This boot is amongst my favorite work boots. The only drawback is the sole is a two piece instead of the red wing 100% cork sole. This separated from itself, but Zappos being great about everything as always took care of the issue. I would recommend this boot to everyone, just keep an eye on the back of the sole and be prepared to break them in...

crease in left tongue rubs and hurt my ankle, boot strings junk, will not stay tied, had to replace. would have returned but had already worn.

right boot, outer sole was wider than left side. sole on right side at toe was not sewn good and was pulling away. looked more like a second. returned.

They seem to be well constructed.Good arch support. The heel is a little large which feels awkward at first, but you'll get used to it.It may feel tight at first, but it doesn't take too long to break them in.

fit is good, side of one tongue has crease in it that hurts my angle. shoe strings are trash, can't keep them tight. had to replace.

My husband loves these boots. The leather is very handsome but he loves the functionality of these boots the best. The attention to detail is quite impressive...these boots are very well made.

Purchased these for my son, for Christmas. He said they fit great and were very comfortable right out of the box! Price was right too. Had to return a different pair before purchasing this one and your return process was so easy. Thank-you Zappos!!!!??

This shoe is very nice...high quality and workmanship. Very comfortable and true to size/width. Been wearing for a few days now...no squeaks! I bought these after I returned a pair of boots made by another company that started squeaking (the right boot) loudly after 2 days of use. Was highly annoying. Very happy with this purchase.

I purchased the "wide" width and they were still quite narrow.

Wonderful waterproofing! I work in an ER, and in the few short weeks I've owned these boots I've been puked on several times and had blood sprayed on my pant leg. My socks stayed dry through all of it. If you're familiar with medical work, you know some days are boring and I only get a few PTs. While other days, I don't get to sit down for almost all of my 12hr shift. These boots have been comfortable through all of that. I had a cheap pair of Wally world boots that left my feet and calves sore when I got home. These are a change for the absolute best, I haven't had a sore appendage since I broke these in. Definitely worth the price! Comfortable during long nights of running about a hospital, and even grip on linoleum that's slick with bodily fluids. 10/10 good for any environment

Impression right out of the box... Style: Really nice looking boot overall. The stitching gives it almost a hi-top moccasin look. Beware that the color of the leather upper is definitely more tan / sandy than brown but I think it's better that way. The light color of the leather help minimize the effect of scrapes and marks. I imagine these will age nicely. Comfort: Extremely lightweight at only 13oz! I was surprised when picked them up. The sole has a nice cushion to it. Moderate arch (much better than flat chukkas) but I will likely be adding an insert with more arch support. Being brand new, leather is a little stiff but I can tell there won't be much break-in needed. Inside of the boot is very soft and comfortable. I ordered a W as I have very wide feet that are easily irritated. I do not feel any rubbing whatsoever but also no excessive space in the shoe. Typically wear an 11.5 / 12 and the 11.5 fit very well. Durability: Have only worn them around the house so can't comment. I'm weary about the outsole as they are glued not stitched but Redwing claims they are of a durable, cemented construction so we will see. The lighter color will make it more susceptible to stains so I will definitely be treating the weather before exposing to the elements but I'm not too worried about it. Will update review if it becomes an issue.

I normally wear a size 10 EE, when I received the boots they were way too tight so I exchanged them for size 111/2 EE which fit ok. I am still breaking them in so I haven't noticed the bad things that the other reviewer said about the boots. The only problem is that they were made in viet nam, If i knew that i never would have bought them. After I break them in I will post another review if I am allowed and let you know if they measure up to Chippewa USA made boots.

I recently purchased these boots so I haven’t logged many steps in them. However, I would say so far so good. They are comfortable. They offer great side and sole support. This is my second pair of Irish Setters I’ve purchased for work. If they last 4 years like the last pair (Ashby 6” soft toe) then I will consider this a great buy.

I have bought 2 pairs in the last 5 years. After 5 years daily use they were pretty rough but still held together. I consider that actually pretty good hence why I bought the 2nd pair. The new pairs always look amazing and take a little break in time.

Perfect fit right out of the box, I am an old school redwing boot guy with over 24 years of experience with the fit and I have to say there was zero break in period with the boot after a 9 hour shift and being on my feet with zero discomfort today being the first day wearing them I will buy these boots again zero questions asked. Being a retired Iron worker and now working in a fab shop I am very satisfied with this purchase, If you have been buying from the redwing store and have had your feet measured by them their size will be a perfect match to this boot.

Very well made boots. I wear size 14 and the fit is right on. Fairly comfortable right out of the box. I'm not used to wearing boots so took a few tries to get the lacing comfortable, after that and a little bit of walking around they are very comfortable. Seem like they should last a long time. They are great for working in the woods.

These are for my husband, who works construction. We can’t afford a $300 pair of boots right now, but still want something that will last more than a month and make winter less miserable. These seem to be an excellent compromise. I did a lot of research before buying them. They are well made, waterproof, comfortable, and they should last a good amount of wear and tear. I am going to waterproof them further, just in case. It really helps that Zappos is such an awesome company with phenomenal return/exchange policies and practices. That goes a long way to me when shopping. I will also update my review if anything changes.

Poor design. Went with true size in wide. Could not even get my foot in it.

The boots run small. I got these for my husband who is a 10.5 and we are returning for a wide 11. He never wears wide so I would say they are narrom.

This is the second pair of boots I’ve ever purchased. The first pair was a mistake. Some hiking boots I got a few years ago on the cheap. They were just terrible - uncomfortable to the point I went out of my way to avoid wearing them and no ankle support. With winter rolling in, I decided it was time to get some good winter boots. I wanted something that is quick/easy to put on, fit nice, wear comfortable, that would keep me warm if I was walking a mile or two on snowy sidewalks, and support my ankles. Settled on deciding to try these as a first step - Zappos has such a good return policy I figured I could send them back and try a different pair if I didn’t like them. No need. These fit like a dream. The side-zip and vamp buckle mean they go on easy and get nice and secure with minimal effort. There can be a bit of a struggle to get my foot in, but that’s dependent on the socks and it works better if I use a shoe horn. The ankle support is enough to help keep my ankle straight on icy sidewalks but not so much that I feel restricted. Wore them around the office for a few hours and I was surprised at how dry they kept my feet. As an insulated winter boot I figured my feet would be soaked by the time I took them off. I’m very happy with these and I’m looking forward to long walks this winter.
