Eighty miles to the west of Calgary and hidden in the shadows of Sulphur Mountain lies the picturesque town of Banff. Each winter, the city plays host to thousands of outdoor enthusiasts, as well as some of the world’s most enlightened brand leaders.
The Gathering is an annual summit and a coming together of cult brands that beat to a different drum. Where customer engagement and satisfaction scale to the heights of the city’s mountainous backdrop.
For the first time, Zappos was honored with two awards at this year’s event. The first award recognized Zappos.com as a brand that has attained cult status among consumers. The second, The Pinnacle Award, was bestowed by attendees as a "best of show" acknowledgment of Zappos’ significant success and achievement among peers.
You really can't host a summit of brands that have won such fanatical levels of customer devotion and not include Zappos.com.

"Each year, our panel judges hundreds of brands on their cult-like merits, but only a handful are truly special enough to honor,” said Kneeland. “These awards represent a significant accomplishment, and have become an opportunity for peers from around the world to celebrate and pay homage to those brands who are so deserving of the recognition.”
Director of Brand Marketing and Fungineer, Tyler Williams, accepted the awards on Zappos’ behalf. Previous Pinnacle Award winners include Airbnb (2016), Cirque du Soleil (2015), and GoPro (2014).
