I had an online-chat with a Zappos rep who told me I would probably be okay with 7's since that's what I usually wear in Uggs but I returned them for the 8's. If I ever wanted to wear socks with them (I usually do!) they would be too tight. When I put the Ugg Dakota bottoms (size 8) against my Ugg bottoms (size 7) it was almost the same size. When I did that with the Ugg Dakota in size 7 it was way smaller. I know this is a little confusing but I hope this helps because I couldn't find a review like this to help me. Love my Uggs!

Several Dakota lovers mentioned the tie coming loose. Try wetting the knot only, the leather tightens and I haven't had them come undone since!

So cozy! I was hesitant about spending so much on a pair of slippers. When I saw that you can replace the lining on the bottom I felt better about the price. Have to say that they are so Comfy I keep walking out of the house and forgetting to take them off! My 3 and 4 year olds also find them comfy and have asked Santa to bring them some - and he will! Size wise I am a 7 1/2 normally and ordered an 8 - they fit great! Oops! Almost forgot to mention Zappos awesome service! Love you guys!

We bought these mocs for my mom who wears a 7.5 shoe. I initially bought the 8 because the 7 was out of stock. She wore them around the house for about a week and her foot started slipping out. As soon as the 7 came back on stock, I ordered and of course it arrived the next day because being a VIP at Zappos is just that cool. The 7 fit perfectly because the fluffiness of the fur settles in. If you are between sizes I would recommend the smaller size based on my mom's experience. We weather proofed the suede and she is officially obsessed!

I thought the Ansley would be my slipper but after buying both the size 8 and 9 in the Ansley, I still was not happy. I tried the Dakota in the 9 and instantly knew it was the shoe for me. I am typically between an 8 and 8-1/2 but the 9 was perfect. Love the pewter color too, although I think the actual color is a little lighter than pictured. Very happy overall.

Order 1/2 size up ... I’m size 7.5 ; first time i order size 7.. it was too tight so, i return to size 8. That’s perfect !!

I got these UGG slippers in red last winter 2010 around Christmas. Initially I loved them. The laces were a little hard to keep tied but other than that they were nice looking, plush and very comfortable. They started to look worn and a little grubby within a month or so of regular (in home) wear. I wore them for a few months and then stored them in the spring when the weather got warm. I got them out late fall 2011 and wore them a few times and the top stitching began unraveling on one of the pair. I was very disappointed. I thought spending this money I would get at least a few seasons out of them. I won't buy them again.

I've been eyeing up these shoes for a while, and finally decided it would be a good investment. As of right now they are very comfortable, while at first they were a little snug. I originally ordered two sizes (a 7 and an 8, because I'm normally a 7.5) because many reviews said to size up, but I was still skeptical. Luckily, the 7 fit me perfectly, despite other reviews. They're more fitted, but if you were looking for something more relaxed, I would recommend getting a half size larger. Overall, the shoes are really cute, and are even better looking in person. I love them!

Had worn the Dakota for many years, occasionally refreshing them with a new sheepskin insole, but always not liking the tie. They ‘re still okay, just beat up and looking bad, so I use them for trips to the mailbox and as driving slippers. I wanted a new pair of ‘good’ so decided to try the Ansley (no tie) but ended up returning them because they were too shallow (heel slipped out) and didn’t fit as well overall as the Dakota. Now I’ve ordered the Dakota again, this time in the navy blue which I love, and am not disappointed. I’ve just learned to tie the laces in a kind of square-knot. Wet the laces first and then tie. Bought my usual size 9 and they were fine length-wise. Everything is a little wide on my narrow foot, and they stretch out when the sheepskin is flattened down and the shoe expands, but you learn to make do. UGG ought to sponsor a sweepstakes where the prize is a number of different UGG styles made specifically for my foot. Hate that they’re made in China, but even my old pairs from over a decade ago were made there. Also surprised that UGG continues to put that UGG label directly on top of the insole where it hits the bottom of the foot. People have been complaining about that for years.. So much for UGG being responsive to the consumer. It was a very difficult chore to remove those labels.

Purchased these in size 9 for my size 8 1/2-9 daughter. Her heel slips out the back. Odd because toe does go nearly to end of slipper. Tried to tighten lace, but now it is a mess and keeps coming undone. Thank goodness, Zappos is sending us a smaller size. Hopefully her heel will not slip out. Very cute shoes for Teens.

I'm so obsessed with the purple, I think I am going to have to buy another pair because I fear I will wear out the first pair...and they are so comfortable that I keep wanting to wear them out, so I figure I should make one pair my house slippers, another pair for wearing out! I am a size 5.5-6, and I got a size 6. They will definitely stretch out a bit as the shearling packs down. The only thing with my current pair is some fleece missing near the pinky toe on my right shoe, so it rubs on my toe pretty badly, so I might look at getting them repaired by Ugg. When you get your pair, feel around the inside toe seams to make sure you do not have the same problem.

Super cute! These are great, but I found it odd that a size 9 had a much thicker insole especially in the heel area than size 8. I am a true 8.5, 9s fit comfy right away and may be fine for those who use them for in house only, but in my case I want to wear them barefoot only and outdoors mostly, then order up...so I consider myself lucky to be in between sizes, because they will stretch I assume about 1/2 size? And I want to be able to wear these without them slipping off my heel. So if you consider the stretch that moccasins are known for (see Minnetonkas), then really they are 1/4 to 1/2 size too large since I am 8.5 and 8 is perfect for me though at first a bit snug.

This is my first pair of Uggs, and they are the best! I normally wear an 8½ or a 9 depending on the shoe, so I ordered these in a 9, and they fit perfectly. From the moment I put them on, they were so soft and warm. They look great with my skinny jeans too. They are so comfortable that I almost forget I have them on. These are worth the investment.

Same comfort level as my classic ugg boots. I wear size 7.5 in many shoes and sandals but size 8 in athletic shoes. The size 8 fit perfectly; size 7 was uncomfortably tight.

I love these slippers! I wear these to school almost every day, they are so fuzzy and warm. The color I got was Neon Violet, which is quite bright and sparkly but they are really fun and cute. The only thing I do not love about Uggs is that they sort of flatten down after you wear them several times. Overall I love these!

Although Ugg describes these as slippers, I consider them to be shoes. In fact, they are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn! I have a problem with my feet, and these are just the ticket.

I bought this identical shoe six years ago and finally decided to get a new pair. Same shoe. Great shoe and great service. Can't say enough about Uggs and Zappos.
