A trim but not tight fit, a light, crisp fabric with a very clean looking finish, no unnecessary cargo pockets, and an inseam that doesn't stray into capri pant territory? These may very well be the perfect backcountry shorts. The best part is that they're equally at home on the trail and at the brewpub. I'll be ordering these things in every available color!

I ordered the 32" waist with the 7" inseam. Inseam was fine but these were way to big in the waist. Design is nice although a bit short overall for my taste. I have another pair of Mountain Hardwear shorts that are bit longer and I love. The rear pockets sit lower than on other brands which makes them uncomfortable while sitting with a wallet. These are the same way.
