NOT waterproof. In slushy/snowy weather expect your kid's feet to be SOAKED. Yesterday I poured a whole half cup of water out of each boot and had to literally wring the liner out. So irritated we bought these. What a waste of money.

We got Kamik, Sorel and Bogs for the kids to compare for snow boots. And we like the Kamik Rocket best. They are light weight (Bogs heaviest followed by Sorels), with adjustable tightening straps (Sorel is fixed strap and too tight across and hard to slip on). Kamik Rocket is the winner and we got a size up for room to grow. Note there is a M or W option and the M was good enough for us, W was too wide and would slip off easily even for average to slightly wider kids feet.

This boot runs very small, and my son hated them because the felt liners kept slipping out the one (and only) day he wore them. They are good for warmth, but that's about it!

This is the second pair of Kamiks for us. Our daughter hands them down to our son. The black works perfectly and the kids love them. The pull closure at the top keeps the snow out and is easy for the kids to pull on and off quickly. I love them!

It seems to be a wonderful boot but I can't get my son's 2 year old foot into it. He doesn't normally wear wide shoes and I ordered it one size big but can't get his foot comfortably into the lining. We are reordering the same boot but in a wide style.

I purchased these shoes the day before the snow of the century was supposed to hit our home near DC. We were expecting several feet of snow, and I knew our old boots wouldn't cut it. I chose these for the temperature rating, as we are moving north to MT soon and wanted something that would work there as well. Zappos got them to me the next morning, just in time for the snow to start falling. The next day we had 32 inches on the ground, and my son said these boots completely protected his feet from cold and wetness. He was so excited with this purchase. They were worth the price.

Great boots. My 3 year old can get them on and off easily on his own, and I've had no complaints from him. I did go with a size larger to leave room for thicker socks. he's a 9.5 shoe, I ordered an 11.

We love these boots and have bought them year after year. They are warm and keep the snow out well. The kids have never had a complaint. Last year my 12 year old daughter got Boggs instead and it was a mistake; the top does not cinch closed, like the Kamiks, and they are not as comfortable.

These boots are the perfect snow boot - living in Maine my kids need a sturdy boot that will keep their feet dry. I get this style of Kamik for both of them every year and have never had any problems with them at all. Fantastic book, easy to get on, cinches at the top, warm and dry. Perfection!

I got these boots for our daughter this winter they kept her feet warm and dry, better than we thought they would, the top adjuster is perfect for not letting the snow get inside the boot. Zappos customer service, as always, was excellent!

I bought this boot online for my daughter as I couldn't find a practical play boot to match her coat. We previously purchased a fashionable brown boot that she destroyed in one day playing in the yard. The fashion boot also had a zipper that she couldn't zip. This boot has held up beautifully. She is warm and can put in on and off herself. We would highly recommend it.

I'm very happy with these boots. The quality is high and they keep my kid's feet warm and dry in the Minnesota cold winter. The charcoal looks better than pictured.

Wonderful snow boots. Keeps my 3 year olds feet warm. They are easy for him to get on and off by himself, and the velcro strap keeps the boot secure and held on the foot, so no worries of losing a boot while playing in the cold and snow.

Super-warm and comfy. Was immediately impressed with the snug wool liner and ease of putting them on my toddler. We haven't used them yet in snow, but from what I can tell my little man will be one happy camper.

Great fit / warm / fabulous for fashionable kids. Got these so quickly. Another reviewer mentioned the huge snow in the D.C. area. Yep, 22" just before Christmas! I ordered these about a week before that thanks to a previous snow. My son loves them! They came in so handy when we were socked with all that snow about a week or two later. 22" of snow with boots & snow pants? No problem! My boys played outside in the snow for more than an hour. Sledding, forts, snowballs, running... Everything! Warm feet. My first grade boy particularly loves the red color of the boots; so do I! I also love the velcro strap around the ankle. You undo it, foot slips in so easily to the right place, tighten, and the boot stays on when running through deep snow. Yay!

My 9 year old son has these boots for our cold Chicago winters. He likes the look and they are very warm and comfortable.

We had a big snow here in DC, got caught without getting my son any boots. I felt terrible, the next day I went to 8 stores and they were sold out of boots in size 4. Visited Zappos.com and they had a wide selection in his size, I ordered boots on Monday boots got here on Tuesday. The boots were on my step I when I got home from work; I was "stunned". I have purchased from them before and I have always been very pleased with the product and my online experience. This is a well run organization; I am very impressed! The boots are great, son loves them and his feet are warm, too! Thank you very much Zappos; will be ordering again from you very soon!

We buy the same ones every year! My ten year old stays warm and dry. Also, they are not that heavy compared to other boots.

These were very difficult to put on. I have already gotten the larger size and it seems to work well.

My son usually wears the sorel version of this style. He says these feel much larger than the same size in the Sorel version. Returning for a smaller size.
