These are definitely easy hiking worthy when it comes to arch support and stability; however, extremely poor thought process underneath the straps where two pieces of fabric are stitched together creating a rubbing effect on top of foot. 1 hour in these I had bleeding blisters!

This is a cute comfortable sandal except the groove on the insole is right where the ball of your foot flexes when you toe off. So it grabs your skin and pinches it in the groove when you roll off the ball of your foot and lift up. This will give you a blister in no time. I cannot imagine what the designers were thinking. I tried my usual size as well as a size up since I wear a half size. Neither the 8 nor the 9 felt any different with respect to this groove on the footbed.

1st off I must say I would never wear these in my regular life (just not my style) but my feet are very messed up and I have a hard time finding comfy walking shoes. I needed something that would get me through a month long backpacking trip through India and these fit the bill! I have lots of knee and foot trouble, esp. arch issues. Never once did these fail me. Great backpacker sandal. Super comfortable from the moment I put them on. No 'break in' transition period req'd. Cushiony sole-I walked for miles in these. I left them out overnight and a dog chewed the straps but luckily my friend sewed them w/dental floss. Good as new! The dog chewed my fave flip flops too so bad I had to trash them but I just used these sandals and didn't miss them. I just popped the bottom strap down and slid my foot thru like a slide. I walked for a month w/these in India and they are absolutely filthy now but still have lots of wear left. I wish the grey didn't look so dingy so if that is important to you, get black. I like the teal color-I had to get this color bc of my size. Sometimes they get a little slippery when sweaty or wet but not so bad that is a deal killer. The velcro straps are really helpful when your foot swells due to temp/altitude changes. The look is not something I would choose for my everyday life but then again my fashionable shoe choices have probably gotten me into the mess with foot pain. I have a narrow foot and these fit well. Not sure how they would fit a wide foot. Overall very happy with these sandals and they will be my go-to sandals for backpacking, even with the sewn dental floss repair!

I have narrow feet and sandals like these usually do not fit me. I wore these walking all over San Juan, Puerto Rico on hilly, sometimes brick streets. I never had any problems and these sandals were very comfortable. We walked over five miles and I never had any leg fatigue either.

I own several pairs of the Teva Zirra and wanted to try this new style which appears to be an updated version. It had the same comfort and fit but the strapping system was a major upgrade. There is more adjustability and a more secure fit with the Velcro straps. I love the color options. It looks like these will be my new go to sandals from Teva.

These sandals are a must-have for anyone looking for high comfort while being on their feet for long periods of time. They’re comfortable right out of the box and true to size. Some people here have complained about the groove near the bottom of the toes, but that texture goes away after several uses, or at least in my case it did. The soles of these sandals are amazing, very stable, non-slippery, very bouncy and “cushiony”, especially for those with skinny feet with no “meat” on them. The straps are adjustable and soft so there is literally no rubbing at all. I have 3 pairs of these sandals, all purchased at different years, so there are some differences among them. I personally prefer the newer, sleeker and narrower look (they are still wide enough but not as much as before). The very first ones I got 3 years ago are the most comfortable of all, but they are longer and wider than the newer ones (in the teal color no longer available). My least favorites are my second pair, the Surf Taupe Multi color, which I got a year ago, but I bought on Amazon and starting to wonder if they aren’t authentic or manufacturer “defective” cause the sole is much stiffer, making my foot ache when I wear them for a couple hours or more, although the soles are the newer shorter and sleeker style. Straps are also not as soft as the other 2 colors I have. Moral of the story: do not buy these sandals at Amazon. The very last ones I got a month ago at zappos (August 2019), in the Tortoise Shell color, are my favorites cause the sole is as comfortable and flexible as my first pair, but shorter and narrower, making my foot look sleeker. Straps are softer than any of the other pairs I have. The only con with all my Verra sandals is that, after they get soaking wet, they would take really long time to dry up (completely dry probably about 2 days), which for some might be a big con, but for me, considering how comfortable the straps are, I would prefer them to stay as soft as they are with the same material that doesn’t dry fast, than taking the chance with a not-so comfortable “dry fast” material. They do dry fast if they get only slightly wet. I wore these sandals to Disneyland for 3 days straight, each day for about 10 miles, and I wouldn’t have been able to make it with all the aches and pains I have in my lower back, legs, and feet, if it wasn’t for these incredible sandals. Overall, the best and cutest hiking sandals I’ve ever owned. Highly recommended.

These were, hands down, the most comfortable pair of shoes that I have ever had on my feet! It felt like I was walking on air. The size was perfect. I have a narrow size 11 foot and they fit like a glove. I loved these sandals!! But unfortunately I had to return them for only 1 reason. They weren’t stylish enough for what I was looking for. But if your looking for a good hiking sandal, these would be your perfect match. The straps were very comfortable. No uncomfortable rubbing at all. I think they would be good for long distance journeys. If I need this style in the future I will be reordering these for sure!

I'm not a fan of this type of sandal, but needed it for an upcoming active vacation. I was so surprised how light and comfortable they are! The velcro closures allow you to really fit this sandal to your foot and didn't cause any uncomfortable spots. I over pronate and felt the arch support was good in these sandals to support my feet.

These Tevas fit me perfectly in length and width. Since I am a below the right knee amputee I depend on my left leg for balance; hence, I’m totally loving the support these sandals give me. Black may be a stable for one’s wardrobe, but ,hey, let color reign for summertime fun!

Hands down the most comfortable shoes I've ever put on my feet. I own two pair - black ones for working and doing messy house projects, and a brown pair for wearing with jeans/dresses. My feet are skinny and narrow, so the adjustable straps are great for keeping my feet snug. Arch support is a dream. I can walk/stand/work in these shoes for days on end without foot or leg pain. I plan to keep a pair of these in my closet indefinitely!

My favorite shoes of all time!! Worn to Florida beaches. Hiked (moderately) & camped 12 major National Parks from Virginia to the west coast summer 2016 and back. Fabulous fit and comfort. Good support. They still look as good as new 18 months later...indestructible. And...look good with skirts. Feel great now even after my major ankle & foot surgery (joint fusion/Morton'sneuroma, etc.). So, now ordering in two other colors!! Super customer service! Ordered these just before our trip to Key West in March 2016. She over-nighted me the size I needed and sent me a towel & nice (organic) cotton tote bag with it & a handwritten note wishing us well on our first camping trip to KW!! Love you all at Zappos!!

Love love love these, great for wide feet. I tried them on and bought a black pair at my local REI. Then came home and found all the fantastic colors Zappos has. I ordered the magenta. Both straps are adjustable, lots of cushioning in the heel and footbed. They look quite feminine on the foot, even dressy in the black color. Will be taking them on a trip to Asia with lots of walking.

Great walking sandal, very comfortable and stable. I bought these to wear in Southern FL for the summer to walk the dog during rain or sun conditions. Lots of flexibility with straps and back strap is soft neoprene type material that doesn't run on heel or ankle.

I've been wearing these around for about a month now. They fit fine and they're a cute style. However, the straps going up and around my ankle have already started to come apart where they're glued down on the sole. I live in Hawaii and I bought these with the intention of wearing them when I expected lava rock to be around but I haven't even gotten a chance to use them like that. I've only worn them around as street sandals. I'm going to glue the strap back down and keep wearing them but I'm very disappointed since they cost so much.

Love the color & style & have been wearing lots of Tevas for years BUT: the Velcro on the underside of the front strap is short & placed so that it is impossible to adjust the strap to a slightly narrower fit. I wear medium width but think Tevas are being made wider in recent years. I have to pull the Velcro portion through the metal buckle - and then the end of the top front strap sticks up because the Velcro doesn't extend far enough to hold it down. Annoying! I have to bring to a shoemaker to cut the strap.

I have been wearing Teva for years. I decided to try Chaco since I have read such great reviews plus I ordered these. The Chaco was fine and the instructions to adjust the straps were clear. But then I tried on these Tevas and there was no contest. These were more comfortable, easier to adjust, and much more stylish looking. I could even wear these with dresses. I have had nine surgeries on my MTP joints of my big toes and these did not hit in that spot. Notice in the closeup where the straps hit. These are a winner!

I bought these for a trip to Disney World and went on several long walks ahead of time to get used to them. They were perfect for Disney in August, because it's so humid and often rainy. These are perfect in-the-rain shoes. I wish that I would have ordered 1/2 size smaller though. They are pretty long on me and I stumbled on the extra sole past my toes a couple times (not falling down, just a little break in my stride).

These sandals are the only thing that got me through my Europe study abroad. I walked 10-20 miles a day and my feet were never sore. Waterproof, perfect and versatile to shift from walking cobblestone streets to the beach to hiking to a night out on the town. Best purchase I have ever made and I have the tan to prove it.

Purchased for a trip to Honduras. Very comfortable, required no break-in time, and looked great with any type of clothes. I was in and out of the water with them on and they were terrific. Very comfortable on long walks and walking up and down steep rocky hills.

Bought the Dark Spruce color for a more earthy vibe. I’ve never worn sandals to hike so I thought I’d give these bad boys a shot and they did not disappoint! I took them to a moderate hike at Zion and they fit comfortably thanks to the adjustable straps, had great traction and surprisingly great arch support to absorb shock from rocks. This green style looked really cute!

After running two ultra marathons in one month, I gave my toes a break and ran the 2017 Bank of America Chicago Marathon in my Teva sandals. I may never wear running shoes again. My feet felt great for the whole 26 miles. Now I'm running 5ks in them. They are great with socks or without. I love to run but my feet hate shoes so I'm so grateful that after trying hundreds of pairs of running shoes that I found these sandals. I'm 63 years old and my hashtag is #whatsyourgrandmadoingtoday

My favorite pair of sandals. I wear them for all activities. Comfort is my first priority, but these don't look too clunky with skirts and dresses, especially in black.

Love these sandals! I usually buy the Neota, but I wanted something a little more feminine this time so bought these in red. They make me smile when I look at them and they were comfortable right out of the box.

These sandals are adjustable for different foot types, which is very helpful. My foot is narrow and not thick, height wise. However, when the strap near my toes is tight enough, it overshoots the Velcro pads and has nothing to attach to, so the end of the strap sticks out and looks strange. It would be great to have a shorter strap there or more Velcro at the strap end.
