SAS Aria Comfort Gladiator Sandal

I wear extra wide width, and SAS shoes always fit very well. They are comfortable, and the leather is soft. The only thing I really don't like is the strap which runs vertically down the front of the sandal does not connect to the strap at the bottom (across the toe area) of the shoe, and this looks kind of strange to me. I would much prefer it connected, or at least was a little longer so it would look attached. Other than that, they are very comfortable and more stylish than most offerings by SAS. I love the workmanship and the quality and just wish SAS would offer more choices which do not look like "old lady shoes".

Unable to edit previous review to add pic and update final decision. Decided to keep these despite the velcro because they’re just too great to send back. They are a dream to wear, and having a pair of cute yet comfortable shoes for my duck flapper feet is worth every penny! Zappos rocks!!!!!!

SAS shoes can be hit or miss; either frumpy and oldladyish or fairly stylish. I was pleasantly surprised by this sandal after trying the seaside slide (which was okay style-wise, but not comfortable!). This sandal was comfortable and style(ish), quite a feat considering my large, wide feet! I am a big fan of the pampa, and these are based on that, but with the comfier footbed of the sorrento (the sorrento are comfy but I look like I have Fred Flintstone feet. Surprisingly, this is not so with the aria). They fit the same as the rest of the SAS sandals, I was able to fit into a half size smaller than usual, with only a wide versus a ww. I ordered the white and again was happy that my feet did not look huge as is usually the case with a white shoe. It is nice that the first two “buckles” are actually velcro, hopefully they will continue to hold strong with wear, because my initial thought of “I have to buckle these every time I wear them?” would have meant an instant ‘no’. Yes, they are expensive, but I feel like I could walk all day in them and all those straps make them seem more stable than regular sandals. I also like the SAS clover and laguna (for casual wear) and the allegro (for a dressier look).

This footbed is truly so comfy it feels like my memory foam bed. Very cute, stylish, hip style. Love these!
