I thought this dress was really cute and flattering, especially as I have a higher waist and fuller hips and can't always wear anything that hits lower than an empire waist. The fabric is somewhat heavy, so you don't want to wear it if you're going to be someplace warm. Also, the collar doesn't lay properly. It kept flipping so that there was a line of black visible on top of the white. If I had decided to wear it, I would have fixed the collar with what is called understitching -- a tailor or a friend who is decent at sewing should be able to handle this for you.

Great fabric - the bit of stretch was interesting and wonderful -- very rich, expensive feel to it. Love the bodice - it is, however, pretty low cut. I'm not busty and got an XL (10-12). It dips way down - I may have to wear a cami under for church functions. The covered buttons are functional ones - really cute. The skirt is very full. I possess plenty of thigh and rear end, but no one would know it - that skirt could hide a whole world underneath it! I would have liked it to be right at knee length - I am 5 ft 8 in, and it hit under my knee. I suppose the extra length is to accommodate a petticoat, but I don't wish to wear a petticoat. It is a pretty dress and just my style - though my husband thought it was a bit puritanical.

This dress is such a cute style I wished it had worked out. I first ordered a size XL based on a review that I read saying that the dress ran small. For reference I normally wear a size 8 in dresses and go between a M and L. When the XL arrived I was completely swimming in it so I returned that and got a size M which fit much better but was still too big. I'm sure a small would have been better but I was not overly impressed with the material so I decided to make the final return and not try again. The material is quite stretchy and given the style, you will want the top to be very fitted so if you are between sized I recommend sizing down.

This should be a 5 star review because I love this dress. The style, the fabric, the comfort. The only downside is that the zipper seems to have an issue with the stretchy fabric. It doesn't lie flat and creates a weird profile. I tried three dresses and they all had a strange profile at the zipper side. I took the one I kept to three high rated tailors and none could successfully solve the problem. I let the last one shorten the zipper it did not solve it but it did lessen it. That said, I received oodles of compliments and enjoyed dancing in a skirt that twirls and swirls!

This dress is made of extremely heavy fabric. Although the fabric stretches, it is way too heavy and it does not breathe. I wouldn't recommend it for an indoor function or for an outside event in warm weather. The waist fit very high on me. I wear a long-trunk swimsuit so I suppose I should have expected it for this style.

This dress arrived wrinkled and nothing I could do would unwrinkled it. I had the same problem with the collar that another customer had; ditto with the zipper. Just overall not as comfortable or as nice as advertised, and my husband didn't like it, to boot.

Runs EXTREMELY small. I generally wear a medium...especially in tops and dresses. I couldn't even get into this much less buttom up the tiny buttons on the front. It is cute but I would have to reorder in an XL should I decide to get it.

Cute dress but strangely cut. I wear a 4, sometimes a 6. The Small zips at the waist but up from that I can't close the zipper. I mean really not close - it's 3" too small all the way up and I'm not chesty at all. It's like they get their sewing patterns mixed up and it's an XXXS on top. Will try a medium but am not optimistic. Really too bad.
