I have 16" calves and I am short - my knees start at 13½". I have been dying for a pair of knee high boots that would fit me. These were not that hard to zip up and they fit! I normally wear a 8½ but sometimes things can get tight, so I got a size 8 in wide and they fit great. However, I returned these shoes because they were not very flattering or slimming. The ankles were chunky looking. The shoe part itself felt really clunky. The top of the boot was not form fitting (although snug) at all - so it still looked like it was splaying outward and open - this made the boot look very short and fat.

Just because it's wide, doesn't mean that our legs are cylinders. This was a total fail. There was 6" of extra room in my ankle. The "leather" looked very cheap as well.

In love with these boots! I have a 18' calf at the widest part and they fit perfect (size 10 normal width). If there a little hard to zip and tight at first, don't give up. My husband had to help me zip the firt time and I wore them around the house for an hour and two and the loosened up. On day 3 of wearing and they are perfect!

These boots are awesome. It took me a long time to finally break down and buy some boots after years of looking for ones that would fit around my calves. Though I measured my calves 1" larger than what the measurements were listed I took a chance and am glad I did. They are stretchy enough that they totally worked with a thin pair of jeans even. I love the color too.

I bought these boots because they came in WW width. I have bunions and high arches and am a hard fit. They are wide enough to accommodate my foot problems. They look nice and can be dressy or casual. They have a nice style.

Finding boots that are wide enough for my large (19") calves is always daunting, so I was excited for these! I ordered an 8½W, my usual size. While they did fit my calf, the boot was too big, causing it to sag and bunch up.

Unfortunately these boots broke down on me twice. The sole de-laminated from the boot at the heal within 10-15 wears. Zappos was wonderful enough to send a replacement pair and the second pair did the same thing. It can be very hard to find fashionable boots in the wide width and i was very disappointed at the quality.

Great boot! I loved it so much I ordered it in Black and Brown (Luggage)! Fits perfectly. I am a plus-size woman with large calves and it fits amazingly.

I absolutely love these boots. They have been a staple this winter. . Have gotten many compliments on them. They are very comfortable and stylish!

I was looking for a wide shaft, but this is extremely wide shaft. otherwise nice looking boot.

These boots are gorgeous. I have 19 inch calves and these fit like a glove. A little tight with jeans, but the leather will stretch just right over time. Great with leggings!

I love these boots! I am VERY hard to fit as I have wide feet, wide calves and my shoes/boots must be able to fit my orthotics. These boots do it all! My only complaint is that the heel is pretty wide - but I handle that with thick socks. My sister suggested a heel cushion and I may try that as well.

Boots are comfortable and a great addition to my wardrobe.

Slightly wide and big in the ankle, can fit over jeans easily and foot is very comfortable. Nice quality boot.

The shoe part was true to size for me (13W), but the boot shaft WAS outrageously wide! These boots look like waders on me! Gotta send 'em back. Too bad.

These were very soft leather, I liked the feel and look of the material, especially compared to the valley style I ordered as well. The foot was absolutely great, fit my ww foot perfectly. I measured my calves at 19 inches so I knew these were going to be a tad small circumference-wise, but other reviewers said might fit and they did. The problem was that the tounge part of the boot seemed to come to far toward my toes and created this huge bunchy area right in front of my ankle area. Even the zipper was curving out from it. On the inside of the boot it says man made upper, so unless they mean the lining, these aren't real leather. But seriously, I was duped!

Woohooo!!! I finally found a camel color, wide calf boot that fits!! I'm 5'2" & wear a 7 1/2 regular. I have a 17.5" left calf and 18" right calf. I got the 7 1/2 medium width & wide calf. I could prob do the 7 1/2W footbed, but sometimes they're too wide on me. The footbed is a little narrow & I can't wear a thicker crew sock or thick wool socks, but a trouser sock/stocking works just fine. And the best part is, that half of the boot isn't elastic that (to me) screams "I have wide calves!!" It looks just like a normal boot all the way around! The color is a dark camel which is perfect, goes with anything and looks pretty good!... not cheap like most camel color WC boots I've tried. It took a total of 4 diff brands of boots & 5 sizes! Thank goodness for the free ship/returns! Zappos was awesome & upgraded to free overnight shipping so I never waited! I had the next pair I was trying, the next day...multiple times. I really didn't want to spend $165, but after trying so many other styles/brands, I figured it's only $15 more so I'll try this last one! I'm so excited that I can finally get a boot zipped all the way up! They are a little baggy in the ankles but honestly, every boot I've ever worn has done that except one(& I can't zip them anymore bc I gained a little weight ð???). I have the naturalizer Jennings WC from last year & that doesn't fit this year, I tried the Sam Edelman Penny boot in 7.5W/WC which was super narrow & wouldn't zip past half way & even tried the 8W/WC hoping for an extra half inch in the calf, but the foot was huge& I could only get my left calf zipped up. I also tried the Dr. Scholls brilliance 7.5 WC which was narrow & wouldn't zip and I tried the Celebrity Pink Donna boot from DSW which fits well (bc it has the elastic goring in the back)but the brown looked awful....Sooooo incredibly cheap. (I did keep the black pair though). If you've searched for awhile with no luck and can afford the price, give these a shot.

Everything fit, but the width. I wear an 8 1/2WW and need an 18" calf. I was disappointed with the sizing, but liked the style and general fit. This will not stop me from shopping Zappos. The best site I've found

Loved these boots and really wanted them to work out however, there is a piece in the heel of the boot that jabs into your skin when you walk. If they could get rid of this piece, these would be a great pair of boots for a gal with large calves!

loved the look of this boot but just to tight in the foot width...

I really like David Tate boots, but this one didn't have the normal pieces around the ankle and just make them look strange when I put them on. It is all one piece of leather on the back. Bummer, because it was a good price.

Found the shoe wider than I needed and the back of the shoe was not comfortabe

The shaft on these boots was actually TOO wide, and I have pretty big calves! They bunched around the ankles, as well, so definitely not for someone with a smaller foot/ankle and muscular calf. I had at least an inch at the top of the boot, even when tucking in jeans.

Very large in the ankle and the upper area. Well made but larger than I thought and I wear a wider shaft and double wide foot. will try again.

First impression was that these boots look cheap. The color is lighter than the photo and I didn't care for it. These fit in the foot width but the shaft was too big for me. I have a 15.5" calf and wasn't sure if I needed wide calf or not. They were also fairly tall for me, hitting the back of my knee when I walked up stairs. So back they go.
