I've worn the Gel-Cumulus model for 10+ years, and have to say the quality on the 18 suffers. After as little as one month of moderate wear, the neon green fabric at the top of the shoe has worn out along the inside of each shoe. Never had this problem on prior models. Did ASICS change manufacturers, or cut corners? Either way, not happy.

I bought these because I have loved past versions of this show. Not sure I have ever been this disappointed in gym shoes ever. I have smaller feet but get larger sizes to compensate for my wide foot, my toes at touching the end of the shoes. Not to mention a wide feels like a regular or narrow even. I also don't like the addition of cushion this version has in it. But it's too late to return them now, I don't expect them to last as long as my others did

I've been an Asics girl for years now so it was a no brainer to order these shoes as replacements to my old asics. I was really disappointed to see that they changed the shape of the shoe in the area around your ankle. When I tried on the shoes my ankle sat directly on the wall of the shoe and dug into the wall. There was no way I was going to be able to walk in these, let alone run in them. Sadly they need to go back. Otherwise the insole is comfortable and the design of the shoe is attractive.

I have been wearing Asics Cumulus for several years now (almost a decade, I think) and this new model feels great but is wearing out in the heels way too fast. I don't even have 50 miles on them yet, and one heel is already beginning to wear down to the white base on the edge. I love the fit of the Asics Cumulus shoes, and they are the only brand (that I have found) that runs long and narrow enough for me, but I cannot afford to replace them so quickly! They are perfect other than this flaw, which I am encountering for the first time. I am so disappointed! It's been such a reliable shoe for me.

My foot runs around size 8, but I normally go to 8.5 for a bit more width. I have never had an 8.5 be too short until I bought this shoe. I feel the next size up would be too big. Of course I have now worn them and cannot return!

I have been wearing Gel Cumulus for years for walking and was always happy with them. However, the Gel Cumulus 18 feels smaller and the mesh over the forefoot developed holes quite quickly. I wore a size 10 in Asics but went to a 10.5 C for the 18. When the holes developed, I thought perhaps I needed a D width, so bought another pair. The holes developed after only 2 months. No more Asics for me.

I have been a loyal ASICS Cumulus customer for many, many years now but something has changed with the 18. The toe box is smaller and seems to have less vertical space in the shoe. My toes popped up through the mesh. It's not that the shoe is too small because I have a full finger's distant to the top of the shoe. Really disappointed about the change and am not sure what shoe I am going to use next!

toe box is much smaller with the gel-cumulus18. I've been running with asics gel-cumulus for years now but these compress the top of my feet. need to find a new brand.

I have been a loyal customer to Cumulus and Nimbus styles. For some reason this pair was too tight at the toes. After wearing them for about 7 hours I wantedbto burn them.

I've been a loyal Asics customer since 2009 and have been running long distance in gel cumulus since the cumulus-11. I have a wide foot and all the models beyond 16 are far too narrow (17 & 18). Also I find the height of the toe box in the 18 model is too short. I wear a 6.5 in regular shoes and a 7 in gel cumulus. I had to try 7.5 in the 18's and they still felt too small. I'm so sad that I am going to have to find an alternate shoe. Asics team... please please please look into this!!

I love asics trainers but am totally disappointed with these. Ive worn them twice, they're too hard feet really hurt during and after each run. I won't be wearing them again, complete waste of money

Have worn these twice a week for about half an hour of jogging and already the mesh is wearing through. The sole of the shoe still has a lot of tread but I will have to change them because of the hole in the top. Very disappointing .

I have been running in cumulus shoes for a number of years. My last pair were cumulus 17 and I loved them to death - Asics had got the balance between cushioning and weight bang on. So when they wore out I excitedly brought a new pair of the cumulus 18 but I'm so disappointed - the ride is so hard that I can hardly run in them. After a few miles in the shoes the pain in the balls of my feet builds up to an unbearable level. I don't have this problem in any other shoes and I've tried to persevere but after a number of runs the shoes aren't any better. I am truly disappointed that Asics have changed the shoes so much :(

Shoes are way narrower than other Asics I've bought. I really don't understand how there can be such a difference is size or width within the brand.
