They are boxy but I like boxy. It’s hard to find athletic shorts in a mid length. I find they are too short or too long most of the time. Being a mom of a certain age, this is the appropriate length for ball games or running around town. Thanks Zappos!

Love these shorts. I was looking for shorts with a pocket. I don't know why manufacturers of women's athletic shorts don't add pockets. We need pockets just like guys do. Thank you Brooks! Very comfortable, breathable, a little longer than most (which I like) and they have a pocket! I'll be buying more.

Love these shorts! They're the perfect length, they're not too boxy, and they have a streamlined side zip pocket! The pocket is way more convenient than the typical interior pockets and it isn't bulky. Wish there were more colors!
