The shoes seem nice, but WOW, do they run narrow! I ordered these the same size and width as my other New Balance, but they're nearly 1/4 inch narrower. I'm sure Zappos will exchange them, I'm just surprised the same company (New Balance) could have such a size difference between 2 models of shoes.

I bought these for my 12 year old son for everyday school wear and very light physical activity. They fell apart after 3 months. The front toe separated from the sole. He likes them and they were comfortable and I like them because they are decent looking, but I hesitate to rebuy based on the poor quality.

The previous versions of this shoe had a little more room in the toe box. I had to go up half a size

No room in the toe box. New Balance run a full size too small.

These do run larger. I am always a 12.5 and sometimes the sneaker runs just right or a tad larger. Either way it fits just fine. This pair was huge! I had to double check make sure it wasn't boxed wrong, which is was not. I would seriously order a half size smaller if you find your normal sneaker a tad larger. Very disappointed with the no arch support. I don't count that small bump arch support that's just a joke! If you have inserts they eill fit just fine otherwise you will need to buy some with this pair! This ones going back!

This show was much too wide for my foot - which was surprising since I did order a 2E width. My feet just swim inn these shoes!

I have owned about 10 pairs of New Balance 623 sneakers and these are nothing like the shoes I've worn for years. I first started wearing these because it was one of the only shoes I could find in an all white 14 4E (nursing school). I've been grabbing these shoes off the rack and walking out of the store without even trying them on for years, but these are completely different. No arch support whatsoever. The bottom of the sole just looks cheap. The widest part of the shoe (the ball of the foot area) is a full 1/4" narrower than all of my New Balance shoes (many pairs of 623 and 608). They also felt very tight around the top of my foot. This next generation of 623 is absolute garbage. If the newest 608 model is similar to these at all, I might be done with New Balance.

I have worn different versions of this model over a number of years. This current version has leather which looks and feels cheap compared to older versions. I will probably shop a different brand when these wear out.

Bought this for my dad who has worn NB size 9D for years. Turns out NB sizes aren't consistent any more. These are a full size smaller than what my dad used to wear. Might want to consider buying a 1/2 to one size larger if you're considering these.

I have bought this model of tennis shoes off and on for the last few years for work. This last time, the shoes were at least .5 size larger than the same model I was replacing. I'm afraid to reorder.

New Balance use to be my go to shoe for the wide width. These 623v3 shoes in a 4E width feel like a narrower maybe D or E width. Even the soles are about a 3/8" narrower than my old pair which of coarse makes the inside width even less. Another issue is the lack of leather in these shoes anymore. Returning these 12 4E shoes and looking for another brand.

The shoelaces in these shoes are too short, I cannot use the top eyelets. An older very similar pair of New Balance shoes that I am replacing (with the same number of eyelets) has shoe laces that are 10 inches longer. I already complained and received a $10 refund. But I cannot find the correct size shoelaces locally, so now I have to go shopping online to find laces for a brand new $70 pair of shoes. That is ridiculous. I don't blame Zappos. It is the fault of New Balance.

The fit and the size are good on this shoe but the comfort level is low. The sole is very stiff, almost like walking on a plank of wood. I replaced the insole but it’s still pretty stiff. Not sure if these will work out with my arthritic knee.

I have had a couple of pairs of these shoes and like them. The all leather construction holds up well for me (mesh does not). This last pair split where the side meets the sole after very little wear. I walk to work and kept getting rocks in them. I don't know if they have cheapened them over the years or this last pair was a dud. I'm realizing now I probably should have contacted Zappos right away. Oh well...

I've been wearing New Balance shoes for many years now and this was the first pair that truly disappointed me. They seemed stiff and boxy, but what I really didn't like was that even though they're wide, they still bulged a bit at the sides, making me think they'd split at some point on a seam. They definitely didn't fit the way previous New Balance shoes have fit on me. In general they feel sorta cheap and shabby.

I would say I have owned about 20 pair of 623's over the last 10 yrs. The last pair I bought half of sole came lose after maybe two moths of easy wear. The brand workmanship is questionable, and I for the first time looking at other brands.

I could swear I had bought this NB shoe last year, but these shoes were far inferior. I wish I had not bought online. Materials are cheaper even though the shoes is just as expensive as last year. Unbearably shoes, the soles are not the rubber quality as before. They are harder material and appear to be more "plastic" They grip poorly and constantly make a "clop" "clop" noise on any surface that is unbearable. I don't believe the soles are rubber, If they are it is a cheap rubber. The large hole in the heal of the shoes does not help either (it acts as a sounding chamber) and is a hazard (for any penetration of foreign object) as their is no protective sole in the middle of it covering the softer material. Very Disappointed.

The New Balance MX623v3 was the first pair of New Balance shoes that I ever purchased. In the past I've tried other brands including: Nike, Adidas, Starter, Dr Scholls, and LA Gear. I have never been so dissatisfied with a pair of sneakers in my life. The fit of these shoes is huge. I wear a size 14W and these shoes look like clown shoes. They are noticeably longer and wider than all of my other shoes by different brands. They fit extremely loose until you plop an insole in them and then they are almost too tight. I have not had this fit issue with other brands. I am on my feet 12 hours a day at work. I need shoes that support my feet. These shoes offer zero support. They are uncomfortable and my feet felt tired, achy, and sore after a day of wearing them. I tried them multiple times at work, and found they made my feet hurt so much more than other brands. I won't be wearing them and I wasted almost $70 on these unwearable shoes which I cannot return because I wore them to work.

I've been wearing NB shoes for 20 years. This pair is the narrowest 4E I've ever owned, no matter the brand. They were too narrow and tight without even lacing them. Why would a NB 11.5 4E not be the same width no matter the model number????

I returned the shoe about and hr after they arrived. Soon as I saw the way it was made, could tell it was of lesser quality of ones made a few years ago. I'm still wearing those. They ran larger as well. Zappos, as always processed my return flawlessly. Great Customer Service
