So these are really cute, but I'm shocked that none of the reviews I read talked about the fact that the insole of these is a rubbery type material, not cloth. I have to send them back and get the other slip on style because I will wear these with no socks and it feels super weird, almost like a flip flop but bumpy.

I've wanted Chuck Taylor's for years, but always heard they ran really narrow. As someone with SUPER wide feet (think: hobbit), I didn't dare order. However, after a whole lot of research and the fact that I needed shoes like these for a power lifting competition, I settled on this style. And guess what?! They are AMAZING. No problems with the width AT ALL. They fit like a glove and they are comfortable with thin socks. However, if you plan to wear them with thicker socks, I'd recommend going up 1/2 a size. Even better than the shoes was the fact that they arrived 27 hours after I ordered them with FREE shipping. I love, love, love Zappos, and I will never order from anywhere else!

I have such a difficult time finding cute shoes and sandals that would accommodate my insanely wide feet... I thought I'd take a gamble at these since returning them would be a breeze... I range between 8.5-9 and knowing how elongated converse can look.. I'd opted to try a 8.5... surprisingly my feet were able to fit without any struggle!! I even got to wear those thin socks that you would normally wear with flats.. I didn't even have to stretch the shoelaces... I wore them out for 1 day and the toe box was a bit narrow.. hurting my little toe but I feel like once it's broken into, it'll be super comfortable... NOTE: the inside sole is rubber if anyone plans on wearing it without socks.. overall, I'm super happy with my purchase and may consider buying other colors

I love this shoe! It's a great color, sort of a light grey. Very comfy and easy to put on. I like the cut of this shoe better than the traditional converse. Very happy with my purchase and of course Zappos customer service was amazing as always!

These are great to slip on in the summer! I tend to like the high tops with jeans, and I wanted something easy and low for the summer. They do have a more square opening which my husband thinks looks awkward. But it accommodates convenience for slipping them on.

I love love love this sneaker!!! I've never been a fan of converse simply cuz my feet always looks hideous in em (flat instep, wide width feet). Well!!! I decided to give this coral ox a try as it seemed much more feminine (sole much thinner and low top). Needless to say, I am very happy and am now a fan!!! Feet actually looks cute???... I wear a size 8 normally but a 7.5 in sneakers and the fit was perfect. Shipping was also excellent, 2 days!!!

Based on the reviews, I ordered a half size up. But I returned them and ordered my regular size. I like these because they have fewer holes for the laces. I think that keeps them from making your feet look really long. The shoe liner is interesting - rubber / plastic material with a bumpy texture. Not sure what that's for. I haven't worn mine for long periods yet, so I can't say if that will make them more or less comfortable.

I love these Converse! They are great for warmer weather. They have a rubber insole as mentioned by others, but it works fine for me! They have a slimmer profile and look great with capris, ankle jeans, and skirts. I have 2 pair and will definitely purchase more.

I have wide feet, but traditional Converse fit pretty well. After reading some reviews I decided to try these and I wasn't disappointed-- they fit great! However, the bumpy rubber insole was really uncomfortable without thick socks, so I have to return them. Such a bummer, as these are otherwise a fantastic style. Unfortunately, similar styles like the Coral Ox run more narrow, so it's back to the classic fit for me!

I've worn Chucks for 25 years now (I'm old!). I love them. They're great, classic shoes - but they always made my big honkin' size 9 feet look like flippin' surfboards. The coral ox is more flattering to my ginormous hobbit hooves than the unisex Chucks. It's great - I feel like my feet are dainty and cute when I wear these. Two gripes: 1) the insole is a plasticky foam type thing that feels strange underfoot and 2) the cut of the shoe is low enough that you can't just wear your typical ankle socks -- no, no -- you have to wear those stupid half-socks that will slip down your shoe, but kinda/sorta do an ok job of keeping your feet dry and blister free. that said, I kept the shoes and I still like them well enough. they're not an every day shoe.... maybe a once per week shoe. that's good enough for me.

Bought the white and they are adorable and SO comfy! I love the rubbery bottom. I wear with no-show socks and they feel amazing. Worth it!

Very cute and comfortable. They have a different footbed than a traditional Converse. It has more squish and is made of rubber.

I have to say this is my favorite style of Converse, and I am a die hard!

These are my first pair of Chucks & I'm pretty happy with them! I wanted something casual, but cool & these fit the bill. Like others mentioned before, the inside sole feels a bit weird & rubbery, but I wear no show socks so it doesn't bother me. I haven't worn them out for an extended period of time, but so far, they seem comfy. Love the color!

These are fabulous! The picture doesn't do it justice. The v cut is just enough style to make these chucks even more amazing than standard ones. They also have this rubber insole that has little nubs on them and it massages your feet.

These are an answer to prayer. I have always loved Chucks but they never fit me right because of my short, wide feet. I got the blue color and it goes with anything. I wear them all the time. I enjoy wearing them just as much as sandals, which says a lot. I don't recommend walking a ton in them. I did get blisters on my fat pinky toes the first time I walked a fair distance in them. I have not noticed any blisters from them since then, though.

I love the sporty-feminine cut of this Chuck Taylor! Gray is the best color, IMO, because it's neutral and won't appear so dusty with moderate wear. Best thing is you can throw it in a cold machine wash & moderate-temp dry. Really cute and comfy, had to cinch the laces up a bit for my narrow foot. Can't beat the style & price
