Fit and size were OK, but the leather on the toe of each shoe was scuffed and could not be fixed by rubbing lightly with my hand. Also, the footbed in the right shoe appears to have been stained with water or another substance. If these shoes are returns, they should have been labeled as such. Since I paid your retail price, I expect new shoes in perfect shape. Very disappointed in Zappos.

The most uncomfortable shoe I have ever tried. Wide enough, but feels like you are walking on rolled coins.

Bought these for my boyfriend; he went down 1 size in EU sizing and they fit perfectly. Broke in quickly, comfortable, wearable summer/fall/winter. They've gotten popular with reason!

These are my new favorite shoes! I had a pair a long time ago and wore right thru them. I’m so glad I got another pair!

I love my Birks. Have worn them for nearly 40 years and have been through all the styles. These are my favorite of im mor wearing sandals but now, sadly, seem to only be available in the narrow width and with the soft footbed. I don't understand why companies have to mess with the old standards, but I think my Birki-love has come to an end. *Sniff*

Closed toe Birks to keep my feet warm in the winter. Birks are pretty much all I wear- because they make my feet so happy.

Size 39 Taupe color- all perfect, exactly what you should expect from Birkenstock.

Can’t review the shoes yet. Daughter asked for them for Christmas. Although they look great and are exactly what she wanted. Zappos was out of stock but asked if I wanted to be notified when they came in. I looked everywhere for these shoes. Then Zappos notified me and I ordered on the spot. Love Zappos.

My love of the Bostons goes back 30 years when I was in healthcare and on my feet a lot. I loved them then and I love them now. But, I know what to expect. Reviews that say they are too hard, uncomfortable, the leather is too stiff -I’m sad that they gave up before breaking them in. The breaking period is so worth it. For reference, I wear an 8 in Brooks sneakers , an 8 in Doc Martins and a 7 regular in Birkenstocks. I’m glad Birkenstock are re-emerging as trendy-but it really doesn’t matter to us long-timers, we’ll wear them regardless

Plenty of reviews for this shoe, so I just want to make one point regarding fit. Those of us who are accustomed to Arizonas or other Birk sandals might find that Bostons don't provide as secure a fit, due to the absence of a front strap (which clearly cannot be incorporated in a closed-toe shoe). My solution: wear these with heavy socks. For me, this is a cold- and/or wet-weather shoe (otherwise you'll find me in Arizonas), so wearing thick wool socks is appropriate, and they confer a nice snug fit with Bostons. You should ignore my rating for style; I had to provide one in order to post, but style really isn't the point with this shoe!

44's no socks- perfect, with socks a tad small, 45 with socks - a tad large, no socks -too big. 44 footbed is the same as my Arizona Eva's. The leather is excellent.

I have many Birkenstock products: sandals, oxfords.... and now the Boston oiled leather. This has great arch support. All Birkenstocks have been good. But this is super.

I love fhese shoes. I’ve long been a fan of Birkenstocks and wanted to get a pair of shoes that I could wear to work in a kitchen. Other than the Initial breaking in I’ve come to expect these shoes are perfect. I also love the texture of the leather. Super durable.

I’m a Birkenstock fan and have been for 25+ years! I love these and wear them with just about everything. I’m a teacher, and wearing them makes my days a little bit happier! I’m between a 9 and 10 in shoe size, and the 40 feels perfect.

The leather is soft and fit is perfect!

If you want superior comfort, warm toes and a shoe that will last for years Bostons are great. They are tough to style though but my poor feet are thankful to have the support they needed, after years of abuse in high heels and shoes that were too narrow for me. As a result I developed collapsed arches and Morton's neuroma in each foot and im only 32. Oh well i guess ill just dress like a little milk maid or a nerdy librarian hobbit. :) even though they seem larger its best for swelling at the end of the day.

Comfortable clog, I wear a woman's size 10 sneaker. I have a pair of Birkenstock Florida sandals (3 strap in leather), that are a size 40. This is the size I ordered in the Boston clog, even though they were listed as size 9 - 9.5 US or 40 EU size. These sandals are 31 years old, so I know Birkenstocks hold up well.The length of the clog was fine, but the clog itself was just too sloppy on my feet, even though I had the buckle in the tightest hole. The Boston oiled clog only comes in a regular width, at least on Zappos' web site. Width wise my feet are on the upper edge of medium, though depending on the cut of a shoe, sometimes I need to order a wide width. The regular width on the Boston clog is fine, once I figured out the correct size to order. I took a chance and ordered the Boston clog in a size 39 EU, 8 -8.5 US size, which would be approximately the size I would wear in a men's size shoe. These clogs are unisex. So, if you are a woman, I would suggest you follow the men's sizing guide rather than the women's. The size 39 clogs I ordered are a perfect fit, which rarely happens with my feet. They will take a bit of breaking in. The big toe on my right foot rubs a bit in one spot. However, from my experience with Birkenstocks, I know the leather will stretch some and soften up over time. The foot bed will also conform to one's foot, so give this some time. I ordered the oiled leather version of this clog. In the dark brown color (Habana), with the traditional foot bed. I prefer a stiffer foot bed. I also know that over time the foot bed will not be as stiff, as it conforms to my feet. These clogs have plenty of wiggle room for my toes, and my toes do not feel like they are in a vise, like some shoes that I have sent back. (I am very thankful for Zappos return policy!

Fit is perfect - just like my other Birks. The oiled leather is a little stiff, but should break in beautifully just as expected.

Love Birkenstock’s. I’ve worn them most of my life and never plan to stop. Well made, last a long time. These classics are the best. So easy to slip in to, wear with or without socks, and easily adjusted for a perfect fit. Birkenstock’s EU sizing is off by an entire size, always has been. I always thought my EU size was 38. But with other shoes I’m an 8 1/2 or 39. Birkenstock’s are perfect for me at 38.
