Personally I like the Globe style of shoes which are very large and bulky rather than slim like a regular pair of running shoes or other skateboard brands such as Vans which are much smaller and very thin. The Globe Scribe has lots of padding on the inside of the shoe to help keep your feet comfortable and the color scheme is awesome if you're looking for a black/emerald green combo. There is also a bit of gray on the top and sides. Overall the material is a felt like material which feels very nice and because of the dark colors you don't see dirt very easily. Also comes with green laces if you really want to bring out the green in the shoe.

I like these shoes. Great price and great look. Wore them a couple months now with no problems, even wore them camping out over a rainy weekend and they held up fine.

I'm giving this shoe 3 out of 5 stars. It's a stylish shoe but not very comfortable. Mine started to fall apart near the heel after about a month and a half of moderate use. These shoes also don't have much cushioning; I don't recommend them if you're planning to do a lot of walking in them.

These shoes were great for about a month. They flexed out super bad after this month period, and then the sole came unglued about 2 months after owning this. I do not wear these shoes every day, so with minimal wear I was expecting them to last a lot longer. I have always wore etnies, es, and emericas, and I will being going back to them. The fit and finish of the shoe is not very good at all. Stray threads, and sloppy glue job made me wary of the shoe when I first got it in the mail. Really bums me out because I love the way this shoe looked. Zappos is amazing, and is offered me a full exchange of the shoe. I will buy from Zappos again!

Bought a half size bigger than what I normally wear because my size was out of stock. But they fit great. Very comfortable.

My son is extremely happy with these shoes,I was very surprised that the look of them and the texture of them was far better than I would have ever thought

This is an excellent show for day to day wearing. extremely cushy feeling and the construction of the show overall makes it feel like a tank. not too heavy for a skate shoe, and not too light either.

This shoe fits well and is great for the wind tunnel! Probably not the most comfortable for being on your feet all day, but comfortable for leisure.

I ordered this in a half size bigger than my normal size and I'm glad I did because its just right. The style is really awesome looking and I loved them before I even tried them on. Shoelaces are way too long they drag on the ground so I may need to buy a shorter pair. Overall happy with these and I would consider another pair if they wear decent over the next year.

I am a student at California State University, Chico, and I had to take a marketing class for my minor in business. During this class a test question came up on Zappos, I had never done business with them and figured what the heck. Ordered a pair of shoes I liked, expected them in five days, received them 12 hours later. They were too small, I was expecting to have to send them back and receive replacements in weeks. Nope! I had my new pair the very next day and sent my small ones back. Zappos earned a life long customer!

I love the look of the shoes. I've had Globes before and I have always loved them...but even though they are in my size they fit really tight.

The fit is good, nice and spacey like I prefer with skate shoes. The only thing that maybe misses the mark for my own preferences is the tongue. I like when it kind of sticks up and out so you can slip it on without touching the shoe. That might be doable with removing the laces from the eyelet and some breaking in, but that's a small preference point. I think my favorite skate shoes were some old off-the-wall rawly(?) from Van's i think. But all in all a good shoe!

Classic example of the "fluffy" skate shoes that you used to have no problem finding. However, even though the old school style is still available the fit isn't. The toe box on these is very narrow. I have very wide feet and these used to be a good option...not anymore. Seems like almost every shoe they are making today in styles you would actually want to wear are super narrow.

Had these shoes for a little over a year and a half. Sole ripped off and the sides burst from me bending my feet. For skate shoes these did not hold up like they should have, seeing as I don't skate, Also the sole is very thin and breaks down fast. Shoe looks good though. Only other problem I had with them is the right shoe stabbed my pinky toe and rubbed into it.
