 4-5 yrs. Love Teva but not this model.

Buyer beware. I purchased these for a specific task: daily morning dog walks in the park through dew-wet grass. These seemed ideal for that. After 6 weeks of this light use, one of the leather strips that moor the front strap on the right shoe to the sole came out; the glue didn't hold. I just fixed it myself with some gorilla glue. Now, two weeks later, both strips on one side of the front strap of the left shoe came out! I had to walk home with one shoe slapping around on my foot like some cartoon hobo. After manufacture-and given that the fit is comfortable and supportive-I think the only objective of a shoe is to not fall apart. I can’t remember owning another product that failed such a modest objective. I don’t know their reputation for quality but I knew that Teva is a well-known brand so I thought I would be fine. I now see that I would have been better served by a knock-off brand at half the price.
I'd also recommend:
Not Tevas, that's for sure.

These are a far cry from the Katavi sandals I purchased four years ago. Mine are finally starting to wear out after a tremendous amount of abuse.I was very disappointed in the pair I just received. Quality is nowhere near the old pair. Much more plastic and shoddy workmanship. Looks like something I would find at a Shoe Carnival store. As another reviewer noting about a slightly different current Teva sandal, looks like I'll have to spend about double (ECCO) to get the same quality as before. Wonder what the markup is on a pair of $130 sandals?

I'm sure my husband will love them if he ever gets them. We had to send them back on 6/11/16 because they were too big. We are still waiting..........and waiting...............and waiting. The exchange process is WAY TOO LONG! It is now 6/22/16. We have talked to countless people and no one has any idea when we are going to get them. Poor customer service. I will be putting this on YELP.

i bought a pair of Teva sandals approx. 15 years ago. The velcro was replaced was the only repairs made on these sandals. The tread is now wearing out so being some what brand loyal i attempted to purchased another pair of Teva sandals. i will tell you that the current brand is not what i purchased the first time and have since returned both attempts to purchase a Teva sandal. i do appreciate the free return policy. thanks but you have lost a loyal customer

I ordered a replacement pair after I wore out my previous ones. I ordered the EXACT same item; however, Terva changed the size. The new ones were grossly smaller. I can'y purchase your product anymore.

Nothing against this one, but not a patch on the Teva model I was trying to replace. The one I had for the last 4 years or so, and loved tremendously, had a closing that was a whatchamacallit - a thing that plugs into the other end and snaps in. This one - and all the others Teva sandals on the website - have Velcro or similar closings, which are a pain. Why oh why did you discontinue the model I want ?

I have owned a pair of River Wraptors for several years and have found them to be extrodinarily comfortable even right out of the box. These new sandals, however, wore through the skin behind my big toe almost immediatly. I wore them for one evening only. They are NOT the same quality of the River sandals. I sincerely hope you will bring the River Wraptors back. I would return these new sandals except I suspect I have worn them too much for a return. I'm sorry for this review as Teva has many great products. These are not one of them.
