Thank you to all the Zappos reviewers! I am normally an 8.5 to a 9 and I purchased an 8 wide to accommodate my bunions. I think these will be kind to my messed up feet for a formal affair. I have Rockport shoes and these run large.

Exactly the shoes I was hoping for. After couple of non-fits that I had to return, it was great to slip my feet into these. I'm a tiny bit larger than 9.5 and smaller than 10. These are just right, seeming to be a bit larger fir their size. Perfect for day and night. I will have one stretched a bit near my great toe. not because of the shoe but because of a large bone spur I have. But even as is, it's almost perfect. So relieved to find just the right fit for my difficult feet.

This is a nice shoe, but I wear a 5.5 wide, which was way too big. I ordered the 5 M which was too tight. Then I ordered the 5 wide which was too big. This is a hard shoe to fit.

I could not walk in this shoe although it is my size. I stepped right out of it. There was an empty 1/2 inch in the back of the heel. Nice shoe, though.

Didn't really like the toe design. Returning it.

I typically wear a 6.5 - 7 W/WW; orderd the Charis in a 7 W. It's a cute shoe and well cushioned; would be comfortable if it wasn't just too small. Now, I do have frog feet...narrow heels and wide forefeet... and this pinched and crowded my toes unmercifully. If you have a narrow forefoot, it should work for you, but for those of us with broad toes...not so much.

Way too tight for my bunioned foot. But quite cushioned and nice arch support.

I have short feet w/ a narrow heel, wide forefoot and high arch. My typical shoe size is a 6.5- 7 W - WW. Following the reviews that indicated this shoe ran large, I ordered a 6.5 W. When I opened the box and looked at it, I almost just put it back, it obviously was a smallish shoe. Sure enough, I put one foot in the shoe and my toes were cramped up in the end, both in length and width. It's a neat shoe and would have been the staple dress shoe my wardrobe needs, but, alas, going back.

Overall it's a nice classic pump for someone. I ended up not keeping them due to how they fit on my feet. I bought it in a size 7 which was too big on the heel. Tried a half-size down which was too tight for my toes.

Classy well-made shoe but slips off my heel. The width was good so I don't think dropping down a half-size would work.

I have tried different styles of Rockport heels and all seem to run very large even when ordering down two half sizes from my normal shoe size. These are the most comfortable heels I have ever worn, so I'll keep trying to find the right size.

Maybe it's my feet but the 9 was a bit too small and the 9.5 was a bit too big. In both cases, my heel slipped a lot when walking so I decided to return both.

I kept these shoes in my closet for almost a month after I purchased them because I was puzzled about what to do. The shoe is very comfortable and looks good. But each shoe ways over a pound and I felt like I was clumping around wearing them. I ultimately returned them and ordered a pair of Pikolinos, which are less than half the weight (although more expensive).

Beautiful dress shoe...not such a great fit. Heel slippage on all Rockport styles I've purchased is the biggest problem. I have horrible feet, though (bunions and hammer toes require wider width shoes; but I have narrow heels, so finding shoes is very difficult). Agree with another review...there is a significant gap in the heel and I literally could not walk from the parking lot to our church entrance on Christmas! I'm keeping both the black and navy shoes ordered because they are so pretty...hopefully inserts will resolve the problem overall. Going forward, however, I will stick to my tried-and-true Danskos and Aravon. I'm a loyal Zappos customer forever...the quality of their customer service as recently demonstrated by "Michael Sch" is the reason why I will only buy my shoes at Zappos...period! Thanks again to Michael...and to all of the Zappos team as well!

Beautiful shoes...but runs so large in the heel area...there's about a 1" gap and no matter what heel insert pads, non-skid inserts in toe area, or other arch support inserts I've tried remedies the situation. I literally cannot walk in them...they are like uncomfortable flip-flops and throws my entire gait out of whack! I expected a much better fit from Rockport brand and I would not recommend this shoe unless you order a much smaller size. Too bad, because the shoe style and look is really pretty...I only wish I hadn't already worn them to work so I could at least exchange them for a smaller size. :(

Yes, this is an attractive shoe with a supportive heel for middle age, not too chunky for big calves. But EXTREMELY PAINFUL! Take a good look at that insole picture. As another reviewer said, the two layers of padding don't go all the way across. Each is a different width, resulting in two edges cutting in your instep. So in addition to the cost of this shoe here, you'd have to spend more to buy a suitable drugstore insole (sometimes for me, different brands and styles, which adds up a lot) And then the heel doesn't fit right. Rockport used to be a dependable brand of shoe, but this insufficient split insole means I have to finish their job. I'm not a cobbler, I've got other things to do than try to make a shoe work the way I bought it.
