Within about a month of purchasing these boots, the clasp at the top of both boots that holds the liner in, broke. now every time I take the boots off, the liner pulls out. Disappointing for the price. I thought these would be durable since my dad has the same Sorel boots that he has had for at least 20 years. Mine lasted a month :(

Hate these boots. My toes are never warm in only 35 degree weather. They are hard to walk in, and they don't have any bend in them so not so much fun to drive it. For the price not even worth it.

I have always been a size 7.5 or 8 and have never been larger than a size 8. I am now returning the second pair of these boots because the sizing is way too small. This product COULD be a rock star but the frustration of having to return now 2 pairs of them because they are not sized correctly torpedos the rating in my book

I waited a year to buy these boots. I was so excited to be home on maternity leave in the winter knowing if I had to run out with the baby, I would have the perfect boot to carry him around safely. I was wrong. I typically wear an 8.5 or a 9 in boots so I bought a 9 and they are just too big. I should have went with the 8.5. The first trip out in the New England snow carrying my baby to the car I skidded on the black ice. I thought for the price these boots should have had enough traction that I would not skid. I was wrong. This is a nice looking boot but it is heavy and clunky and not at all what I was hoping it would be. I wore them a few times to give them a fair shot but that's it. I'll sell these at my next yard sale and continue the hunt for the perfect winter boot.

Hope these are better than the previous three pairs I have had to return every year for the past three years. Boots tend to crack at flex points of foot after wearing for a couple months.

I am a plumber in colorado. They do not keep warm. They cracked the rubber the first winter I had them. Happened to my wife's boots twice. Good fit and comfortable other wise. Great if you live in a place where you don't have to worry about the weather elements or you just want to be stylish with poor quality boots.

Loved these boots! Thought they would be with me for years down the road... referred to them as "My Sorels", as if they were close friends... 14 months later the rubber dry rotted. A common theme I saw in reviews.., with only a 12 month warranty...? :( its just not fair.

I have been wearing Sorel's since I was 13. I wore those first boots from 13-39. I was in the Scouts, and wore them a lot when I was younger. The only reason I retired those boots was because the leather was breaking down a little (only a little). I saw these boots and I had to have them. I got the black on black version. I loved them. They look beautiful. They are warm, comfortable, and dry. In about 1.5 years of light use, the rubber cracked. And by light use, I used them to snow blow my driveway a hand full of times and I took a couple of walks in the park. They cracked so bad I can put my whole finger through the hole. I am so disappointed! Others have said the same thing. I would not buy Sorel's again until they address the issue. I don't except them to last 25 years, but I do except them to last a long time. There is no reason that quality boots shouldn't last a long time.

Buyer beware!!! The rubber is of poor quality and will crack after minimal use. Poor quality and not worth the wet feet later. I use to be a Sorel believer. I can't stand beside or "in" these boots anymore.

I thought for the price I was getting a quality product. I was expecting a warm, durable boot. I was surprised after 1.5 years of very light use(maybe worn 20 times in normal snowy conditions) the rubber began cracking on both boots in the same spot. I will try to exchange them or get them fixed, but I will never buy a pair of sorel boots again. They are pretty warm, but obviously poor quality overall. They are not made to last.

I have spent all season looking at boots, purchasing them, wearing them, only to realize they have to go back. Sadly, these will too. I love the boot, no issues with the laces, my feet are warm however they rubbed against my heel so much it was painful (end result: redness and blisters). Fortunately, Zappos is beyond awesome when it comes to returns. I am disappointed but not discouraged!

I bought a pair of these. Wore them 2 winters. At the beginning of the 2nd winter the rubber cracked, making them useless. I returned them to Sorrel, and never heard back from them. No refund either.

I have had Sorel boots for years. My father-in-law, a retired cop gave me a pair of well worn originals with new liners that lasted me another 15 years in upstate New York. I liked them so much that 3 years ago I bought a pair of Black Caribou to use for dressier occasions. This year with the advent of winter I wore my boots only to discover a leaking boot. I got only two years of moderate use before I need to replace them. Today I checked the warranty and see I am out of luck. 1 year warranty I am like many people here. Disappointed by the drop in quality. I will not be buying Sorels again.

I bought a pair of these on multiple recommendations. I was very happy with them at first but after only two months I started getting cracks above the sole/below the rubber upper. I took them back to the store I purchased them from and got a replacement pair. That new pair lasted only three months before I got a HUGE split in the rubber. I took those back too and will not buy another pair again.

I have owned Sorel Caribou's for over 30 years. They are comfortable and warm. The problem is in the longevity. My first pair lasted 14 years. My second pair lasted 14 years. 4 years ago I bought my 3rd pair. Lasted 2 years before the rubber started splitting. I bought my 4th pair during the winter of 2012 (Thought I would give it one more shot). They are now starting to split in the rubber also. Two years after purchase. I give up. No more Sorel Caribou's for me. Quality of materials or quality control has failed me.

Tough to get feet into - Theses run true to size, but the shaft is too narrow if your calf is a wider (there is a band under the lacings). More difficult to get on than my ancient Snowcats. Very cute, but this pair is going back.
