Shoe felt great right out of box. Shoe feels and looks like a quality shoe. Looks good with jeans or khakis. I have & have had many Rockport boots before. They have never let me down. Rockport is one of my favorite & go to brands.

These are the best boots I have ever owned. I actually own two pair because I spilled coconut oil on one pair and ended up just dousing them so they are now super soft and dark brown. I get compliments on them frequently and from people from all walks of life. They're my go-to foot ware 90% of the time.

The reviews are correct about these shoes running a half size big. Thanks to the reviews I purchased the right size. The shoes look to be very well made and are a nice brown color. I have'nt wore them outside yet,but they seem to have a fair amount of support for my feet.

Amazingly comfortable. As many have noted, these truly are a size large. I normally wear a 14, these are 13 and perfect. At first I thought they might be a tad narrow but wore them around the house fora few hours and forgot I had them on, they were so comfortable. I've now been working in them for a couple of weeks and wouldn't trade them. I'm in CA and temperatures have been in the 80's and they're great for work. Highly recommend them.

I read the reviews - took the hint and bought one half size down from my normal size. The fit is perfect. For those of you - like me, who have to wear arch supports you do not need to worry, the inserts in these shoes come out easily (no forcing at all) so that my custom inserts could go in - and - voila! No problems! Love them.

Love these shoes! They rubbed my ankles raw the first time I wore them, and I had to put bandaids on to avoid friction. I did that once more, and the third time I wore the shoes they were broken in! Now they look and feel great. Would definitely order again.

It took a few times of wearing them to break in, but now I never want to take them off. I always get complements on them too. I plan on getting another color.

These boots were perfect out of the box. No breaking in to do. I work on dirty job sites, so the suede hides the dirt well. These go perfect with jeans or even some semi-dressy pants.

Straight out of the box these were so comfortable and fit great. I thought maybe they might be too long at first but they don't feel long and no issues with walking. I have a wide for so sometimes I have to order a half size up to get a fit. These are on the money. Only thing is the right able is hitting the top of the ankle boot but it will soften up in time. I am able to wear thicker socks with these which adds to my comfort. Overall very happy.

This is the second pair of these boots that I have purchased WITHIN A YEAR. Why? I accidentally soaked one of the boots I first purchased with coconut oil. I couldn't get it out, so ended up just soaking the entire pair with the oil and they look great, just a lot darker brown. I liked the lighter tan look better though, so I bought another pair. I get more compliments on these boots than any other footwear I've ever purchased. Two things: they do run just a tiny bit bigger. I typically wear a 14, but these fit well as a 13. Also, the insoles are OK, but I pulled them out and put better ones in. Well made and a classically good look.

Bought these shoes for my husband for his birthday and he LOVES them!

As others said, these run big, so I ordered my normal size and a half size smaller. The smaller pair fit very well, while the larger pair (my normal size) was too large. Besides that, these are extremely comfortable, nice looking, and very affordable - just what I was looking for. I've worn with both a suit and with jeans, so pretty versatile too. If they came in a black or dark gray, I might order a second pair.

Nice boot but dressier than he wanted. Very similar to an existing pair he owns and does not need to replace. If he did, we would have kept these. Nice looking shoe for guys with high instep.

I am replacing my Rockport shoes that I have been wearing for about 17 years. So, I have really high expectations. This is my first online shoe buying experience and it has been quite frustrating. Based on reviews, I ordered 1/2 size smaller than I normally wear but when the chukkas arrived, my feet were swimming in them. Zappos was great and issued a return label and exchanged my shoes. Yesterday (3/20) my shoes arrived and I noticed they had been worn because the leather already had the breaks across the toe area. Most importantly the new shoes were a size 9 and I could not get my feet in them. So, once again Zappos is sending me another pair to try again. Zappos has been great but the sizing issues are another thing. I am waiting to see if this new pair actually fits, if so I will be happy but if not I will order the Johnson & Murphy brand.

I find these quite comfortable. The leather is stiff enough that they will serve as a medium-distance walking or hiking boot, but the boots are not "heavy". They will only get more and more comfortable as they age. The dark brown on the toe is not a plus for me, but I assume it will get less and less pronounced with age. I really like these, at the price. And they look nice enough to wear with slightly dressier casual clothing.

Too big. Ordered a half size smaller and that too was too big. Very nice but at least 1 size too big.

First day wearing these, but I'm overall pretty happy so far. I walk about 2 miles to work everyday, so having a comfortable shoe that I can walk in, but also looks good is important. I took the advice of others and sized down by 1/2 size and these shoes fit perfectly. I got the shoes in dark brown leather, and the toes are slightly darker than the rest of the shoe. The leather is ok, not the best quality and has a little gloss film on them that I assume will go away with wear. For the price ($100) it's acceptable to me. After just a few hours the shoes are already starting to break in. Time will tell if they hold up, I will try and remember to report back in a few weeks after I've truly worn them in. The only thing that I'm concerned about is that I don't believe that these shoes have a goodyear welt.

Just got them today. They’re alright but you know that leather look and you say to yourself “ah. so that’s pleather”? No? Ok well I guess my job as a leather appraiser got the best of me (jk ¯\_(?)_/¯ ). And I can’t decide - is Rockport ok as a brand or is it reserved for those of a certain generation - you know. the ones that own a chifforobe, not a dresser. Or a Davenport, not a couch. But I digress. The shoes are ok is what I’m saying.

I thought the material, construction and color were all fine. However the intended shape of these shoes is just odd. They are longer than any other I've purchased, almost comically long while even though ordering a wide this fit like a normal. I wear a 13 but can probably fit into a 12 if the shoe is wide enough, the water ski look isn't what I'm going for.
