I am surprised to see negative reviews for this shoe. It works very well for me. I own it in black suede and slate gray suede. The rounded square toe and the angled blocky heel look very current. I find the heel to be very stable and the suede to be soft, making this a comfortable for a dress shoe. I took my took my regular Stuart Weitzman size and width in this style. SW always runs narrower than some other brands so I wear wide in this brand to accommodate a slightly wide forefoot. The W is not roomy like some comfort brands but is quite similar to the C width in Ferragamo.

These are beautiful shoes. I wear a wide, and could barely get my foot into the wide size. So sadly these will need to be returned.

I reviewed these shoes previously based on having bought and worn them in both black suede and slate suede, and rated them highly. I really like both and they are getting a lot of wear this fall. So I decided to order the same shoes in black leather. They fit well in my usually SW size and width, and feel very comfortable and stable for a dress pump. The leather is supple so they don't bind or pinch at all. However, looked very frumpy. The rounded off square toe and the blocky heel look old-fashioned rather than interesting and modern as the suede ones do. I returned them immediately.

I should have listened to the other reviewers but I've had such good experiences with Stuart Weitzman shoes that I ignored them. This is not a real Wide width shoe, not even a generous Medium width. And the patent leather is very stiff making for a very uncomfortable shoe. Generally love Stuart Weitzman and ALAWYS LOVE ZAPPOS!

Very narrow and edge on top is hard and cuts into foot. I love Stuart Weitzman, but this shoe is horrible.

I'm not sure in what universe Stuart Weitzman measures "wide" widths, but it's not in this one. The wide shoe is barely a medium, relative to other brands. Back it goes.

I LOVE these shoes! They are comfortable for the most part. I did put metatarsal pads in these because I am on my feet all day (flight attendant). I typically add them to SW shoes/boots which is kind of a bummer, but the style and quality make it worth it for me. I hesitated to spend so much money on "work" shoes, but absolutely love them. I get compliments on these every time I wear them. I would order another pair for when these wear out, but my size is sold out!

This style is smaller than most Stuart Weitzman styles. Medium width is very narrow.

Thee are beautiful well-made heels that can go from wearing with jeans or with a dress. True Stuart Weitzman Quality. And the Zappo's Team are great to work with.
I'd also recommend:
Go with a shoe made in Italy. They work! (But to start with, it would be nice to find Ferragamo.

I just tried these on at the department store and am deciding whether to order them here. (The smooth leather are hard to find. The shops seem to be carrying only the suede versions.) While I am normally a size 5.5, with Stuart Weitzman, I usually get a 6 and insert a front half sole. Sure enough, that is what worked with these as well. In other words, these are typical Stuart Weitzman's size wise, at least for me. I found them very comfortable -- comfortable enough that I could walk a mile in them, if I had too. They look almost as good as the similar Prada's I saw, but are half the price. I think I may have to get them. :)

Only second time wearing but seems quite comfortable. It seems a bit narrow.

I ordered the wide in 8.5 and unfortunately it was not wide at all. Interestingly I ordered the Stuart Weitzman sandal Barrio in a wide and it was definitely wider than the Marymid. Had to return the Marymid. Weitzman needs to get some consistency.

I've bought several pairs of Stuart Weitzman shoes and always found them to be true to size, comfortable and stylish. This pair is both true to size and stylish but missed the comfort mark for me. The sides of the shoe are very high and hit my ankle bone and rubbed on the outside and inside of my foot. Double pads in the heel relieved about 60% of the problem but the insole is sewed down so you can't put the heel cushions under it. Great proportions on this shoe but, sadly, have to return it.

These shoes are so beautiful. Unfortunately, the wide fits just like a normal shoe. And I'd expect more padding on the ball from such a high quality shoe.

I wear a 6 1/2 narrow, but this was a little long, and not very comfortable in the heel. It slipped off my heel when I tried to walk in it.

I wear size 10 Narrow. Could not get my foot into these! Ordered a pair from Stuart Weitzman and they fit fine, though they cost much more. I conclude that SW made a big mistake in sizing and then corrected it. Unfortunately, Zappos has gotten stuck with the poorly sized products.

Not your typical Weitzman shoe. The shoe is tight and short and the leather is stiff.
