I have been purchasing these shoes for years and love them for any time plus travel. This pair the lining only goes half way down making a seam in the middle of the inner part of the shoe. This lining rubs my instep on both feet as it is rough. all the other shoes I have of this brand have smooth interior lining.

I was really excited about this shoe because I am always looking for a sneaker that is open so my foot gets more air, but still gets support. So I was very disappointed when I received them only to find that they have a ZERO support. For $165 I expected a lot more. They were stiff, and not very attractive. Sent them back and I will keep looking.

What a joke. These shoes were huge on my feet. The top strap on the right shoe was 1.5 inches longer than on the left shoe. Absolutely no arch support. For the cost, these are totally unacceptable and will be returning immediately. Don't waste your money on these shoes.

The shoe looks study, appears to have a sole with a heavy tread designed for trails, and feels like it has good support, but it was much to wide for me. I prefer to wear a size 9 narrow in dress/casual shoes, 9.5 narrow in Brooks running shoes, but since there are so few narrow styles available I have to make do with medium width shoes. Sometimes I can get away with an 8.5 medium to get a better fit, but going down a size in this shoe did not work as the shoe was way to short and my toes were right at the end of the shoe. There is a second strap on the heel that can be adjusted, and that was great for getting a secure fit in the heel, but nothing can be done to adjust the fit in the forefoot area. The main strap is set very close to the ankle on this shoe, as can be seen in the photos. When I take a step, the forefoot portion of the shoe bends out very badly, leaving a huge gap between my foot and the shoe. If I were to wear these on a gravel trail or beach I would end up with shoes full of rocks and sand at the first step. If the shoe were narrower and the strap was lower down on the foot, this probably would not happen or would at least not be as bad.

I have worn this shoe before and loved it, however, this is so wide I'm swimming in it. The length is good so another size won't work.

For me this shoe was a complete fail. I was looking for a walking shoe for a summer trip. These have no support, arch or otherwise, even with my own orthodontic inserted. For me they ran very large...at least a full size too big. They were clunky, and flat footed. Glad Zappos has such an easy return policy.

You would think for that kind of money they could put a good insole in it instead of having to pay additional cost for a support insole. Going back.

I had high expectations for this shoe. Ugh. They are TERRIBLE. I am a true size 6 with a high arch and high instep. These were so well reviewed. I thought the quality must be great at this cost. These shoes hurt my feet after 2 minutes of walking around my kitchen. First of all, the 6 was too short. It cramped my toes, but the width was too wide. Even with the strap as tight as it would allow the shoe was too wide. The size 6.5 was significantly larger. It fit like a clown shoe on my size 6 feet. HUGE discrepancy between 6 and 6.5 sizes. Second, there is ZERO arch support in these shoes. It almost felt like negative arch support. My feet were rolling to the center. I have flip flops that are more supportive. I really wanted to like these shoes. I loved the way they looked in the pictures and thought this brand would provide a quality shoe. I'm so disappointed. But I'm so glad I ordered from Zappos and can just put these back in the mail and forget this ever happened.

This color is not light red, it is orange. The red Allrounder, which I understand is being discontinued, is a good primary color that goes with lots of things. Orange does not go with nearly as much of what I wear, so I am returning these. Whoever made the decision to discontinue the red Allrounder should reconsider.

I am terribly disappointed in this Mephisto shoe. It is without support and like walking with concrete blocks on the feet. I assumed, because of the brand name, it would be a superior product, not! There is no arch support to speak of and no cushioning. I believe the Clarks Privo is much more comfortable and much cheaper. This shoe is a dud in my opinion.

Looks good feels bad - I really thought I was buying a great walking shoe. I find them stiff and not so comfortable. I would love to send them back.

Terribly Disappointed! Worst shoes ever. Top edges of the shoe cut into the tops of my feet. Tried to break them in, but the top of the shoe curves in too much. So painful, I cannot wear them. Would NEVER buy another pair of Mephistos. What a waste of money!
